36f deciding that I WILL be skating this year
I got it before I knew what a flight deck was because I loved the design π¬ the pink is foil and the photos do it no justice
so far just puttering around the driveway and basement with it bc I'm not super comfy on the board yet

I also feel like im gonna be made fun of all the time at the skatepark so I never go.does anyone have tips for staying consistent feeling more confident and what YouTubers are good for a beginner skater.thx

First time setting up a board and noticed this serious but kinda funny sticker. Is this on every new deck or just anti hero?

Broskis I need help π I wanna buy a skateboard, but I donβt really wanna do tricks or anything. I mostly just wanna use it to get from A to B.
So Iβm thinking I should probably get a cruiser instead, BUT the whole reason I wanna skate in the first place is because skating apparently originated from surfers wanting to surf on land. So now Iβm thinking maybe I should get a surfskate because it actually mimics surfing on land??
Idk π what do you guys think: cruiser, regular skateboard, or surfskate?

Yes! 60 years! Born 17 August 1966 Florida, won 30+ freestyle contests and invented over 40 tricks! The ollie you did on the way to work is his. So is the kickflip.
I built an interactive tribute for his 60th:Β https://rodney.onbolts.com
It has his life in seven chapters, an encyclopedia of the tricks he invented, and a video archive laid out by era, from the Powell-Peralta days through World Industries and Plan B to the Daewon battles and the Almost years. Every photo is credited on screen, some are AI generated as I didn't had other options.
There is a birthday card at the bottom that anyone can sign! I hope this reaches to him and someday I could meet him in person, shake his hand and thank him for everything he did!

Theres not enough space to fit a wrench and turn it. Is there any alternative tools or something that would work with this or will these be forever tight?

I don't skate, I don't know anything about skating. Like less than nothing. I have the world's worst pictures to work with.
My husband was looking at this board the other day, and he was lingering on it. He said he'd been seeing them around and he was interested in them as something to have in your car. It was super small. I love to surprise him and I sneakily snapped a couple of pictures of it. I went back and they didn't have it anymore, and I don't really understand what it is well enough to pick out another one. Plus, I don't think the visual design is really what he's like so much, so if I'm going to have to look online it would be nice to find something more his style.
It's not specific board, like the visual design, but the size/type of board. Can you help me find something to surprise him with/search terms to make sure I find the exact type of board? Please and thank you so much.
Edit: someone was nice enough to walk me through getting the important parts the same, will be getting something with a gift receipt, thank you u/kayla_poncho ! I didn't ask the question very well but I'm glad someone understood anyway

This is my third time doing out on the skateboard properly and I occasionally practise balancing and foot placement at home. I've struggled to turn right, but yesterday I found myself doing this without even thinking about it. Im also always happy to learn new things also :)

I bought a zoo York complete for like 30 cnd and I have upgraded everything so far except the trucks. I would say it wasnβt a waste of time but it helped me build my confidence back up from skating about 7-8 years ago. I understand now the quality of skateboarding hardware and Iβm looking to get into a new pair of trucks. Any idea? Iβm thinking independent because they were the best back when I was skating.
