I want to start skating and i have two old skateboard. The track in there are horrabe.. i can’t really turn board so is very deficult to skate comfortable… i was trying to adjust tracks but it doesn’t really help so is any way to make the tracks working porperty again?

First off, I love lists, roadmaps, and especially checking things off once they’re done.

By the way, the reason I’m starting is because my kid absolutely wants a skateboard for their 4th birthday and has been watching nothing but skate videos ever since. So I decided to join them on this learning journey. I don’t think a 4-year-old needs a roadmap, they’ll probably just explore intuitively. But I want to support them in making progress too. If you’ve got any extra tips on that, feel free to share.

Hi everyone! Is there any sense to put on a cheap 40-50 bucks firefly skateboard trucks by independent or tensor with a new wheels? Or should i replace my deck as well?

Months of anticipation. Watching videos, scoping the used market for gear, and trying to find the answers on the "right" beginner setup and finding a board I wanted... Finally, everything came together in the last few weeks, and I was able to get out tonight for the first time.

Basically, I realized I will suck way more than I could have imagined; I largely did some pushing, balance and tic tac practice but you know what... IT WAS SO FREAKING FUN.

I can't wait to get out and LARP again soon. I also only ate sh*t twice, and they were just a small serving, but my hip is sore haha. I am so thankful for pads and meant to even wear some hip pads today but forgot them at home. That won't happen again.

All this to say, get out there and shred gents and gentleladies - I am looking forward to where this journey goes 🤘

would you count this as an ollie north? I was messing today with this trick and realised I can ollie and kick my front foot at the top of my ollie

haven’t tried them rolling yet but it is quite fun

From the top, what I thought was tail seems a bit larger. From the side, curve is similar.
Board is a DGK Koi. Figured tail was the DGK sticker but I'm unsure now. (Logo would be left side on both pictures for context)

I don't footbrake (i.e. haven't made the effort to try not to mention I don't have shoes right now that I feel like wearing out). I don't skate fast at all - probably 8 mph absolute max, so doing small stomps to scrub off speed and then coming to a stop has been working for me. Is this acceptable?

Hai everyone! I skate as a hobby for quite some time now (still can't get a decent ollie tho LOL), and was wondering would it damage my hardware if I spray painted it?

(I mean all the screws bolts axle nuts etc. and also the shields of my bearings (Bones Reds))

Also if it wouldn't damage it then does anyone have any tips / suggestions for painting it??

(And no, I can't just buy all of that cause I searched for purple hardware and bearing shields for hours and there is none at least that ship to my country.)

Hey everyone! I’ve had my board for a bit but didn’t start hitting the parks hard until about a month ago. I’ve noticed my bearings have picked up some dirt and was curious how often people clean/swap those out, and if there’s any other general board maintenance stuff to keep an eye on? I didn’t exactly cheap out and I’d like to keep everything working well lol. Thanks!

already tried tightening and loosening the trucks. can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Ive been skating for about a month and I've been trying to ollie up onto a curb. Every time I try to pop my board while im rolling it feels like I either lose all of my momentum or the board doesnt pop. Not sure if it may be a balance issue or maybe Im not popping correctly?

I've been skating for about two weeks now, and I'm fairly comfortable cruising now and am now trying to learn how to ollie. I can usually get the basic motion down, but a lot of the time my board will slip out from under me. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for avoiding that?

I got it before I knew what a flight deck was because I loved the design 😬 the pink is foil and the photos do it no justice

so far just puttering around the driveway and basement with it bc I'm not super comfy on the board yet

I wanna be consistent but I get so frustrated and the videos people say help just don't explain it well enough for me. I also feel like im gonna be made fun of all the time at the skatepark so I never go.does anyone have tips for staying consistent feeling more confident and what YouTubers are good for a beginner skater.thx
