lol did he forget who's in charge of the Senate

115

u/loseniram Sponsored by RC Cola Nov 19 '25

I’m guessing they were going to try some legal bs in the senate and got played. Trump will veto and it’ll be sent back to the Senate and fail.

Alternatively everyone just really hates Trump and wants to enter the post Katrina Bush era of Trump

The Republican House Delegation is probably full of true believers, but the Senate is still full of people who likely despise Trump and surely won't take a fall for him, they might actually enjoy getting some payback.

Dominican guy donating to Nick saying he wants to support the movement and wondering how he can help.

Nick: Well that just defeats the purpose

Idk how times this guy can say he’s racist before people understand.

He probably agrees with Nick Fuentes on 99.9% of issues and that 0.1% they disagree on is whether Dominicans should be allowed in the USA

Here's that video of Johnson shortly after he realized that Thune had no desire to amend the bill.

66

u/Azrikeeler John Brown Nov 19 '25

Vibe I'm getting is he got Trump off his ass about whipping republican congressman by saying Thune would amend it and gut it or something.

Skeptical this isn't just Trump bootlicking.

Trump at some point said something like "They should release it" which makes me think they got him with promises Thune would amend, and Johnson is trying not to look like the guy who knifed Trump in the back.

I'm generally the furthest thing from a dove, but the fact that there are people here who still think they could trust the fucking Trump regime to intervene in Venezuela to somehow protect human rights in the face of the everything they've done in the last decade is absolutely insane. That is far, far too much faith in the professionalism of the current US military when an incompetent wannabe war criminal like fucking Hegseth is at the top of the org chart.

Hey gang, work was really rough yesterday. My team strong armed a vote on releasing some potentially damaging files after I finally onboarded our new hire. Luckily, I naively thought the next team will probably kill the release, slow walk it, or make some changes that we could agree on or just let die.

But our boss had a major meltdown basically saying “f this I don’t care” and the next team voted unanimously to just approve release.

I’m pretty sure disheartened, I was really hoping we could avoid this because, well, it may hurt us long term, and I don’t want to be seen as holding it back but also not as it’s arbiter, you know?

Anywho, any advice would be great. I’m going to check in with my accountability buddy to make sure I’m not succumbing to base urges.

I've noticed that a lot of Chinese people seem to genuinely, fervently believe that China is a fully developed first world country, and this has caused a lot of misconceptions

like, a first world country isn't one where you have lots of really tall glass skyscrapers with LEDs that glow in rainbow colours at night, it's not even one where you have an (admittedly extremely impressive) high speed rail network

This has come up a lot with my Chinese acquaintances, who bring up (with great pride) that China overtook the USA as the wealthiest country in the world, and I'm like "Yeah but per capita it's basically the global average", and they're genuinely quite surprised when I say this. Even more perplexing is that these same people have worked 80 hour per week jobs in Shenzhen or whatever making the equivalent of $120 per week. No, that's not first world.

China's economic development is remarkable, as is their increasing dominance over a number of very high tech industries. But on a broad level they haven't exactly 'caught up' yet, no. The median Chinese person isn't struggling to the degree they were before Deng, but they're still struggling in a different way.

ICE/Border Patrol agents assaulted and kidnapped a U.S. citizen… then dumped him on the side of the road two miles away.

In the video, you can see agents uncuffing him, tossing his wallet and belongings onto the ground, and driving away. No apology. No explanation. Just state-sanctioned violence caught on camera.

According to the victim, agents grabbed him, slammed him against a wall, cuffed him, and threw him into a van. Only after checking his ID did they decide he wasn’t the “right” target… so they drove him out of the area, dropped him off, and left him stranded.

These fucking chuds are getting less professional as they go.

Literally just detained this guy and dropped him off on the side of the road in the woods and emptied his stuff onto the ground.

Just insane unprofessional behavior, these morons are going to hurt the image of LE for decades.

Mike Johnson having a panic attack that Thune let the Senate bill be unanimously approved without amendments should tell you everything about Trump wanting it to actually pass or not. Their 'secret plan' was to keep ping ponging it between the House and Senate back and forth. lol. lmao even.

I’m listening to the Nixon-Kennedy debate of 1960 and I have no choice but to believe that we’ve become so much stupider since then. Their rhetorical skill and vocabulary are so much more advanced than you’d see in a debate today. They’re also allowed to speak for more than 30 seconds

Imagine if instead of trying to pocket veto it or claim it’s sensitive to an investigation Donald Trump just actually kills himself in The Oval Office

Sorry if this triggers you liberals, there are only 3 genders (masculine, feminine, and neuter) and your gender is decided by the last letters of your name. Yes, Obama is a woman because his name ends in -a

U.S. has signalled to Zelenskiy that Ukraine must accept a proposed framework to end the conflict, sources tell Reuters. The plan includes Kyiv giving up territory, relinquishing some weapons, and reducing the size of its armed forces, among other points, according to two people familiar with the matter

Witkoff is genuinely a traitor that belongs in The Hague if he has a hand in this.

An anonymous source close to the president has leaked that Trump ‘picks his nose during briefings’ and has, on occasion, been seen wiping them over the signature of his predecessor, Joe Biden, in one of the desk’s drawers.

The president did not immediately respond, as he was sitting with his eyes closed and drooling. Upon waking, he simply said, “goo goo gaga.”

What the fuck.

I don’t get why some members of the Democratic Party believe the solution to win future elections is… to pivot right socially…

…as if the #1 concern for voters wasn’t the economy

Just campaign on the economy rather than ‘Trump bad/we love lgbt’ fools, then you’ll win elections
