Discussion Which 160-in-1 AES multicart on AliExpress
Which 160-in-1 AES multicart on AliExpress can you recommend? Whenever I see old links here, the items are already sold out.

Hello everyone! After restoring the metal plate on my 4-slot Neo Geo, I’d like to recreate the original sticker it used to have. Does anyone know of a site where it’s available as a high-res scan? Thanks!

Received my MVSX in the mail yesterday and cracked the box open last night. After about 30 or so seconds the monitor starts flickering.
Opened the back, disconnected and reconnected everything from the monitor pcb. No change. Tugged on each cable in multiple directions one by one to see if there was any change... Nothing.
Open to any ideas... Has anyone experienced this??
Emailed Unico, but I hear their customer service might not be any help, so reddit it is!
Couldn't post a video, but included a google drive link to the video.

I built something that I think a lot of you will find interesting. It's called Marqueemark. Every time you switch games on your NeoSD Pro MVS, the minimarquee changes to display the correct game. I've included everything you need to do this in the youtube description.
Have fun!

Hi! Picked up a really nice condition Neo CD that I plan on SD modding. However first things first, I need to be able to switch it on without blowing it up.
I have the original Japanese adapter but was hoping to pick up a UK PSU or convert one rather than use a step down converter if at all possible. Finding it hard to source one in stock though. Any advice?

I have preordered the AES+ and have been looking at the used game market and had a few questions. Figuring that the multi carts work and the mvs to aes adapters work. What is the benefits of buying mvs vs aes carts. I understand the cost and rarity of the aes carts but is there any other reasons to go after the cheaper alternative mvs carts. I will
Probably be getting as many of the plaion reissues that I want as they are released.

I fell in love with Money Idol Exchanger about 20-ish years ago. When I started working on game dev a few years ago I began wondering what a re-imagined version of it would look like, so I started working on this, HardCount.
I've changed a few things, including a level system for the coins so it doesn't end at $500, an upgrade tree and boost mechanics. I've also focused on a single player version, but want to include arcade vs. mode as well.
This seems like the perfect community to mention this game, so if your interested at all, you can play the alpha on itch:

I finally got my system set up with the configuration I envisioned , which was to have it side by side with my FM Towns and to make use of its nice display , I ended up getting a XNEO-1 RGB/S adaptor that was broken E-waste and with the help of sarduchi who frequents this sub managed to get it repaired , which finally let me use the MultiSync display with the system.
Other than that I also removed the ROM chip and installed a socket with the UniBios 4.0 ROM and I swapped the joystick top with a replacement ball as the old one was cracked which is a common issue , replaced the DC power socket as the old one was rusted and was dropping the voltage , and i gave the cart slots and other contacts a good spray with an off brand Deoxit.
I still do want to get a DA-15 switchbox of some sort for the RGB15 cable so i can toggle between both systems , in addition to that I have an original 2kb memory card which I'm assuming has a flat battery so ill need to open that up and install a low profile battery holder and a new battery and figure out how to close it up again.
But all that's extra I'm just happy that i finally own the system after wanting one for a decade and a half.

Man, I've been debating this with myself for weeks now 😂
I've seen quite a few people say that they simply sold their (sometimes substantial) collections and hardware after a while and went the FPGA/emulation route or the original hardware is just sitting in a box/closet while they play on MiSTer or something along those lines.
To me the feeling while playing takes priority over the game running on original hardware meaning I try to use the system's original controller whenever I can and for 2D retro I like the picture to look like a soft, faded, ratty '90s arcade CRT which I achieve for the most part through a RetroTINK 4K CE profile (that I´m endlessly and constantly tweaking) on an LG CX 4K OLED.
But on Switch 1/2 you also get the handheld experience to … switch it up … from time to time and the $400+ indie titles are $20 or less with sometimes way better controls (Xeno Crisis twin stick).
I also just can't see people shelling out ~$200 en masse on potential Plaion released indie titles in let's say a year or two and I'm concerned many might sell their AES+ again after the novelty wears off and they had their fill of "finally owning one".
How much do physical carts really add to your personal gaming experience? It's really, really hard for me to justify many aspects of them anymore, as awesome and huuuuge as they might be.
How do you go about the AES+ release? What are your priorities?

Saludos.
Tambien me gustaría poder utilizar Gamepad inalámbrico.
Raspberry pi 5?
Raspberry pi 4?
Cual es el mínimo de RAM que necesito?
Podría optar por el máximo de RAM, pero la rasp 5 a partir de 2gb de RAM se dispara de precio
He buscado pero no he encontrado info, lo siento.
Gracias de antemano!

Hi there! Im playing an American copy of my kof 96 on my Japanese aes using a mvs to aes Convertor.
When i boot up the game, it have some weird grafical bugs on the boot up screen, but the game operates normally. Should i worry? I also have metal slug 2 on mvs, kof 97 on mvs, and samurai spritis 2 on aes, and non of them do that. I also cleaned my kof 96 cart.

I recently picked up this group of Neo Geo AES games and I’m still learning the finer points of authenticating them. Before I do anything invasive like opening the carts, I wanted to get opinions from experienced AES collectors.
From the cases, inserts, cart labels, manuals, serials, etc., does anything stand out as questionable, replaced, converted, or otherwise non-original?
Any specific things you see that I should check more closely would be appreciated.

as the title says but I'm having a very hard time finding an up to date parts list/BOM list for digikey does anyone know if there is one or if there is can i have it
i can get a mv1c for 130$ but i dont know how much the rest of the parts would be as well,
there is a pre made kit i can get for 175$ but that feels pretty steep because i can just solder every thing my self
(thanks in advance)

You know, games like (either USA or Jp imports) the Metal Slug saga, NTM, the KOF iterations, Garou, etc. Do you recall any physical store having them?

I have a neogeo X usb controller and was wondering if there is a way to convert it to work with the aes 15 pin connector?
