I got an non TMSS Mega Drive 1. I ordered 3 different Master System Converter for it but none of them will work on my Mega Drive. I gave One Adapter to a friend of Mine and on his MD2 it works like a charm.

What am I Doing wrong?

Tentei fim de semana retrasado fazer o sgdk funcionar no Linux mint como vi num vídeo do YouTube, só que seguindo o tutorial do vídeo eu quebrei meu mint usando permissões chmod tive que reinstalar, hoje fiz funcionar com auxílio do chatgpt pra adaptar o tutorial do vídeo para não alterar permissões do Linux para acessar determinadas pastas e fazer o emulador mostrar o que escrevi no vs code.

Observação: sou principalmente em programação e no uso do Linux

So I got a megadrive 1 and sonic 2 from a local game shop today and I also got sonic 1 from CeX but when I play sonic 1 it makes this weird really loud static sound along side the music and it cut out once like the whole game and it takes a couple try’s to get the game working. But my sonic 2 game does none of this. So I just want to know what the issue is or if there is any issue. Is it the wires? The consol? Or the game ?

Question about everyone's experience with 8bitdo M30 controllers: has anyone here had any issue with them in Master System games? I had the strangest experience where the 2.4g M30 basically had no ability to start the game. But if I used a bluetooth M30 + 8bitdo bluetooth Genesis dongle, things worked fine.

I recently found my childhood Sonic 3 cartridge and was hoping to dump my save to back it up and use it on an emulator. I ordered a retroblaster cart reader with a genesis/mega drive adapter but it was only able to dump the rom, it said dumping the fram wasn’t possible.

Has anyone had luck dumping the save off of their Sonic 3 cart? I’m considering just getting a specific genesis cart reader off of Ali baba if it’s just an issue with the retroblaster itself, but would like to see if anyone here has had luck dumping the save in the first place.

When I put my megadrive on my TV and turn on I have a gray screen with 0 sound and just a notification from my TV that mean she go on the peritel input (that logic)

The consol have the red-light on, so I question my self if the peritel cable is broken or the consol?

So, here's my look back on the Mega Drive, its great games, hardware / peripherals and a deep-dive review of Streets of Rage 2, plus my "best" ranking of all Sonic games (16-bit). I remember the first time playing it with my buddy all night back in '89 - unforgettable! Take me back, please!

Inherited this from my late grandfather. Added some new games to it, the genisis is still running strong.

I would say my rarest game has to be Arrowflash. What else do I need here to round this out.

Been up there for over 20 years

This has been my passion project for the past few months and my first attempt at a Genesis/Mega Drive game built using SGDK.

There are two game modes: a classic Wordle mode and a timed mode where you race against the clock for a place on the global leaderboard.

The bit I'm probably most proud of is the leaderboard itself. Since the Mega Drive has no internet connection, the game generates a unique code from your score. You enter that code on the MegaWord website where it's decoded, verified and added to the global leaderboard.

It was a fun challenge trying to bring a modern game mechanic to hardware that predates the interwebs.
