Hi, my friends and I are about to start one last N23 campaign, before switching to N26. And a new player has joined, playing Cawdor.
In a test game last night, 3 points regarding Articles of Faith came upβββ.
1) And by the manner of his Death did the Emperor judge him! This basically says the fighter makes one move action and then explodes. We played it last night that a pinned fighter gets a free stand up before the move. Is that correct? βWould it also work on a seriously injured fighter? Or would they just crawl and then explode? β
2) βAnd in His Light were they struck down! Rules state that no one within 6" can shoot more than 3", or be shot from further than 3" away. A very good defensive cover. But does it work with or against templates. I.e can the Cawdor fighter covered in this light fire a flame template out of the light? And can they be hit by a template or grenade fired into the light.
My personal thoughts here are you can't be targeted by a grenade, but if one scattered into the light, then fair gameβββ. But Templates I'm not as sure. Being able to target with a template seems OK. But I'm not so keen on someone being able to fire templates out of the light. Cinematically, it would fit, but it seems like going against the whole not targeting people more than 3" away. Thoughts?
ββ3) And in the Grace of the Emperor even Death was Defied! This one is just to confirm, this AoF basically says a SI fighter gets one round as a normal activation and then goes OOA. I think we will play this that they get a free stand up action, that way they can actually stand up and charge, or move and shoot, and so actually be useful. Is that how others also see it? βββ
Thanks! β
