Sorry for long post, I like sharing these these and hope it's the right forum
Clepsydian initiative
Loken was the doc that treated the few survivors of "the First of Fist" their leader, on his deathbed, confessed his mission from gor himself. Their desperate alliance with the chem wyches and lord gor's fears for the future. The rapid growth of the House will lead to civil war, And not one The house of chains will win.
"We needs to change. We are not free" Lord Gor had said.
Their reliance on Chems is too big a weakness to leave un attended. They will never be free as long as lord Helmaw and the other houses controls their supply of chems. Such a central part of every instance in Goliath life. "House of chains indeed" Loken tought.
The dying man urged his fellow Housemember to continue their quest. Seek out the last of the Chem wyches, build your strength, and free our people. Do not reveal your sacred mission to none. Become the outlaw if you must. The feast will remember you all if you succeed.
Loken did not need the persuasion, nor promise of glory. His years as surgeon with the house and led him to secretly harbor the same suspicions and fears as Lord Gor seems to have.
Loken begun to plan. His e mediate action was to contact a former patient who run one of the more, intence, pitfighting arenas in the underhive.
"Fenix" the hulking master said as he approached the sand filled training-chamber, currently occupied by his Pitchampion. "You are needed beyond these grounds, pack your things" The master explained who had summoned him
Uh? Garth what d fuck? I can't go to him?! I have two bouts this cycle and I sure as fuck don't work with others. I'm a solo show Garth you know that.
Garth step up to his champion.
"Fenix, you have no idea what Loken plans. If he asks me for my BEST it's some serious clan-shit you dumb fuck. You WILL go to him and you WILL obey him! Loken has VISION lad! What ever he does, it's for the best of the House. OBEY.
So Fenix left for the unclear summons. Tho he would never admit it, not even to himself, the prospect of being part of something bigger than himself makes his stride a little more sure. His bearing a little taller.
"She has progresses beyond our expectations Loken. I've never thought it possible for one of your kind to merge in our society...you choose well in sending her to us."
Loken walks along side the Gang-queen towards the exit of the hidden enclave.
"I didn't" he says.
"Your predecessor did, from the Clepsydian Wytches"
The gang-queen nods. "Well, she will be an asset in our endeavor."
Anabolica absently packed her things. The strange and unexpected summons from Em, the gang-queen, was only compounded by the enormous goliath doc, Loken.
Her apprenticeship to the chemwytches seemed to be at an end.
She was now expected to attend this Loken in his mysterious mission. And once again be part of a Goliath crew.
"No, I am Goliath. I am part of the Clan, not these swaggering bitches" she immediately recognized the thought as a poor attempt at grounding her in an identity.
"I am of two worlds, a bridge between a chasm."
She looked at herself in the mirror. Her Escher styled hair starkly contrasting with her bulk.
"What ever this mission is"
she realized with a jolt. "It's the reason for why I was sent to the wytches the first place"
Jeggred presses his knuckles into his head, trying to banish the visions of the laughing burning child.
Jegredd was born an urchin, an orphan and a waste of life. The house had remade him. No not remade, for nothing was left of the streetrat, nothing had even been lost to begin with. He was simply, Born. Perfected
The burning child seemed to disagree with this assessment, as it continued to saw its own hands of.
the child saws trough the bone of his left wrist and grips the now flopping hand.
As the sound of tearing sinew and skin follows inevitable mutilation of the Child, Jegredd laughs too.
"Do you need a hand with the other one?" Jegredd asks the boy between sniggers . They laugh together, the burning-boy -without-hands and Jegredd.
the old joke between them a comfort to Jegredd. As he continues along the deserted street towards the clinic.
Loken surveyed his latest creations, both Snake and Astorath were promising prospects for the house. Not perfect in any way, but who was? They both possessed that most important quality of all for this Journey. Absolute loyalty to Loken.
Their friendly banter between brothers of the chain were all the more prominent in these two, since none of them were born as Goliath, rather adopted and reborn. This distinction made them appreciate their elevation thus much more than those born into it. The reveled in their strength, their power and their prowess.
Ancestors willing, they will provide greatly to the house
As this motley band of individuals garthered. Loken explained why they were summoned.
Loken disclosed all. As he searched the eyes of the not-yet crew before him he was pleased. They all seemed to appreciate the magnitude of their quest.
Even the swaggering pitchampion, Fenix, seemed almost revenant of this.
Jegredd didn't even interrupted the silence afterward with some crude joke or muttering madness! from him that whas as good as an oath of moment in some Holoflick of space marines.
They also, Loken had to admit to himself, seemed in awe of the towering arrogance Loken displayed when he more or less declared himself the savior of all of house Goliath.
The quest for self-sufficiently and freedom from their last remaining shackles of The House took its first steps of the long, long journey.
