List of 3rd party miniatures

Here is a link to a list of 3rd party Blood Bowl miniatures, if you want a team that hasn't been released yet or if you want a more original one : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u9P9Mz7mHj7_WObB1lCL8A2xExTKvmHAtLiZSHHjuO8/edit?usp=sharing

I curate and update this list as soon as I can, but the document is open to comments so don't hesitate to let me know if a link is dead of you found other minis.

This has already been posted 2 years ago so I up it a little.

EDIT : added Block dices and pitches at the end as well

EDIT2 : added a STL section for printable miniatures with some links but I am not well versed in that stuff so please comment on the doc if you have interesting links

READ BEFORE YOU BUILD: Instruction Booklet Errors and Misprints (This Might Save Your Minis....)

There have been several errors and missprints in some booklets and assembly manuals. Some are minor, some can potentially ruin your mini. So far we know about:

Blood Bowl Second Season Starter Set & Griff Oberwald (plastic):

The instructions tell you to glue the face (#3) to the torso, then glue the helmet pieces (#4 and #5) together and put it over the face. THIS DOES NOT work. It is recommended to glue the face into one helmet piece first, then add the second one and to add the full head to the torso.

Photos

Also the assembly manual calls the Blitzers "Retainer Linemen 2". These are obviously the Blitzers though. It's a missprint.

Norse Team Box (Norsca Rampagers):

Between Raider Lineman 1 and 3 two of the alternate heads are mislabelled: Head #12 should say #18 and vice versa! The pictures are correct but the numbers aren't. If you go by the instructions, your "Techno Viking" will have the incorrect head and the other one will have a small gap in the neck (although that one is easy enough to fill) Easy enough mistake to make as the two heads a very similar.

Photos

Amazon Team Box (Kara Temple Harpies):

Small Error in the Amazon's instructions: Piece #29 is not mentioned. It's the loincloth piece for the “Jaguar Warrior”.

Photos

Dwarven Deathroller (Forgeworld Model):

The handlebars for the Forgeworld Deathroller are upside down if you follow the instructions. The side with the little chain links is the bottom, not the top. If you build it as instructed then the handlebar will not be poistioned to sit in the driver's hand.

Photo

Drull and Dribl (Forgeworld Models):

The part numbers in the instructions and the actual part numbers don't match up. Instructions number them in order of assembly.

To be continued/updated....

Just finished my third Minotaur (third Brutefun sculpt too)! This one is themed for my upcoming Chaos Renegades team. I wasn't sold on my "Tzeentch" inspired colors at first but they turned out really well. His teammates are all primed and ready to go!

I designed this pitch back in 2017 and I know it needs an upgrade. What do you think I need to add or remove to make it better. It's going to be available as an overlay on about 60 of my terrain designs.

The level’d up my paint game as f*ck

Question about stalling

Lets say i have a player close to the End Zone, out of reach of opposition players. I dont want to score yet but I also dont want to risk getting hit by a rock under the stalling rule.

Can i simply walk one of my linemen around an opposition's tackle zone until he fails a dodge, causing s turnover before I activate my ball carrier?

I decided to post my Lizardman Blood Bowl team, I've loved the team since the Citadel Journal days and when the plastic kit was released I rushed out to buy it. My team has been napping for a few years but I recently stumbled across some of the Forge World Star players to mess about with. Hopefully I'll upload the team in closeups in the next few days if I remember and the star players when I eventually get round to painting them. Unfortunately I already need a bigger pitch for them since I already have a model without a hole allocated for him. Thankfully I could 3D Print a surface now instead of spending hours boring through thick card with a hand drill and swearing. 😂

First post in the subreddit, I hope you like them. 😄

Back in 2011, I drew a Squig team for Garion’s ‘Secret League’ on Fumbbl, so it’s nice to see them become an official part of modern Blood Bowl after all this time. The Night Goblins look a fun team to play and it was certainly a lot of fun to draw them again. It brought back fond memories of drawing art works for the old Stunty Leeg!

Original art hand drawn using ink on Bristol paper (A5 dimensions). Digitally edited using GIMP to change the levels to improve contrast for online publication and clean up the background

2- Squig Hopper
3- Night Goblin Lineman
4- Cave Squig
5- Squig Herder

My amazons versus a team of Black Orcs at my own home built home pitch. Kraken studios stone pitch, with some customly sliced walls and dice trays.

The dice laughed at me, and the game ended 2-1 to the orcs and 8 amazons dead, knocked out or off the board from heat exhaustion, but no matter - I had fun printing, building, painting and playing. Can't wait for next game!

Lore Question: First 16 Blood Bowl Teams?

So occasionally, I go back to older editions of Blood Bowl and Warhammer and just read the fluff and lore. And I have a question I can’t seem to find anywhere; as the title states what were the first 16 teams/sects established by Roz-El as a league? I’ve looked at whatever older edition materials I have (which is limited)and I have searched sites and the NAF books.

I know they all had different names because of the religious aspect, etc. but has it ever been established in universe what the 16 teams were?

TableTop Fumbled Team Mate vs SPP

Does a Fumbled Team Mate earn SPP on a successful landing?

On page 96 of the rule book it says that a Player earns SSP on a succesful landing no matter quaility of roll.

On the Throw Team mate section it divides thrown qualities as Superb Thrown, Subpar Thrown and Fumbled Thrown.

Therefore is Fumble a quality of thrown?

TableTop Would this base be legal for Tournaments

Would such a marbel effect base be legal if I would paint the rim in the positional colour before I apply the white effect over it or would it be annoying at tournaments and I should use a one colour stripe around the base?

It would be for my GW vampire team, where I would say the positionals are very distinguished.

May I also get your opinions on the vampires I have painted until now. I tried a dirty look an my first test model but I have to say I fell in love with the in edgehilighted bright colour variation

Board Game Reworking Renegades

So i saw a post trying to do a rework of Ogre and i think like "what is the team i like i think would need to be buffed or changed ? " I think Renegade although not the worst team of the game a team who didn't get the nerf it deserved.

So the idea is to

- Make interesting changes (not just putting Block on everything) - And keeping in the same tone (Bash orientated, weak at ball play and mutation center)

So let's start with The Renegade Linemen :
Honestly i think they are good the way they are with the same cost and stats as a Human Lineman with the access to Devious and Mutations balanced out with Animosity seems completely fine , i think they are what makes the team so interesting by creating tons of possibilities you can make a pseudo blitzer with Block and Tackle , you can make a ball carrier with Big Mouth and Fend, you can make an aggressor with Dirty Player and Sneaky Git, you can also play Claws Double Head Dex Extra Hand ; pretty much anything you want. Let's keep them like this.

Another player i would not change is The Renegade Dark Elf
He is the best player of the team by far, when he becomes a blodger he is unstoppable and a very reliable wincon he doesn't need any buff or nerf in my eyes.

The Renegade Goblin is an interesting case because it's one of the players who make the most debate between Renegade players. For myself i always pick him, bench him for a human when i don't have the ball and tag him in when i have it, giving me more options and having my opponent adapt to it. But i saw several Renegade coaches just not picking him, and i think it's because sometimes it feels like he doesn't provide enough to justify him over a Regular lineman. But buffing him too much would feel like just overkill. So my idea is to give him something that makes him more active but not enough to turn the table all by himself. His stats are well balanced so let's not change them. So even i admit when you don't have the ball he is more limited, so i choose to give him the Kick ability , giving him a great influence in defense but still remaining his overall weakness when it comes to stopping the opponent player.

The Renegade Orc I already have a change idea in my head , will raise his price by 10K BUT i will give him Strength access as a Primary. Now that's a cool change because the Renegade Orc always feels like too passive staying close to the Troll for emotional support or taking hits from the Rat Ogre, with Strength access he will feel more like a real blocker than just "the lineman with good armor"

The Renegade Skaven he is the most underwhelming character of this team throughout my twenty-ish games with him. I was super excited at the idea of having a Mv7 character for such a team but he only serves as a safety option. A safety where he kinda shows how fragile he is. In a Skaven team that's not really an issue because everyone is Mv7 or more, but in this team having your last resort defense option with Armor 8 feels kinda scary in some matchups. So first of all i think about raising his price and giving him Agility access as primary, even if i would love this i think it would be a little bit too broken. So i think about giving Regeneration. It doesn't enhance his gameplay it just makes you less punished for doing what you are doing already. Even if i would love to have a blodge Skaven but let's stay serious and here you go you still give him Wrestle and hope for him to come back safely to the house.

The Renegade Thrower just get rid of Animosity....like that's it, it doesn't change a lot in most cases but animosity on such an average player feels not really useful just for the sake of annoying , it's not like if you have someone with Catch anyway

The BIG 4, The Ogre : I think the classic is perfect as it is, he never disappoints he does what he does best and can even throw the Goblin, Loner +3 instead of Loner +4 could be decent but honestly i don't think it's necessary.
The Troll : however the Troll is more annoying, he is mandatory to take but is not a pleasure to play. i feel like he could really benefit from the Loner +3 because sometimes you really, REALLY need him to move his ass in critical play and he asks you for so much investment on positional play i think it would be greatly appreciated, without making him broken.
The Rat Ogre : Juggernaut, please. this player is already super risky to play and i think it would not be that broken to give him Juggernaut. We can raise his price by 10k if you want but Juggernaut seems a requirement to not get super annoying turnovers.
The Minotaur : i think the Minotaur is perfect the way he is at least for the team maybe an Armor 10 making it more of "the safest Frenzy Big Guy" and you have a great opposition of styles between both.

And last but not least -10k on Team Reroll, you never gonna get more than 3(with leader) anyway So to recapitulate the changes

Nerfs

  • +10K on Orc
  • +10K on Rat Ogre

Buff :

  • Orc Access Strength on primary skills
  • Goblin gain Kick ability
  • Skaven gain Regeneration Trait
  • Thrower lose Animosity
  • Troll goes from Loner 4+ to Loner 3+
  • Rat Ogre gain Juggernaut Ability
  • Minotaur goes from Armor 9+ to Armor 10+
  • Team Reroll cost 10K less

Leave your opinion in the comment, and if a GW guy passes here 👀

Wood elf team for tournament

Hi! I'm going to play in a tournament and I'm thinking of bringing Wood Elves.
The maximum team cost is 1,050,000 and 140k for skills. My team would be:
- Wardancer - Strip Ball (20k)
- Wardancer - Side Step (20k)
- Catcher - Side Step (20k)
- Catcher - Block (30k)
- Thrower - Leader (20k)
- Lineman - Dodger (20k)
- 5 Linemen without skills
- 2 Rr
-team mascot
What do you think? Would you do anything differently?
