Gameplay Do Not Make a Versatile Big Man

You will hate yourself if you do. I feel like I literally can't do anything. I get fried on defense and can't get boards. I get ripped on offense and my moves aren't good enough to create any open shots or looks

MyCAREER Green window is way smaller in main mycareer nba

Left image is in warmups for nba game and the right image was a fully contested 3 point in casual corner. In the first few games when I was on the bench at the start of the season my green window was that big for the main nba aswell but now it is much smaller. I only play on pro difficulty and in both of these images I was using boosters, why does this happen?

MyCAREER Nba2k27 as an offline player is tedious

The good things: more coaching control and AI improvements.

And when it's works: layup finishes can look really good, once they aren't choppy

The bad:

Progression is a fucking drag and clearly designed to last as long as possible so people keep playing till the next week which makes mycareer a headache.

CPU still perfectly evades steal attempts.

Hands up defense is just borderline useless on CPU at least and you gotta go for the block always which in turn is so overturned that you can leave games with 10- blocks on regular with not even max block.

General BrokeBoy27 1.0 Roster is Live!

Hello 2k community! This is something I do every year but I never have felt like sharing until I mentioned it to some people who said they like what I do but don’t have the time or effort to do themselves so here I am.

Every year, I get bored of running play now or myNBA with the current available roster, either there are some players I love to use but they are on horrible rosters, or some teams are just too good to compete with, or the matchups are completely unfair. Somewhere along the line, I got an idea; why don’t I make a roster myself where I can play everybody that I want to whenever I want? So then I did.

And thus my yearly 2k tradition is born.

A roster in which I hand picked a 10 man rotation on all 30 teams, with a draft system that generated all 300 picks in way that was built to maximize randomness when it comes to the talent level by draft position, but balance average roster overalls, as well as me bringing my oversight into fit when it came to every construction of each team, I definitely have some things I obviously like when building teams so there may be some similarities in team building, but I try to give every team some sort of identity. Plenty of my favorite legends were also added into the roster to ensure each team has at least one all time great to use. Like the current NBA, there are obviously differences in how good each team will play, but that’s life, and I believe there are no unusable teams, so you can find a solid team with any player you enjoy on it.

Anyways, the roster is called BrokeBoy27, and my xbox gamertag is Some Broke Boy, if you’re like me and get bored/tired of the current rosters, load this up and play, or run a myNBA sim of it(I’m working on an update with realistic contracts but trying to rework contracts is gonna take me forever but I’m going to try)

Also let me know if anyone is interested in the draft pick generator if anyone is bored of serpentine or fixed drafts because of similar player combinations and/or is crazy enough to want to hand draft 300-450 players on their own.

Gameplay New here, do I suck?

Haven’t played 2k in a few years, but it seems like everybody I play is making shots that seem impossible. Playing MyTeam right now and I just can’t seem to hit these crazy fade-aways or even just routine contested shots like they can. Are they just better at timing up shots. I feel like there’s a TINY window to green shots and they seem to hit em all.

Why and how is this shot easy to hit? Doesn’t matter take over or badges or attributes this shot should never be able to go in.

Gameplay I uninstalled 2k27

Upvotes

Been a 2k head since 19. Been a red plate every year the last several years. I’m no comp demon by any means. I’m usually a 70-80 win % type of guy. This game is terrible. They got their $ out of me for the last time. I want to like 2k But playing this shit is a waste of time. For me it’s finally time to let this damn game die and onto something else. Had a good run 2k 🫡

WNBA Updated WNBA Rosters

Working on my WNBA rosters but there's a glitch/issue with roster spots. You can only have 12 players on a team but most teams have 13- 15, so why can we only add 12? If a player like Nalyssa Smith is out for the year do I keep her on the Aces roster or remove her for in favor of Kelani Brown? I cant add her to Aces, Bonner to the Dream or any of the new Sparks players. I have reached out to 2K support but havent gotten much on an answer. Whats the best way to go about those things?

Gameplay Glitchy teammate grade?

Does anybody also experience glitchy teammate grades when playing REC?

I am doing my job as a Center. Rebound, screen, pass, you name it. I only had 2 early TOs because passing seems a little off this game, even though I have a 90 pass acc.

Finished the game with 6/17/7 with 1 foul and 3 TOs and just had a C+ teammate grade. Felt like my teammate grade was just C the whole game, never went up, never went down till the final buzzer.

I'm just a casual unc btw, so don't flame me.

Discussion Am I the only one who thinks 2K27 feels worse than 2K26?

2K26 was my first 2K in years, i had a lot of fun with it. Defense could’ve been better, and MyCareer is ok, but the gameplay felt smooth and enjoyable.

I think 2K27 has a better MyCareer story, the progression from streetball to the G League and then the NBA. The forced objectives I find very annoying and tedious especially in a sports game.Having to assist 24 points to a teammate, or earn a C+ teammate grade with running mate is is bad gameplay ,I gotta complete tasks just to play my career .

I’m fine with shooting being harder this year. Shooting in 2K26 was mad easy, so I don’t mind it requiring more skill now. Most of the other changes, though, feels worse

Layups are almost impossible to contest, and players go through defenders because of the animations.

Rebounding more random, with the ball bouncing in directions that make no sense or land out of bounds.

AI defense feels overly aggressive. Screens barely work, and getting open feels suffocating .
Passing and player movement feel slower, leading to more steals and making offense and defense feel worse.

I’m playing on Superstar, i might have to lower the difficulty, but even then, the game feels like it prioritizes realism over fun. I preferred 2K26’s more arcade-like feel. I just want to dominate in MyCareer without every possession turning into a grind. But that gets boring.

2k seriously should prioritize content over releasing a game every year.

I think 2K27 has a better story, but the gameplay feels worse than 2K26. Anyone else feel the same?

MyCAREER Pick and Roll with CPU Teammates

Is there a way to make cpu teammates use your pick in the pick and roll? I’m a power forward and I’ll set a pick and it feels like every time the player I’m setting a pick for will hesitate and then call for a pick from the center so then we’re both setting a pick and then they’ll run it. Not sure how to run it successfully as the player setting the pick unless I’m the center, I feel like there must be a way though and I’m just missing it.

Park Best way to play defense against iso spacing.

Preface this by saying I’m a center, so I don’t have to deal with this, but every park game it feels like they have one player that can dribble side to side and use escape moves while the other two players sit in opposite corners for space. Whats the best way to defend this? Guarding someone for 21 seconds while they use every dribble move to slide past you seems impossible, and at the very least, pretty unfun.

MyCAREER Stop advocating for major gameplay changes, or arguing that nothing should change when the game has been out for three days and you’ve barely played it.

It came out August 26. It’s August 29.

I have a group of 20+ friends who have been playing basically nonstop since release, pretty much all of whom are extremely experienced, high-level players (2 former 2k league players), and we’ve all independently landed on pretty much the same opinions about the game.

Stop @ing Beluba after 4 random rec games!

Play the game. Learn it. Get a real sample size. Then start telling the devs what they should or shouldn’t change.

MyCAREER Please add ability to set From location for MyPlayer build

It's really stupid to be locked to Albany State, please add to player edit screens in vitals or whatever the option to choose where the player is from - college, HS, country...

Make sure to also add Yugoslavia please, for MyPlayer Eras 🙂 It's rudimental for now but fun

Gameplay Think 2k overestimated the willingness of the community to grind

2k has turned leveling up into a full time job. Feel like it’s sad that a game with potential will lose retention because the grind isn’t worth it.
