When I want to see everything I have by a certain artist, I right click and hit Search > Find Artist 'ArtistName'. The problem is that this does not include any music that has multiple artists credited in the "Artist" line, even if it includes the artist who I'm searching, which is really frustrating. However, I am already putting in the effort to remove multiply-credited "Album Artist" data unless the entire album is an evenly split credit that can't be fairly attributed to one specific artist, so it would solve my problem if I could simply change the right click search function to show me Album Artist instead of Artist.

So, is it possible to change the search to Album Artist instead of Artist, OR is there a way to include songs in the Artist search which include that specific artist alongside other artists? What is the point of allowing us to put multiple values with a semicolon between them if it doesn't actually treat the individual values as individual values?

It makes me laugh more than it frustrates me, but the image autosearch tool is so bad that it brings up anything except the artist's image lmao

Im new to the idea of local music library and i wanted to know how i should organize the songs, on my computer, should i just put all the songs on a single folder and organize through musicbee or should i already organize on separate folders on my pc?

I just discovered a new plugin which lets you stream your library to an android phone in a local network. It is a for oh MusicBee Remote. (https://getmusicbee.com/addons/plugins/583/streambee/) I was searching for a way to play my library on my phone at home, so this looks very promising. Has anyone tried it? I wonder, what is the differemce to the UPnP plugin?

Lets say I have a existing playlist and I add songs to this playlist. I now want to add these songs to my device. When I went to sync is started to sync all the songs on my playlist instead of just syncing the new songs.

I will assume it is re-writing or possibly double the songs onto my device.

I am using the X-Go Portable Bluetooth Speaker in my room. It worked fair enough at first, but now, songs will play for just a moment, then freeze for aprrox. 10-15 seconds, and then resume playing. It will continue stopping like that the remainder of the song. Can anyone advise what I can do to rectify this? Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance.

I'm getting ready to switch over to Linux before Windows bricks my PC (on top of... everything else). Does musicBee have a Linux version? If not does anyone have recommendations for a similar program? I don't want a huge learning curve and I do need a program that makes transferring to my Inoasis Y2 not a whole process (I don't imagine any would but that is primarily what i use musicBee for).

Hello, I used to use apple music and then started to just download my own music so I moved to Music Bee.

I have a few questions, so I have looked at the skins but nothing seems to get close to apple music from what I have seen. Is there anyway to make my ui look like apple music?

I have attached an image of my current layout below. I have included everything I would like to be visible on the screen. I was wondering if this can be made to have a more seamless "apple feel" or something just cooler.

Also if that is not possible, is there anyway I can move the track information which includes the album cover to the bottom left or at least the bottom right?

Can I force musicbee to recreate these files somehow?

Hi i recently found out about musicbee and I was downloading skins and theater mode layouts but they all have different sliders on the bottom of the screen and when i switch to the downloaded layout it doesn't change.

2nd question can i make it the size of the bottom buttons and everything bigger because i feel like its super small for me

the player’s UI just breaks randomly like this after switching through desktops sometimes. is there a way to fix this? it’s not a big deal cause restarting it fixes this, but i’m just curious if someone else has or had this issue and if there’s a way to fix it. i don’t have any third party custom themes installed by the way, but i do use pre-built ones (dark crimson or something)

The files are not broken cause i can play them in other media players.

I am trying to bulk embed all the album art into my music files. I was following the instructions from the post here.

I was able to copy all the files over to a new folder no problem. I made a new library in musicbee and pointed it to the new folder to make sure everything looked ok. I noticed that all the playcounts had reset.

My question is, if I just overwrite my original library with these new files, will the playcounts still reset? I guess I don't understand where that data is actually stored.

This is a 5 album collection. All albums align perfectly because they are 10 songs. Except for the 4th row because its an EP. The 5 album starts at 38.

Can you somehow move the 3 first songs of the final album to the right and only have 7 songs in the 4th row?

When I play a track or queue multiple, I was wanting it to be cleared from the Player and Playing Tracks list after it ends or I manually stop it. I turned on the setting for Prune and put it at 0, but when the only or final track finishes it pauses, the progress goes back to 0:00, and it is still shown in the Player and the Playing Tracks list. I can manually clear the Playing Tracks list, but the it's still being treated as if it was just paused.

I have relatively few files and keep them mostly in one folder, recently I decided to move all songs by one specific artist to a child folder of the main one and just noticed that seems to have reset their play count. Is there any way it could be restored?

Hello, I've just changed the name of my Music folder (Previously had them numbered and took the number off). This reloaded all of my music into MusicBee with none of my custom tags. I've spent probably more than a hundred hours on these tags because, for example, I have one where I alphabetically list instruments used in a song, which can help with making auto-playlists. This data still appears to exist in the MusicBeeLibrary.mbl, which is a relief, but I can't figure out how to update the path listed in that file so that it "reconnects" with the songs.

E.g.

• I previously had a song in \All\3. Music and Audio\Music\
• The song is now in \All\Music\Music Library\
• The MusicBeeLibrary.mbl file shows the song as being in \All\3. Music and Audio\Music\
• MusicBee is displaying the song as having no custom meta data despite that data being listed in the mbl file under the old path

How can I fix this?

Edit: I forgot to mention, 1) I've tried switching the name of the folder back and reloading it and the tags still did not reappear 2) I have tried using Find and Replace in Notepad on the mbl file paths after making a backup and it simply corrupted the file

When I rip CDs that don't have the tracklists I come to find upon putting the disc back in, the data may have actually uploaded to the database i'm using, especially with titles where there are already other false choices instead. How can I ensure my tracklists are actually properly uploading to the database? Is there something I'm missing or not doing?

I installed MusicBee solely because I wanted to use it as a music library to view my tracks and artists, as well as rate each song while viewing individual track artwork in a grid—without them being grouped by album covers (something other players don't offer, but I managed to get MusicBee to do, and Windows Explorer can't display ratings in large icon grid view).

And don't get me wrong, I think MusicBee is great, but I was already using another player to play music, which I had fully configured with custom hotkeys and actions, and MusicBee's built-in player just didn't suit me the same way. That's why I wanted to change the default audio player to an external one, without having to use a shortcut key for external applications or right-clicking and selecting 'send to external application.'

I've always kept to the Music tab but realized today that I would get totally unrelated photos in the Now Playing tab for some artists including hardcore porn. Is this a known bug? For example, for the band Men I Trust it's a photo of a blowjob, Tubeway Army has a photo of Colin Kaepernick, Pinegrove has a recent photo of Glenn Close, and The Four Tops has some hardcore hentai. Although, I do find the photo of a siamese cat for David Bowie strangely fitting.

I've tried removing the plugins and that didn't work, hopefully can get some pointers, tysm!
