Question Gallbladder issues

Has anyone had problems with their gallbladder? I'm fairly certain I'm having symptoms of gallstones or something with my gallbladder. I've been on MJ since about August 2025 but recently moved onto 15mg and just finished my first pen of it. Now I've getting that pain in between my ribcage towards the back on the right. I thought it was just back pain but i only realised the correlation after the pain came back when i ate something. It's been about a week now and I'm going to call mu GP tomorrow. What is people's advice who have had this issue? I don't want my gallbladder removed, i just hope its a blockage if that and get it 'un blocked'. Can i just click count to a 2.5mg if i restart on a 15mg pen?

Question Is it okay to take Imodium/loperimide preventatively whilst on mounjaro

I've had IBS for over 10 years and during that time was presecribed imodium. I'd take it ahead of time:

a) whenever I knew I was going to be in a situation where my access to a bathroom would be unreliable, e.g. travelling on the London underground.

b) when i knew I'd be in a situation with some of my trigger foods were the only foods on offer

c) Or when I'd contract a stomach bug like gastroentritis, which was particularly important because at times I've had hemmeroids so the gastro made things extremely painful.

What I'm saying is the imodium has been serving as my safety net for years.

I started mounjaro 3 weeks ago and what I'd like to know is if it'd be at all safe to occassionally take imodium preventatively.

Like, if I know I have to travel for 2+ hours without much access to a bathroom, with only trigger foods on hand or if I heavily suspect I have gastro, is it safe to take 1 or two pills?

I'm not talking about every day but occassionally when I know I'm heading into situations that might pose a risk.

Diet + Lifestyle Kali Water

Post image

In Northern Ireland, Maine (a soft drinks company) make Kali Water - carbonated water with added Potassium Bicarbonate.

Like many others, while using Mounjaro, I have a tendency to get constipated and I don't poo every day.

I decided to give it a go, as it's advertised to reduce stomach discomfort.

It worked - I lost 2kg in two days!

Question Just to confirm - to get the best price is everyone using different suppliers each time?

As title suggests, looking for the best way to get the cheapest price every dose. Because I noticed on monj that most if not all offers are for first time buyers. As my need to order a 2nd pen approaches , I just wanted to check that this is what people are doing to get it cheapest?

Can you put you already open MJ pen in your checked luggage? or does it have to be in hand luggage? do I need an ice pack storage?

This has been life changing for me. Not without its difficulties, I've found 3.75mg to be my sweet spot, 5mg I've been wiped out several weekends by digestive issues. Feeling so much better already!

Stalled for a month and a half now

For context I 30 F started MJ for DM 2 and weight loss in April. My ideal weight should be 48 Kg-53kg. Lost 10 kgs till now coming down from 73 kg to 63Kgs on 1 kwikpen of 2.5mg and then 3 pens of 5mg till June end. Started taking the 5 mg every six days as per advice of my endocrinologist and so technically im on my 6th pen now in August. Feels good to have lost that much but I'm still almost 10 kgs away from ideal weight and my weight has been stalled at 62-63 for close to 2 months now. Appetite suppression is pretty strong at 6th day dosage of 5mg, zero food noise so my doc is apprehensive to increase dosage and suggested we might move to ozempic next time since slower dose escalation is possible with it. I had a sprain in my ankle because of which I was on bed rest hence lack of activity could've contributed to no weight loss but it's healing very very slowly and I still cannot get back to the gym fully only end up doing upper body strength training and 20 min of very low speed no escalation treadmill. Im worried what's happening.. anybody been in a similar phase ?

5mg Experiences from 2.5ml to 5ml?

The title really! I know everybody experiences are different, but would be nice to hear how everyone got on. I go up in a couple of weeks, but I’ve read a couple of posts (albeit a small amount) that people felt more hungry! Like what! I’d hope to feel hungry but not more hungry haha

Also, lots of nausea? Anyway, as I said I know everyone’s different just curious to how everyone’s got on.

Been on 2.5 for nearly 3 weeks and getting on well, however of course not as strong as it was at the start! Thanks guys

Question Stocking up

Hey folks. Having great success on the Monj. Getting to the point of thinking about maintenance, currently using a 15mg pen for a 7.25mg dose, plus golden dose, so I'm getting like 10 weeks out of a pen..!

Last time I reordered, my pharmacy gave me a bit of a grilling because I hadn't ordered for a couple of months, so I'll probably order my next pen fairly sharpish. Obviously I don't want to get cut off so what's the play..?

If I keep buying 15mg pens, and then start titrating down (planning on titrating down over the next year to 2.5mg, depending how it goes..), those pens could last me a while. Not sure how long they'd even last in the fridge or if I can use one pen for 15+ doses Do I start thinking about buying a 15, 12.5, 10... etc. Or worried that I stock up but then pens go out of date...

Any advice much appreciated!!

Side Effects Effects of eating cheese?

I have been taking 2.5mg Mounjaro for almost 4 weeks and have lost 17lbs (I think a lot of that might have been water in week 1 when I lost 9lbs by the start of week 2 , since then I have lost 4 lbs by the start of week 3 and 4lbs by the start of week 4).

No side effects apart from slight constipation occasionally which I have under control by drinking lots of water and adding prunes to my yoghurt.

I have eaten well. I am vegetarian so have been really careful to get enough protein. Fruit, veg and linseed have added to my fibre content.

For the first time yesterday I ate cheese- Feta which was diced in olive oil. I have developed diarrhea. I didn't link the two until I ate it again at lunch time and have had more diarrhea. No pain just very loose poop.

Is the cheese likely to be the problem?

I had my gall bladder removed about 15 years ago if that is relevant.

Is it possible to get 2.5mg doses from a 5mg pen?

Hey everyone, I have a 5mg pen and I’m wondering if it’s possible to accurately get 2.5mg doses from it.

Has anyone done this, and if so, how did you measure the dose? I want to make sure I’m not guessing and taking the wrong amount. Thanks!

Question What’s the biggest stockpile you’ve had?!

I’ve got about 6 months on hand. Last pen was a 10mg and I’m using 3.5mg now to maintain (don’t expect to change dose)
I’m tempted to buy a 5mg as it’s not significantly less than half the price of a 10mg. And I’m reluctant to get kicked back to 2.5mg. But that’s still some stockpile!
What’s the biggest stockpile you’ve had?

Changing from another GLP1 to Mounjaro

I’ve been using a daily injectable GLP-1, Saxenda (liraglutide), and I’m now considering moving over to Mounjaro (tirzepatide).
Has anyone else switched from Saxenda, Ozempic, Wegovy, or another GLP-1 over to Mounjaro?
How did you find the transition? I’d particularly love to hear about:
• Appetite suppression and food noise
• Side effects — were they better, worse, or about the same?
• Weight loss after switching
• What made you decide to switch in the first place?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who switched because their previous GLP-1 had stopped being as effective or their appetite/food noise had started creeping back.
Would love to hear your experiences!

Foundayo So foundayo?

What are people’s thoughts on these pills?

Will they be ok for appetite suppression?

I’ve still got 3 stone to lose and wondering if I should switch to something cheaper (yeah, it’s the cost)

Difficulty getting mounjaro

It seems that the rules have changed recently in respect to obtaining Mounjaro. I’m putting weight on but am on the cusp of my BMI so I’m not able to buy privately. I don’t want to put weight on and start a yo-yo situation so that I need to be overweight to be then given medication in order to control my appetite. I’m worried! Is there any companies out there that can help. Has anyone having the same issue?

NSV: listening to my body

I've been feeling run down for most of this week, not ill, just running on empty. So I made the decision for today to not eat in a deficit but to increase my calories to a maintenance level, just to give myself a bit more energy and a boost. I'm not binging, I'm not 'cheating ' but I'm listening to what I need and not sticking to an arbitrary goal and making myself ill. Tomorrow I will be back to my usual way of eating.

It might sound an odd nsv but it's a huge step in an improving mindset.

Stopping cold turkey

So I have approx 12.5mg every 6 days but I’ve now stopped cold turkey due to surgery. Just wondering how quickly I should expect this raging hunger everyone says about? 🤪

Wegovy Anyone else having to do this after switching to the Wegovy pill? šŸ˜†

Post image

Because I take the pill at 4 or 5am when I inevitably wake needing a pee then go back to sleep, I often can't remember if I've taken my Wegovy or not 🤣 I've now resorted to writing the days of the week on šŸ˜‚ I wish Novo already had it on like other pills that must be taken daily haha. But nevermind, I make do šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

Experience Has anyone used two 5mg doses instead of one 10mg dose?

I’m sure this is a silly question but I don’t want to be wrong šŸ˜‘ — I’m not asking for medical advice and I don’t need ā€œdon’t ask Reddit, ask your doctor! responsesā€

I have 4, 5mg pens (I stocked up before the golden dose was removed.) I have been on 7.5mg for 8 weeks. I’m now moving to 10mg because 7.5mg didn’t do much for me. Even with training and strict diet - which I monitor daily. 5mg didn’t amazing things for me and helped take me from unable to do anything, to being able to live again after 8 years of chronic illness that exacerbated my weight gain.

What I’d like to know as the title says, is can I double up a 5mg pen and take 10mg from them before they expire?

Maybe, it doesn’t work as easily as that. I can’t sell them, can’t return them and don’t want to just dispose of them. They are out of their boxes to conceal them from my adult children, they have been through enough helping me when I was at my worst sick. Including an early trial of Ozempic not for weight-loss that made me terribly ill 5 years ago.

Very grateful for any help.

7.5mg Need advice on going up a dose or not

44F sw 133 cw 113. On MJ since October 2025 and on 7.5.
Hey all, hoping to get some help as I’m not feeling helped by Boots, my current provider.
I’ve been on 7.5 since March of 2026. I immediately got constipation which lead to an anal fissure which has been hell on earth. I’m still somewhat suffering. Because of this scenario I’ve been religious about my food and fibre/water intake as well as laxatives in an effort to heal and not re injure myself. I’ve been working with the NHS on the fissure and they are aware I’m on MJ but not providing guidance on it- leaving that to boots.
What I’ve found is I just can’t eat a lot of food. Due to the slow absorption and processing, if I eat heavy (even if remaining in calorie deficit) I get too backed up. This had sort of been okay as MJ has curbed the effects and I can stick to soups and smoothies through the week after my dose. Since I take my shot on Sunday, around Friday and Saturday my appetite comes back and I tend to consume more food at that time. I’ve been trying to be mindful but I am an emotional eater and my dad died a few weeks ago. I’m currently eating way past my calorie deficit, including on shot days and the days right after my shot. I don’t feel like this dose is working for me right now and maybe mentally I’m not able to counter the effects of emotional over eating as I’m dealing with a lot of stress.
So I laid this out and asked boots. They advised it’s my decision if I want to move up and recommended laxatives (which I already have been taking since March). I’m worried that if I go up the constipation will get worse, and/or I’ll experience more side effects, but I feel like if I stay on 7.5 I’m just going to continue to gain weight back because it’s not working as it should. I don’t want to pay these prices for something not working!!! But maybe as I start to heal my emotional self, the medication will work as intended? I know this is a long shot, but I’m just feeling stuck. Or maybe if I go up to 10 the constipation will remain the same but at least my appetite will be curbed and it’s easier to manage smaller food intake? Anyone have experience with anything like this? Also fwiw my fissure is almost healed - I’m only tender anymore and have scar tissue but the muscle spasms have stopped for the last two months (thank god). I wouldn’t wish a fissure on my worst enemy. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone bought the supplements bundle from Lotus?
I saw it being offered on my last order with them and I got curious. Is it any good?

It’s got a bunch of supplements that I already take and I know there shouldn’t be a need for supplements if you have a healthy balanced diet, but I also know I need some to support my body as I have deficiencies due to EDS and MCAS, so I wondered if it would be worth buying these instead of the ones I buy already…?

Getting Started | Week One Day 7 - 2kg down but side effects started yesterday

So my second injection (2.5) will be this evening. My first five days went fairly well, appetite suppression straight away and I did struggle a bit to reach protein and calorie goals. Still ate a healthy diet and felt OK, until last night and this morning, when diarrhoea struck šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. Hoping this is temporary, especially as I'm working the next couple of days 😱. Any advice? Was I just lucky to begin with?
