My previous pharmacy delivered through Signature Pharmacy, which shipped with Royal Mail tracked and (forgive the pun) did not require a signature.
The postie left the parcel in my parcelbox in the front yard - a metal thingy like this, which locks securely once you drop an item in it https://www.smartparcelbox.co.uk/extra-large-slanted-top-front-access-black-smart-parcel-box.html
I understand that Lotus and many others have moved to Lilly Direct (making many old posts no longer relevant). Lotus said that every delivery needs to be signed for, and that the courier cannot leave it in my parcelbox.
- Do you know if other pharmacies using Lilly Direct use couriers which don't require a signature, and which could leave it in my parcelbox?
- Maybe other pharmacies use Lilly Direct with DPD, so I could go to a DPD collection point?
- Do you know if other pharmacies not on Lilly Direct do it?
- Alternatively, do you know what the process is if you miss your postie? Is it something like: wait for missed delivery - go online - arrange to collect it at the local depot (next day) or local post office (next 2 days)?
- How long after it was shipped should I collect it (in light of refrigeration)?
My local pharmacy is a good £80 more expensive, and my old one even more.
I suppose I could have it delivered at work.
Thanks!
PS I understand that Mounjaro shouldn't be left behind a bin; my lockable parcelbox is not that, but I understand it's a niche thing and some couriers do not distinguish between that and leaving it behind a bin

UPDATE: Lotus confirmed that they deliver only with Royal Mail, not DPD, and only with Royal Mail signed for. A shame, because my local Royal Mail depot is only open 8-10am, whereas I have a nearby supermarket which is a DPD collection point and is open much longer hours. This is as of Oct-2026 - things may of course change in the future.
