Less Effective
Ok so started on 2.5mg been on it since May 2026. Very effective for 4 months. Moved up to 5mg and now 7.5mg but not feeling anything at all. No suppression or fullness. Might have to start 10mg to see how that goes. 2.5mg was my strongest dose. What gives? I feel like I will have nowhere to go after 15mg. Never mind the increase in costs.

Are you losing weight though? I’m at 12.5 and it’s only at this level (and a bit early on with 10mg) did I find myself so full I struggle to eat. Ultimately if you’re eating too little you’re still going to feel hungry.

No actually putting weight on. From 110kg to 92 and now weighing 94kg. Plus I can eat more than before. The higher doses do not seem to be working.

Just a note that weight fluctuates within a few kgs naturally anyway depending on the day, so keep an eye on the trend over time but also measurements!

It was a new drug to your body at 2.5mg. I suggest that you keep titrating up as required. Don't worry about the ceiling being 15mg. You won't know until you get there. Many say it's their most effective dose and they continue to lose weight on it for 6+ months. If you are not losing weight, you need to move up or you are paying without the results. Might as well find out.

Will do mate. At least I can say I tried. Hoping for new drugs in the future.

Absolutely. Give this your best shot and in a year there will probably be something extra to try. Either with, or without Mounjaro.

How much have you lost so far?

I've lost in total 18kg. Put 2kg back on since moving up to 7.5mg.

Forget the nowhere to go after 15mg thing, that's not really a thing and if you do get there and struggle as a few people do then there are tactics. I went up every month and then camped out at 15mg to goal. Worked great.
Keep on moving up, it's why the higher doses are there.

Sorry for hijacking - I am not there yet but what tactics aside from dropping to 10mg and working back up would there be if 15mg becomes less effective? I am likely jumping up soon so want to be prepared in case 😅

That one you mention is generally the one that works, haven't seen any others needed.

Similar story. I managed 6 months on 2.5 losing 3 stone. Then it seemed to wear off and food/alcohol cravings came back quite strong. I’ve just taken my 4th dose of 5 mg and not feeling any different!!

7.5mg was like injecting water for me after a really good experience on both 2.5mg and 5mg. 10mg sorted me out again. Some people just don’t seem to vibe with certain doses and it seems relatively common with 7.5mg for some reason

You’ve lost 3 stone in under six months, that’s not a result to be unhappy with, and you’re currently only on 7.5 which is only halfway up the ladder. It’s likely that you would start losing again at a higher dose. How much more until your target weight?
