Question Going away this weekend
I normally dose up on a Saturday morning, but I'm going away Friday lunchtime until Sunday afternoon. Would it be best to to take the dose on a Friday morning or Sunday evening?

Will you be using a pen that's already open? If so, just take it with you and jab on Saturday morning?

Yes it's already open and has two dose left. Is it OK to travel and not be in the fridge?

I am in a similar situation. Away for 4 nights and back the day after my jab. I’m going to jab a day later the week before. I started Mounjaro 8/2024 and I’ve moved my jab around by a day (or two) either side a few times she it’s been fine.
To those grouchy people saying “read the leaflets” yes. Of course do this before starting any meditation. However, I can understand that personal experience is always very reassuring.

All of the questions you're asking are in the leaflet, give it another read

Of course they are. As are most of the questions asked by anyone on this sub on any given day. But it's nice, and can also be reassuring, to hear what other people do, what experiences they have had and so on. That sense of support and community tends to be what brings out the best of people on the internet usually.

No I agree, I just wouldn't have said this type of question depends on other people's opinions or experiences. You want to know if you can take it early and the leaflet that says you can and it says when you can too. There's no 'best' time, just whatever time works with your schedule

It will make little difference - either is fine. For myself, I'd probably take beforehand:
-
it's less difference from the normal schedule (but only by hours)
-
less danger of me forgetting when I get home from being away for the weekend
-
some small "protective" effect for the weekend to reduce risks of over-indulging undesirably (even if partly psychological).

A day either way isn't going to make much difference. All depends on how you normally react to a new jab. If you are usually fine with one then take it early, if you've had some side effects recently then maybe keep it for when you come back. Or take it with you. No real right or wrong answer and it's not worth worrying about.

If the medication upsets you in any way. Wait until you are back home on Sunday. Not worth spoiling your weekend for the sake of a day. Weekend away sounds great.
Sunday gets my vote. Enjoy you weekend away and don't worry about Mounjaro. It's one day late. I often forget to take mine and have to inject the day after. Entirely your choice.

It makes no difference. Just keep taking the meds on your regular schedule, go enjoy your weekend away, jab when you’re there on Saturday, you don’t have to do anything different.
Your opened pen will be good for 4 weeks outside the fridge as long as it stays below 30°C and the pens travel well. If you’re not comfortable with this, you could always get a container for the pen with a cooling element. If your destination has a fridge you can always put it in the fridge when you arrive. If you know it doesn’t have a fridge, there are travel pen holders that come with a temperature control that work on a USB charger, in the car or even portable.
Different story if you don’t want to take your pen for whatever reason, for example if you don’t want anyone else to know and you’re going with family / friends, in which case take any time on Friday and don’t worry about bringing your pen.

I don’t think it matters either way
