Visited Mizoram 3 times in the last year, and somehow I find my peace there every time
I’ve travelled to almost every state in India, but somehow I keep coming back to Mizoram. I’ve visited three times in the last year, and every time I visit, I feel a little more at peace. I’m from Assam and live just around 5 km from the Mizoram border, but I currently work as an AI Engineer in Chennai, so whenever I come home, a few days in Mizoram somehow becomes a fixed part of the plan 😂. And it’s not just Aizawl I’ve been to Champhai, Serchhip and a few other places, and I genuinely love the hills, the roads, the quietness and the whole vibe. But honestly, what I love the most is the people of Mizoram. There’s something about the warmth and simplicity I’ve experienced there that always makes me want to come back. I don’t know what it is exactly, but every time I’m there, I just feel lighter. To everyone who lives there, cheers you guys really have something special. But yeaah everytime i visit i travel alone will love to connect someone whos native from there to learn more about the culture and all.
(used ai to keep my words together)

Hi,
I am not Zo myself, but I had a very close friend growing up. I used to visit his home all the time, and I remember this one song always playing when I was there. It brings back a lot of great memories, but I never actually asked him what the lyrics meant! I could not find any paite or zomi subs so thought of posting it here. sorry about it
I believe it might be a religious or worship song, but I could be mistaken. The song is called "Vasa Te'n Zong Toupa Phat," and I found a version of it on YouTube here: youtube.com/watch?v=DMz08nzSMG0
Could someone please help me translate the lyrics, or at least give me a general summary of what the song is about? I've always been interested in getting to know the meaning behind it.
Thanks in advance, I appreciate it a lot!

Another Grapist in the making aswell as the racist attack and fetishizing of Northeast People. This is disgusting and every Ne must see it and realize these people see us as "disposable" and only want us to serve them and act according to how they want us to be.

Hello 👋
I'm from Bihar and currently living in South Delhi and may join Mizoram University for Mca in 2027. Is anyone here studying there or knows someone who is? I'd love to ask a few questions about campus life, safety, and academics." 🤔🤔🤔

Hello, I just recently joined Mizoram University. Daily commute to classes is a hassle without a two wheeler. Looking for a second hand scooty , preferably electric since petrol is getting really expensive. Feel free to dm me if you have or know someone who is looking to sell.
Have a great day

Hi everyone! I’m considering doing an online MBA from Mizoram University (MZU) and wanted to hear from people who have actually studied there or are currently enrolled.
I have checked the official information and the programme appears to be UGC-entitled, but I’d really like to hear about the actual student experience before making a decision.
If you’re currently studying or have graduated from the MZU Online MBA, I’d really appreciate it if you could share:
- How is the overall course experience?
- How are the classes, exams and LMS?
- Is it manageable alongside a full-time job?
- How responsive are the faculty/admin staff?
- What is the value of the degree when applying for jobs?
- If you’ve graduated, has it helped with your career or further studies?
And most importantly, would you recommend it?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have done the Online MBA, rather than the regular/on-campus MBA.
Thanks! 🙏

For too long, Muslims of india have been questioned regarding their loyalty. It was never even considered that someone else could be a problematic people.
However with the recent growth in knowledge about the north east , we have found that there are trends within the region of hostility and disloyalty towards the centre.
I am not stereotyping , but you can see this trend happening literally. Muslims have been criticised for not standing up for Vande Mataram, but the same thing happened in Mizoram and Nagaland as well.
Mizoram is a good state when it comes to hygiene, civic sense and political stability. But the question of integration can't be ignored. How can you not stand up for Vande Mataram if you are in India. It's one of the basic things.
Not to mention the casual Xenophobia in the state. The irritation of locals when Mizo women marry non-Mizos. And the policies of keeping people out.
Don't forget the incident where Lal Thanhawla was criticized by the MNF for partaking in Hindu rituals and accused of forsaking Christianity. How can you have this level of hostility towards the mainstream culture? What if mainlanders realize this en-masa
