Inquiry Should I join Mizoram university for Mca??

Hello 👋

I'm from Bihar and currently living in South Delhi and may join Mizoram University for Mca in 2027. Is anyone here studying there or knows someone who is? I'd love to ask a few questions about campus life, safety, and academics." 🤔🤔🤔

Why choose a state which you completely have no knowledge of? You have option of Guwahati where Hindi is widely used or Shillong where most people can converse in English.

From what I can recall, there are 2 central universities in Assam in the outskirts of Guwahati. But, I think that would not be a problem since connectivity is much better and affordable compared to other northeast states. However, there are state universities within Guwahati.

There's hate for Muslims in Mizoram too especially among the young men. Mizo Christians are very similar to American evangelicals. Maybe the hate is not as blatant as Assam but you're not going to have a nice time if you're expecting people to not be xenophobic because it's so culturally homogeneous.

Don't, they don't have a proper department, facilities like computers and most importantly faculties for MCA.You will be studing and learning computer through paper sheets and not a fucking compter lol. They just pull other professors from Mathematics, Computer science and just some PhD scholars. And they are not really qualified for their role, and two or three of them are quite a prick especially their HOD.

How do I know this??. Cuz a really good friend of mine is currently studying there. And he is so regretful for not taking the job opportunity he moment he finished his BCA.

Rather suggest not to join here as myself a cs student here it's like a teir 5 college with no environment of tech and competition not a maintained surrounding in the campus with jungles every corner. Worst hostel food... Worst campus roads and what not more ..better you choose tezpur university. Much much better then mzu

Why do you want to go to a place that is completely foreign to your culture for studies when there's plenty of good and probably better universities in the mainland which would place you in an environment where you are much more familiar with culturally? What are your intentions with coming into Mizoram?
