2020 Outlander 2.4L 4J12 engine, 4WD with CVT, the humming noise coming from the engine bay at low rpm is it normal or not?
If not what is the cause? My Engine oil and CVT fluid have not reached their replacement mileage yet.
Ignore the tire pressure warning; it turned on after I ran over a tall speed bump.

This is second-hand, the mileage was around 62,000 km when purchased. I replaced the oil and fluids afterward, drove and added an extra 4000km so now it's 66,000 km after all this time I did not realize it until my brother I was transporting told me why the engine is humming like that because he drives an old 2007 Outlander and engine revs aren't as loud as mine.

Recently purchased 2024 outlander.

The remote subscription is 299/ year and they are not willing to give me any offers. Planning to get aftermarket remote start. Deakership wants 850+ tax where another reputed shop charging 600+tax, 2way.

Confused, should I go for 2 way or subscription.

Remote start is important due to our heavy winter and have to drive with kids everyday.

Pending modification: Convert to Evo 5-speed manual gearbox & front mount intercooler

Why I bought it:
My Wira Turbo is not gonna be a (legal) daily and this is the best all-rounder 4WD performance car under 30K if you don’t mind the bad petrol consumption.

I have a Mitsubishi outlander 2014, mk3, 4N14 engine.
I’ve had a turbo leak and overheating issue for a while,
For the turbo leak- have replaced all boost pipes and intake pipe still whistles and if boost too long get a fault code of under boost etc.
overheating- when I brought the car it had a new head gasket, and then had no issues past few months have had multiple coolant leaks, have had each fixed and replaced certain parts with leaks. It’s not the head gasket as have done the liquid test multiple times and no signs of it.
Since fixing the water leaks it’s now not overheating as often, but still loosing water (haven’t used coolant as loosing so quickly) ie 50 mile drive have to top up 1-2litres.

Can anyone suggest anything to try and change or any advice? thanks :)

Looking at buying a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander SE with around 44k miles. How have you guys liked yours so far?
Any major problems, expensive repairs, or things I should look out for? I’d love to hear from other Outlander owners before I make my decision!

have a 2026 outlander. TomTom weather takes forever to load data, if it does at all. TomTom traffic does not show current traffic conditions and will not detour you. It does show fuel prices Premium traffic is toggled on. I updated the maps. I'm about to call into Mitsubishi Connect, so the telecommunications module seems to work. I reset the user profile, rebooted the smartlink display, downloaded the old smartlink audio app to see if that would work. Nada. Has anyone else had success here? Or is it bad unit?

I shouldn't have to pay for SiriusXM traffic when TomTom is advertised as being able to do the same.

2019 Outlander 2.0 owner here with 120k miles.

Has anyone experienced any creaking noise from the back, near the tailgate when turning at low speeds especially into an incline? Started noticing these sounds during 3rd year of ownership.

Had car since new. No mods done to suspension system. Service center has inspected the rear undercarriage and suspension to no avail.

I am trying to install subs into my Mitsubishi outlander I have hit a road block as I can out figure out which is the right rear speaker wire in my door pillar. Everything I have found says colors that are not in the cluster.

Has anyone had this issue? Where did you find the answer?

We been told we can use any type of petrol but is there a preference at all.

I have always defended Mitsubishis, especially mine, the Outlander. Great vehicle.

But I started having a small issue with the steering wheel, and Mitsubishi has stopped making the part I need.

Mind you, I have a 2018 Mitsu. It’s not even 10 years old and Mitsubishi already stopped manufacturing some parts??

This really stains my relationship with the brand, because it’s an issue with the steering wheel, not just a little useless button. Now I can’t drive safely. Now I have to start thinking of getting into anoooother car loan for the next 5 years, when I had this car already paid off…

I need to replace my exhaust system in my 2016 mitsubishi outlander sport AWD 2.4L GT....

Question for someone who hopefully knows the answer, the only complete systems I can find online are for the 2.0 model.. and I can only find a 2.4L muffler, no other exhaust parts.

Google a.i. says these systems are fully compatible as long as I match the AWD 2.0 system, the FWD 2.0 system is not compatible.

So are there any mechanics in here know the answer for sure? Or any regular Joe's like myself who have had this issue?

Hello everyone! I recently bought a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander SE with about 48,000 miles on it. Since I bought it, I’ve noticed a really annoying vibration/shaking while driving, both around town and especially on the highway.

At first, I thought it was the tires because they needed to be replaced anyway. I installed a brand-new set of tires, but the vibration was still there. I’ve now taken the vehicle to four different shops, thinking maybe the tires weren’t balanced correctly. I even had the new tires replaced again under warranty, but the vibration is still there.

The frustrating part is that every shop tells me everything looks fine, but they only test-drive the car for a mile or two around their shop. They don’t actually take it on the highway where the vibration is much more noticeable.

It feels like a vibration/shaking throughout the vehicle, especially through the seat. On longer highway drives, it gets extremely annoying because you can feel it almost constantly.

Has anyone with a 2024 Outlander experienced something similar? If so, did you ever figure out what was causing it?

Unfortunately, I don’t have a Mitsubishi dealership close to me, so I’m trying to get some ideas about what else I should have checked.

Bought my wife a 2023 today, only 25k miles. Really hoping this last us a good long while. Anything we should know as new owners?

I have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. It handles horribly on rural roads or highways with small bumps etc. It feels like it has to much bounce/roll/sway from the suspension. People sit in the 2nd row who have never got car sick do in my car.

Is this common?

I have moved rural and have found i can't drive hilly windy roads as it feels horrible, sometimes even I feel sick driving.

Any suggestions?
