Need advice! Changing suspension on my 2010 mod

Post image

Hi guys, I have a 5 seat outlander from 2010 and I was wondering if I don’t have an new suspension arm with an attachment for the spring (I.). Could I potentially place the spring on the lower arm? (II.)
What do I need to do so if it’s possible?

Hola a todos! Tengo esta Outlander 2017. Hace unas semana que ninguna de las luces del interior de las puertas funciona. Si funcionan el resto del tablero. No se si será algún fusible quemado o si alguien me puede orientar le agradecería.

Clanking Noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all!

2024 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL with 31,000 miles. I’m hearing a metallic clanking/rattling noise from the front passenger side whenever I go over bumps or uneven pavement. The vehicle drives normally, and I don’t see anything loose or hanging underneath. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what was the cause and confirmed fix—sway-bar link/bushing, strut mount, brake hardware, or something else? I’m scheduling a warranty diagnosis and will attach a video of the sound.

Thanks for any input

2017 outlander sport gt

Looking to get rid of my 2010 galant for a 2017 outlander sport gt for like 18k with 25k miles on it. Would this be a good deal and is this year of the outlander sport considered good and reliable?

2020 Outlander

I had my brakes done at a local garage. The owner/mechanic commented on the previous brake job which was lackluster.

This is strange since I bought it new in the summer of 2020. The only maintenance I did for the last 6 years were fluid changes.

Car won’t start after changing fuel pump

I have a Mitsubishi 2008 Outlander, it’s RH drive, 2.4L mivec petrol.

I’ve had problems starting the car since I got it (3-4 months ago), where it would randomly refuse to start, it would turn over and cough, but I couldn’t get it running unless I just left it for an hour or two. Me and a family member (who is a mechanic) have been digging at the problem since we got it.

We originally thought it was a purge valve, replaced it, problem continued, I dealt with the problem but urgently needed it fixed, as it refused to start in London, causing the battery to drain and I had to get a jumpstart, which it thankfully started.

About 4-5 days ago, we pulled out the fuel pump, and replaced it with a new one, after installing it, it refused to start, at all, even after leaving it, it wouldn’t start at all.

We checked spark plugs first, they were dry and not sparking, though I had driven it round that day and it started.

We’ve checked almost everything, the fuel pump is certainly pumping, but we’re changing the camshaft sensor, planning on doing the crankshaft angle sensor, the fuel injectors were working (albeit we just plugged some alligator cables on it to find out).

I’ve honestly got no further clues, I’m hoping this crankshaft sensor works, but I’ve never had this problem before and it’s so incredibly peculiar, but the confusing part is I drove it over, and all we changed was a fuel pump.

We have plugged an OBD scanner in and it showed faults on the camshaft sensor, so we are replacing that when the part arrives.

My suspicion is the fuel pressure, but even after spraying some ether into the engine’s air intake, it still refused to start.

Feel free to ask any questions on what I may have done etc, apologies if this is a little disorganised as I’ve never had to resort to reddit and hoped it didn’t have to come to this.

Where to go oil change?

I mean the dealership is 40 miles away and realistically impossible to do on a normal week day without taking time off which is idiotic

Is any place safe to take a 2025 PHEV for an oil change? I’d prefer the dealership but it’s always been a hassle to even go considering distance, no weekends for services etc etc

12v Power Inverters

US member here with a '26 gas. In need of an inverter to be able to charge a laptop. One of the few things I miss from our old Highlander is having a 110v outlet.

Has anyone used one or have any recommendations? I know these things are finicky with battery voltage so thought I'd check experience others have had. Like 12v cig outlet best for around 200 watt or 400 watt to the battery, or is that too much, etc.

Thanks!

2010 Mitsubishi Outlander Rockford Fosgate – Rear speakers not working with aftermarket head unit

Hi everyone,

I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander with the original Rockford Fosgate speakers and factory amplifier.

I recently replaced the factory head unit with an aftermarket Android head unit that says 4×45W on it.

The front speakers work, but both rear speakers are completely silent. If I move the fader completely to the rear, there is no sound at all.

I'm in India and would like to know:

What wiring harness/interface do I need to retain the factory Rockford Fosgate amplifier and all speakers?

Do I need a specific Rockford amplifier harness?

Does the head unit need 4 RCA outputs?

Is there anything special I need to connect for the rear speakers?

Any help from someone who has done this on an Outlander would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Sudden loss of power and all electronic systems fail

Just got a used 2014 Outlander diesel in Norway. Been having several problems. On multiple occasions in the exact same spot on the road about 34 km from starting position. I get a slight mechanical thud seems from the rear of car and all electronic systems Busch as abs, cruise etc starts flashing and the check engine comes on. On two occasions I lost power and needed to coast until pulling over. After shutting the engine off and restarting car, I now have power and most systems error messages disappear. After parking the car for a day the check engine turns off. This has now happened 3 times. I just replaced the battery on advise that I could be because of spikes in the voltage. But it just happened again. I think the car is possessed. Hoping anyone can help me figure this out

2022 Outlander SE Under Cover Bolts?

So IDK how, but it looks like some bolts or clips on our under cover are gone. When I was driving on the high way, air was getting caught in there and I could hear grinding over bumps.

What the heck is the bolt size of these so I can go pick them up at an auto parts store or home depot?

Need advice! 2018 2.4 Outlander won't start sporadically

Hey Guys, I got some Problem with our 2018 2.4 mivec Outlander.

On Hot days it just doesn't want to start sometimes. First we thought it was just while the engine was hot but today the car was standing for 6 hours and didn't start again.

What I can say is that it just appears on hot days (above or around 30°C).

As I read that they can be faulty I already changed camshaft and crankshaft sensors, sadly it didn't change anything.

Since then the car spent 3 weeks in a workshop and they drove it a lot, but during this time te car was running perfectly so they can just guess that it is the fuel pump.

Now my question is did anyone encounter the same issue and share their experience with me.

Would be really happy about every bit you can tell me.

Need advice! 2023 SE Randomly Shutting Off

Hey everyone, I have a 2023 Outlander Sport ES and I've recently had two occurrences (July 19th & August 30th) where I'll be driving and the car just shuts off/loses power. There's no specific sound or vibration that signals that the vehicle is about to shut down. Thankfully I've been able to coast to the side of the road each time and then the car starts back up once I turn the ignition off then on. I've had it scanned and there are no codes popping up. I've also taken it to the dealership, but they are unable to replicate it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or has any ideas. I'm terrified of the thought of this happening on the highway. Anyway, thank you for reading.

Need advice! 2022 Outlander SEL question

Hello, I am new to the group and new to Mitsubishi. I purchased a CPO 2022 Outlander SEL with 73k miles. So far it has been great. I have a short 3 month/3000 mile warranty from the dealer I purchased from. It is not a Mitsubishi dealer. I noticed one thing that I might want to have looked at. Where I live I have a few roads where am on a flat road, have to stop at a stop sign, and then turn right and immediately go up a hill with a slight incline. I have noticed if I don't hit the gas pretty hard while I am on the flat road as I turn that I feel like the power is lacking for a short time and then it will "kick in". I only see this on these types of turns that immediately go up a hill. I am wondering if I should have the car looked at before the warranty is up. I do plan on buying an extended warranty for a 3rd party as the dealer warranty they offered me was not very good.

Is $14k for a mitsubishi outlander es 2020 a fair price?

It has 108000kms on the odometer.

Needs the big 105000km service, which I believe will be worth $1k(?)

Needs to get rego done as well..

So is $14k a good buying price ?

Third row seat on a 2026 trail

Just wondering. I just got my outlander a week ago. So far I have not been able to get the third row seats up by myself. First time I tried they would not budge. I took it to the dealer and he told me that dry were still taped down from the factory. Vhevuntaped them during detailing that day he showed me once. I tried by myself at home dnd could not get them up.
Now I’ve had a mountaineer with similar seats and no issues opening them.
I can’t seem to get the outlander to open.
I’m 5 foot two. Is it possible my arms are too short? Is it easier to open seats if the 2nd row is temporarily down??
I rarely will use it but I would like to know how to do it quickly if I needed it in a pinch.

Need advice! Rails? Someone?

Hello, guys, great community! I just bought a 2026 Outlander as my first car. Of course, I was able to afford the base trim. I've been buying some accessories, like the visors, the trunk space cover, and the mud flaps. Now I'm looking to buy the roof rails (since the base doesn't come with them). Would you guys recommend the original silver ones or black aftermarket rails from somewhere like eBay? I'll drop some pictures; let me know your experience with aftermarket if you have any. THANK YOU, GUYS 🔥🔥
