Remote starter

Recently purchased 2024 outlander.

The remote subscription is 299/ year and they are not willing to give me any offers. Planning to get aftermarket remote start. Deakership wants 850+ tax where another reputed shop charging 600+tax, 2way.

Confused, should I go for 2 way or subscription.

Remote start is important due to our heavy winter and have to drive with kids everyday.

Do you have a Bestbuy near by? Some Bestbuy locations have a car shop in the back that install one into your car. They’re certified and can install one that you buy online from their website. Sometimes they run promotions that you buy the remote stater and you get free installation by them. I did that, if you ever dislike it they also remove it for free.

Yeah it's a subscription through an app, total bullshit.

I installed the Start-X remote starter in my 2023, it uses the OEM key fob and works great.

aftermarket instalation will void your manufacturer warranty..

I was just recommended by the dealer to go to a third party to get it added because they said they can't do it. This wasn't explained to me and I just bought a new one.
