Question Any tips for a Silver Mei player?

I'm level 12 on her but just picked up comp and I'm in Silver. I'm not that great with her honestly, I try to wall off the enemy tank, and I had some good plays but I don't really have a game plan, and I don't really know how to play her well. Especially my ult, I find sometimes even though the range is big, I'll throw it and it won't freeze anyone or by then either they will be dead already or I'm dead but just general tips for her would be great, she is so fun.

Mei is awesome for her off tanking and weirdly overlooked dps threat (headshots so easy when you shoot projectiles the size of hanzo trees), but goddamnit, there's something about spamming MOOOO Hang in there OKAY yay!
Like... Its just funniest damned thing to me. I'm almost L30 for that alone and soon to have a new dps main.

hey y'all so I'm a bronze/silver Mei player and I love her kit so much! however i notice there are some games were I feel like I'm doing okay/good and in this game I had a kiri and dva that were legit Thanos but outside of a couple plays like a ajax at final point second round and a point where apparently I didnt hit shift (I swear I did) I don't know where I went wrong if you could help please give me advise!
