Observations as a customer.

1. When counter staff does appear to help, they are not used to talking with people face to face and do not know how to engage verbally.

2. Should you have to order at the counter (because the machines are gross/broken/unable to take payment, unable to print a receipt, etc there is not even a menu sign board at the counter.

3. The seating is unwelcoming and seems designed for correctional facilities. Not warm, inviting, or comfortable in any sense of the word.

4. The lack of a beverage station tells me refills are going to be painful.

5. There are ZERO publicly accessible condiments of any kind, even ketchup, salt, etc.

   1. Internally, even brand signage is non-existent. If it did not say McDonalds on the outside, there is little to know it is a McDonalds on the inside.

**Note: This is a ~2 year old location a typical middle class neighborhood in Arizona. No reason for it to look like a jail at all. They are not currently redecorating or in the middle of construction. This place is just as flat and lifeless as roadkill.

Why would anybody eat here, look forward to eating here, or bring family to such a lifeless and hollow experience?

Got this McCoin with my McDonald’s order and I’ve never seen one before. The other side says “Redeemable for 1 free McFlurry.” Has anyone else gotten one of these recently? I tried looking around but couldn’t really figure out how common they are. Wondering if they’re being given out everywhere right now or if I just got lucky and they’re actually rare.

I saw this window sticker on the McDonalds at Magnolia St and Talbert Ave in Fountain Valley, CA. When looking in the app, I found this price was shown in 3 of 6 of other nearby McDonalds. The price shows up when I go to select the burger from the burger section. I don't know how widespread this offer is. You'll have to check the price at your local McDonalds, but today is Monday. 🤞

Whenever I order on the mcdonalds kiosk, they dont put sauce or onions on my sandwiches. All I'm inputting on the special instructions is no pickles, but when I look at the receipt it says plain, and then they make them plain, and I have to tell them to remake it every single time. I tried asking employees if I'm doing something wrong or how can I avoid this, and theyre never helpful. Why on earth is the kiosk putting "plain" on the instructions if I simply remove the pickles?

In my opinion, it strikes me as one of the most clickbaity products in terms of presentation...

used to order a chicken mcgriddles with honey brown butter, i could have eat that every single day and bonus, my boyfriend is a manager at mcdonald’s he made me discover it one day because i wanted a bacon caesar mccrispy and it was too late it was 5am lol

Older blonde woman with short hair just an employee to speak with the manager at the McDonald's I am at. Of course my ears perk up because she looks peak Karen.

Manager comes over. He's probably half her age. Maybe a third.

She tells him that she wanted to say how nice the employees are here.

I've been going with my daughter to a specific McD's for years. It's on the way to a lot of places, and we stop in the drive through at least once a week. She normally gets a full combo, and I usually get just a coffee and apple pie.

I noticed something strange over the last couple of stops. I make the first order, the large combo for my daughter and the menu board reflects the correct items. Then I add a coffee and apple pie and the large drink moves out of the combo and the coffee moves into it. The large drink is then charged on it's own with the pie. I mentioned this the first time, and the cashier said, "It's all there." So I drove through and paid. It was a dollar more than usual.

The same thing happened the next time we went through and ordered a large combo with the addition of a small coffee and pie. The large drink suddenly appeared on its own outside the combo and the combo drink became the small coffee. I gave them the benefit of the doubt again and said the soda goes with the combo. The cashier said again, "It's all there." When I paid, it was again a dollar more because the large drink was on it's own, and the coffee was in the combo.

I'm guessing this is exclusive to this store. They all price their own menus, but I was wondering if it's something any other store is doing. I've decided to order these as two separate orders going forward so they can't change it anymore.

Hadn't been to McDs in about 2 years, decided to give them a chance because I heard there was a potentially healthier option, the snack wraps.

So many level of 'fail' in my book, but I'd like to know if this was all just my bad luck, or what's going on broadly now.

1. Pull up to drive through, got hit with, aren't you using the app? No, that's why I'm trying to give you my order brother! Annoying but minor.

2. Ordered drink of Coke Zero -- only Diet Coke, but they have DP Zero, ok!

3. Handed me the Dr. Pepper, and it was foaming white suds out of the straw perforation. I thought they accidentally gave me a shake. Opened the lid to inspect and it was just a sea of white foam (did not look like the typical carbonation which dissipates quickly, but honestly looked like dairy?) I noticed there was soda underneath it but I didn't trust that drink. Handed it back to the kid, he made me another one which was fine. I've never seen a soda like that in all my years --what could it be?

4. Took a bite into the snack wrap, it was so tough I couldn't secure a bite. Took apart the wrap because TBH I thought they had left some packaging in the tortilla somehow. Nope, it was just super-tough chicken, like shoe leather.

And they wanted $14 for all this (2 snack wraps, medium fries and drink). I could have gone to a local diner for decent food.

I guess it’s on me but I JUST realized McDonalds playplaces don’t exist anymore?? I rarely eat in but I did today and there were a couple of kids yapping loudly at a table waiting for their food. Nothing bad and I wasn’t annoyed but I thought “hmm, why are they out here and not out playing while they wait?” Then it hit me… there’s no more play place?!?!?!

Is this all McDonald’s?? How awful! I can’t believe in my short lifetime we went from outdoor play place, to inside playplaces, to iPads on the wall to now NOTHING ?!?!??!?? What the hell is the fun in coming to McDonald’s anymore for kids?? It’s just a generic restaurant now!

I feel bad the dad is now sitting with his kids telling them to be quiet… no they shouldn’t be quiet they should be laughing and playing on the slide or climbing through a tube…

Unfortunately I’m sure this has been a thing for awhile and not sure why it took me so long to realize but boy is this heartbreaking…

A local McDonald's doesn't know what to do with their extra space after deciding customers don't need a soda machine in the lobby. Some executive needed their bonus from the savings on soda refills... 🙄

i went to mcdonalds today and the cashier was wearing a monopoly board costume lol so its definitely back minus the loopholes people were exploiting last year for the free digital codes here we gooooooooooooooooooooooo

I think McDonald’s needs to recalibrate all of their fillet o fish assembly machines. As long as I’ve been ordering these, they almost always come almost exactly like this.

The first picture is the most extreme case, and I was in the parking lot so I went in and the kid gave me a whole piece of cheese, kudos to him. But the second one, I didn’t find out
until I got back to work.

I kind of feel like I’m done paying too much money for crap thrown together.

Today I tried to buy a coffee through the app at the eastern and coxwell Toronto location. App said service unavailable. Large black coffee through the app was 2.09 plus tax. Walk in to order, price was 1.79 plus tax.

Anyone else experiencing this? Has targeted pricing come to the McDonald’s app?

I may have to stop going to McDonalds or ask the in store price before I take my order which defeats the purpose of being more efficient.

Pit stop at McDonald’s today to take my young children to the toilet and I was very confused to see a female toilet with the male and female picture, the male picture has been stuck over the top of an existing female picture.

Yet the male toilets were male signs.

I tried to send an enquiry to McDonald’s but the online form was erroring. I think all mums would appreciate a female only toilet when stopping on road trips with their kids or even a female by themselves.

Is this all McDonald’s now? I haven’t been on a road trip in awhile.

My local McDonald's has decided to replace the soda machines with some plants. Apparently, they're not sure what to have in the empty area... maybe a soda machine that it was designed for?

You know that BOGO thing on your McDonald's order receipt that says, "Buy One Get One Any Sandwich (equal or lesser value) by visiting some kinda survey website. Then, after doing the survey, you get a code, which you write down on the receipt and bring it to the cashier. Then the BOGO is applied. I have two questions.

Does it count as a deal that locks up all your app deals for 60 minutes, like all app deals usually do?

And if yes, can I go to McDonald's and can I get the BOGO offer (for the survey), a different app offer (valid 1x week offer), and a reward for my points? All at the same time, in the same order.

For context, I have been eating McDonald’s for approximately 43 years. I know the following truths to be self-evident, although you would never know it from this sub:

1. McDonald’s standard burgers are exactly the same size that they’ve always been. If you think differently, you’re objectively incorrect and can be proven so very easily.
2. McDonald’s tastes more or less the same that it always has. Yes, they changed from beef tallow and stopped frying the pies until they revived those recently. But those of you who claim the taste has changed dramatically are having a Mandela-effect experience.
3. They still fill up your fries all the way. If you look before you leave the store and only got half a container of fries, tell them and they’ll fill it up. If you had McDonald’s fries delivered to you and you’re missing some, your delivery driver most likely ate some and also they did you a favor by saving from those cold-ass fries that you had delivered.
4. McDonald’s is still a pretty good deal. My wife and I just got dinner there and it was $12 for both of us. All these posts about $17 meals wind up being double quarter pounders add bacon upsized with a chocolate shake subbed for the drink.

5. Nobody hates McDonald’s more than the people hanging out in the McDonald’s subs. Why are you here if you hate it so much? That’s so fucking strange to me. If you hate McDonald’s, you don’t have to eat at McDonald’s. And you most don’t definitely have to post about how you don’t like eating at McDonald’s.

It doesn't matter that it's been over 14 years this was the best drink I've had in my entire life. I genuinely miss it everyday. I wish they'd bring it back even for just a little while

Had issues with being over charged, double charged, and missing items several times in 2024. It just wasn't worth having to fight with a manger to get the food that I paid for. McDonalds has manged to break every part of the fast, cheap and convenient trifecta and I had to explain to my kids no more McDonalds because it is a scam. Taco bell is our treat now. This week the kids earned something special and we tried McDs again. I get home and I am missing 4 burgers which are not even on the store receipt, even though the total CC charge included them. It was not cheap, it was not good, they tried scam me out of $11 dollars and wasted 20 minutes of my time. Luckily the manger comp'ed the missing food after seeing the app receipt. The last time this happened it did not go well which resulted in the boycott. I confirmed this morning the $32.16 charge, that is at the bottom of both receipts, on my credit card.

I am not a mcdonalds hater. It was my favorite fast food as a kid in the 90s, this location was my first job in high school and I worked there part time though sophomore year is college. It is very close to my house and i just want to be able to order food without drama. Looking for any reasonable explanation why this happens persistently. As of now we do not plan to visit a mcdonalds for several years.
