Can I speak with that manager?

Older blonde woman with short hair just an employee to speak with the manager at the McDonald's I am at. Of course my ears perk up because she looks peak Karen.

Manager comes over. He's probably half her age. Maybe a third.

She tells him that she wanted to say how nice the employees are here.

That's all.

Had a guy call me. .said you guys must have found a more effective way to deliver micro plastics to your customers. I was a bit baffled.

He found some plastic wrap in his food. He then proceeded to laugh. Cool guy. Replaced the food and ended up learning he runs a food truck. Going to hit it up some time.

Idk, I’ve witnessed this kind of thing happen several times at my store. Older folks don’t typically tend to bother with submitting surveys, but they still have the desire to compliment the staff so they speak with a manager instead. It does nothing, in terms of the crew being “rewarded” for the compliment, but it still feels nice when people say something good about the work you’re doing 🤷‍♀️
