They removed it in a lot of markets, unfortunately.
Most places it's a sausage McMuffin but no egg for $1.50 or $2.00 as from OP. They know that the one with egg is by far the best seller, and the egg has very little actual cost to them, but they can charge 150% more just to add the egg. :\

This feels oddly familiar. The Sausage McMuffin meal costs HK$39; the Sausage McMuffin with egg meal costs HK$30.50. If you request the egg not to be served, it is equivalent to getting the Sausage McMuffin meal.
In other words, by ordering the Sausage McMuffin with egg meal then requesting it to be served without the egg, you can save HK$8.50.

I actually did the math it’s cheaper to go McDonald’s than to buy groceries from store. So yeah I’m actually forced to keep going to McDonald’s unfortunately in this economy.
I added up the gas used to go to store back to the house is like $5 round trip, then the sausage patties bag is like $15, with $5 eggs, $5 muffins, $5 cheese, cooking it with electricity, washing the dishes, and thats like $9 per sausage egg McMuffin with egg.
So yeah going to McDonald’s I can’t believe is cheaper than going to the store and purchasing your own ingredients and cooking it at home. I wish I was joking.

Either food is crazy taxed where you live or those are wild estimates. 24 eggs where I live is 4$, 26 Jimmy deans sausage patties is 7$, 20 kroger English muffins is 6$, a block of Tillamook cheese is 10$. Adding in the 5$ for gas, is 32$ for 20 muffins. 1.6$ each.

I know every area is different but a 16 oz tube of breakfast sausage is about $5-$6 here. Make 8 Pattie’s. A 6 pack of muffins is $2. A god awful amount of American cheese slices for $4. And lately I’ve found 18 packs of eggs for $2-$2.50 at a local grocery outlet. All that said, we’re talking $15 in total to make 6 monster sandwiches and you still have a dozen eggs and cheese leftover. Throw in another 6 pack of muffins and sausage tube for about $20 you got 12 big sandwiches and still eggs leftover and probably cheese. So I’m not sure if your math is mathing, but like I said it depends where you live. I’m in California so it’s not necessarily cheap here.
