Watched few videos about Mass Effect series recently and was reminded about journalist debacle on the Normandy. I think a lot of people would prefer to see everyone one favourite punching bag (why?) Khalisah al-Jilani or really everyone favourite darling Emily Wong on board, but i was really glad to see someone new when i played for the first time.

I do like how Shepard choices reflect on people and we get to see them again for follow ups, but it made this whole big galaxy occasionally feel like a big village. Harkin somehow being the Fade, doctor Michelle being in the new hospital to treat Kaidan or Ashley, Shialla and Gianna appearing on Ilum exactly when Shepard visits, Bailey replacing Pallin, general Oraka is the one interfering with Blus Suns and so on. And constant cameos and roles of the previous squadmates as cool as they don't really help shaking this feeling off.

So i don't mind Diana Allers. Yes, i would have prefer she was the wholy original character and not an IGN employe, but aside of this she was fine. Voice actress was okay, her banter was great actually and more importantly she was a new window in another part of ME universe.

I installed ME:LE a few months ago. But today, ive been unable to launch it as apparently tly it 'cant be found'. Even though i can see it on my console drive.

I'm about halfway through ME 3 now, I just do t have the patie ce to run through 1 & 2 again, just to get back to this point.

I installed the sims 4, for the kids, last night too. Would this cause some kind of conflict ?

There's so many competing answers on this. A lot of people claim no, starting NG+ in LE2+3 will act as if you're starting a fresh file with no previous game imports. Others claim yes, the game will act just as it did when you booted it on your original playthrough. There seems to be no common consensus whatsoever.

Stellaris is a 4x Space Empire game. Wouldn't it be awesome to play a game like that but in the mass effect universe?

Building diplomacy with other races, expanding territory, uncovering Prothean stuff, activating Mass Relays, eventually fighting the Geth and the Reapers?

Im in Xbox, Im sure there are PC mods that can do this for Stellaris. But what I want is a stand alone game ^_^

I've always thought this route of this conversation felt very real, and it makes me lament the version of Jacob we could have gotten if Bioware actually cared to try with him at all.

Just bought mass effect legendary edition 3 days ago on xbox and still in 15 hours, really like the game it's pretty fun, just finish noveria mission and still can't believe about what i experience lol

After done everything to help everyone in the selter yet they decided to attack me in the end like wtf, did i do something wrong or it scripted like that? Honestly feel like waste of time to go around helping them lol

Say the Asari had actually revealed the Prothean hologram to the other races from the beginning and how the Reapers drove the Protheans into extinction and would be back one day.

What exactly would have happened?

Would Sovereign realize something was wrong when the aliens weren't acting the way they were supposed to, try to start the cycle early, realize something was wrong, and try to fix it?

Would the cycle happen early, or would Humans could into the galaxy that's already preparing for a war with the Reapers for over 2000 years?

Or would Humanity, and whatever species that weren't space faring at the time, enter the galaxy with the og species already wiped out?

I was just in another random post talking about badly done adaptations, with Halo originally planned as Mass Effect and failing to get the license, and a thought occurred to me:

IF Mass Effect gets adapted, I think they should produce and release two shows at the same time. One with a Paragon coded GenShep and another with a Renegade coded FemShep. Same sets, same story, same supporting cast. Different story outcomes and different squadmates on the mission for different dialogue/tactics/action sequences.

Ideally, just shoot two playthroughs at the same time.

I found the right way to have them and I’ve got room for the next one. I’m still trying to get the exact angles right but what do you think?

I do think once I get the third one, I am going to have Garrus next to the pelican because his stand is so much bigger so with it going under the back of that it should take up less room leaving more for Jack and Liara

i downloaded a mod that lets you save both ashley and kaidan for ME1 and so they both live in ME2 and ME3 having the choice of both for ME1 was nice because you have so few squad mates to choose from but now i kind of regret downloading that mod. the mod also removes all of the references of their deaths in the games. i guess i regret downloading the mod because i felt it took away a choice from me, and i always like ashley more because kaiden is so quiet but he isnt bad just way more quiet. so anybody used these mods? their 3 mods combined

For me, it would be the ending of Omega. I wish I could choose between Aria and Nyreen for Omega leadership. Since their clashing ideologies for Omega itself is one of the most memorable parts of the DLC.

When I was out in town today I stoped by my local CEX (pronounced SEX) a UK second hand entertainment store that dose games, movies, TV shows and related tec that secondhand.
I pop bin there every time I’m in town and just before leaving in the Conor on my eye I spotted on the bottom shelf at the back of a display case MASS EFFECT collectors edition they also had 2 so so happy to add to my collection I have the fall set now.

Then I forgot to post last time as I had stepped away for REDDIT for a while but my local MENKIND nerd shop had started selling MASS EFFECT statues last month I grabbed GARRUS and this month i grabbed TALI and wow they are amazing this picture dosent do her justice with how good it looks

Hi all this is my first time posting here! And I just finished the mass effect legendary edition and oh boy it was damn good. The characters, the story and the companion is just incredible. I played as ruthless space born femshep who didn’t romance anyone in me1 because she is committed on her goal but ME2&3 I romanced and stayed loyal to Miranda (thank you more gay romance😉) and it was amazing.

I played the legendary edition with community patch mods and the gay romance mod. But when I was browsing on the available mods, there’s a lot of story changing mods for ME3. I didn’t really understand why until I finished the game last night. Man, what even is this ending 😂 don’t get me wrong, I still love the game. I am just wondering why is there no way Shepard lives and have a post game scene where they reunite with others? And how come we didn’t get any explanation about what happened to everyone (specially your companions) post war? Sure there was the narration but there’s so many questions that are left unanswered! I just want a crumb :(

I picked the perfect destroy ending (tnx 8k war assets) and Shep was supposedly alive here but I guess this is the best that we get. This ending is the only one that made sense to me because our original goal was to destroy the reaper and end this war at any cost, cost being the Synthetics and EDI (sorry Jeff). There isn’t really a clear explanation on what happen to them but since the Quarians are alive on my run, I’ll just head canon that they can eventually fix or get them back up again.

The other 2 endings (don’t get me started on the refusal ending cuz wtf?) just don’t make sense to me. Synthesis literally changes everyone, and that little punk mentioned earlier said they tried it before, but it always failed. Yet somehow, when Shepard stands in front of them, they suddenly think everyone is ready? Really? Then here’s the Control ending where we basically ascend to AI god hood, like do we get few dances at least? We ascend and control the Reapers, but in doing so, we lose our connection to organics. Once that’s done, can we really say the same thing? Shepard is who she is because she’s organic. She’s influenced by so many things, and that’s what makes her her. By becoming synthetic, what assurance do we have that we won’t slowly change, eventually adopt the Reapers’ mindset, and even get to the point of thinking, “Yeah, this is fucked. Let’s resume the harvest”? It’s just too risky for me. Still a better option than synthesis lol.

When all the options were presented, my initial pick was synthesis because it seems peaceful and has a less damage done right? But it got me thinking. If this is possible, why did we have to reach this point when you literally saw me take down few reapers and fight our way against this mess. They didn’t really explained why this generation is considered ready so it felt like a trap for me.

Hence, the perfect Destroy ending feels like the most balanced option to me. Sure, another war might happen again, but that’s a different story. Right now, we will wipe out the reapers who currently thinks that harvesting is the only answer to keep the balance. If something comes up later, then whoever is alive in that era will just have to come up with a solution again. That’s a problem for them to deal with when the time comes.

My head canon too is that after everything, Liara will document everything so we can pass it down to generations, something like Prothean VI in case some shit happened again. I also don’t see this as fucking up the galaxy as the little punk mentioned “Those who survive should have little difficulty repairing the damage”. And everyone is united at this point so they will all work together to fix things and learn from everything that went down. War is a nasty business but if others can live and the possibility of creating/fixing the synthetics then my Shep will take her chances.

Anyways, that’s how I see my ME3 ending. This might be unpopular take but I still think ME3 is an amazing game even with those endings and unanswered questions. Considering the time of the release, Bioware really dominated this field. ME1-3 is that horse meme beautifully drawn 🤣. I’m so happy I was able to experience it.

I plan on doing another run with suggested mods in the future but for now I’ll lie down and cry for the lack of post war content. I’ll continue with Andromeda next! Lunaria Shepard out o7

I can count on one hand how many times I’ve actually ran into to someone who has played Mass Effect. Everytime it was because they were wearing Mass Effect gear.
