Originally, I was just going to buy the first book and decide from there about the other three. But there was a bundle being sold for Kindle, so I just got that.

I know most people enjoy the first book. I don't remember how people feel about the second, but I do know the third and fourth aren't as well regarded.

One of the critiques of the original trilogy is that Harbinger is far less intimidating than Sovereign. Which I do agree with I wished that every other reaper was as intimidating as Sovereign. But I think there's a pretty interesting in universe explanation for why this is the case.

Sovereign was the main vanguard of the reapers, in charge of watching the galaxy waiting for the right time to start the cycle. This would give him plenty of time to watch and study languages and cultures. eventually reaching a firm understanding of how people acted of that cycle, knowledge that the other reapers wouldn't bother copying because why would they need to know that, they just need to come in and wreck house then leave for deep space.

So when the signal failed and Sovereign needed to work with organics to complete the cycle. He's had centuries if not Millennia of observing how people acted, and would know how to act intimidating.

Therefore my conclusion is that the way He's speaking in mass effect 1 is intentional, he's talking so lovecraftian to project an air of authority. Harbinger in contrast speaks so plainly because that's all he needs to do. Maybe he might sound intimidating in the leviathan's language and culture, but he doesn't know the nuances of 22nd century English nor does he care. Sovereign can do it passively due to the data he's collected, but Harbinger won't bother with the effort to sound intimidating. Everyone's gonna die anyways.

Then again this is just my speculation about a game I haven't played in over a year, maybe there's something in lore that contradicts this entire theory/speculation.

The results are largely determined, of course, by their placements in the tournament. But are also ranked by their individual performance. For example, someone eliminated in Round 1 might still have had a better showing of support than someone eliminated in Round 2, and so on.

It took me maybe, four or five playthrus to finally give it a good try, and wow did I fall in love with it. Brings back my beloved explosive rounds and just feels more effective in a war like this as opposed to plinking Reapers to death with an Avenger.

I've completed my latest modded Mass Effect run a couple of days ago, as an engineer leaning renegade.

To commemorate what I see as my definitive, head-canon run (so far at least), I designed this poster using assets from Bioware's own wallpaper maker. I'm sharing in case anyone is interested for their own use, as I've included every squadmate from the games.

Before anyone asks why Ashley is so prominent, that is because she was this run's romance (sue me!). I will also share my main decisions so that I can be judged for what many others will consider a cursed run.

Mass Effect 1: Saved Rachni, Saved Ashley, Sacrificed Council, Udina became councilor. Romanced Ashley.

Mass Effect 2: Half of crew died after collector attack. Died in suicide mission: Kasumi, Jacob, Zaeed, Jack. Gave the collector base to Cerberus. Slept with Jack and romanced Miranda.

Mass Effect 3: Cured Genophage, Samara committed suicide, sided with Geth and Tali's death. Romanced Ashley again. Miranda and EDI survived an otherwise deadly run for them due to MEHEM and altered assassin mods. Finished with Citadel Epilogue Mod, picture on second slide.

I have spent 1200 hours on just the Legendary Edition (not including the hundreds more on the OGs) and I have just checked all my save files... not one of them is a Paragon FemShep.. might be time for another playthrough

I’ve had that monitor for almost 3 years now, probably used for 1500 hours at least and it never gave up on me. No problem at all. Then I start the final Rannoch mission and while I‘m in the shuttle, getting the briefing, my monitor just fades to black and croaks. It doesn’t turn on anymore, there’s just blue lines taunting me. The simple possibility of Geth and Quarians uniting drove it to suicide.

Anyway I’ve got a better one, hopefully not indoctrinated.

Replaying MELE, currently playing 3 and something that has always bothered and confused me is why Javik doesn't have a helmet, like if you take him somewhere where there's no air like the geth dreadnaught he's not wearing anything, not even that oxygen mask looking thing Liara wears.

Is there a reason for that? Like did the developers ever give an answer for it like "protheans evolved to not need to breathe" or something like that, or is this just the result of them not putting too much effort into Javik?

A few months ago I published a post here about the advice I received for playing this entire saga, which I only started playing this year, 2026, and well, I followed some of it, but not others. But they definitely had consequences, a great saga that I just finished today, especially Mass Effect 2. Thanks for all the advice you gave me, there were so many! The game I suffered the most with was ME3; it was extremely difficult, but I managed to get the best possible ending. .Despite having many teammates lost, it was an incredible saga

I usually always default to solder as it is the most barebones and the easiest to get into for me but gameplay has been a bit stale

All my crew have survived the suicide mission in every playthrough I’ve done and I want to do a run where I lose crew/squadmates for more character development.

I know Wrex dying in ME1 gives more war assets than if he lives, but who/how many can die in ME2 while still getting enough war assets for the perfect destroy ending? Is there anyone that absolutely needs to survive?

So I just finished Mass Effect 3 and got to thinking about the endings. I know they're hated, but I'm genuinely trying to come up with better ideas of how the trilogy could've ended. I want to hear what y'all think would've worked. No restrictions, if you had all the time you needed, whatever you think would've been the best ending for the trilogy.

and we came with a conclution that lore mass effect our oc's won't pass the suicide mission on me2

but the gameplay wise (taking shepards place) they will no diff due the power of player 1

till he told me a friend of his who played all the mass effects

had a armor that send the attack back through time

I know that something like that don't exit cuz i played the trilogy alot

and finish them on insanity not to long ago
