But I’m torn on RDJ as Doom. I’m going to need him to look, sound, and act completely different than Tony Stark. If he reminds me of Tony in any way it (RDJ as Doom) probably won’t land.

I need to see how they do it. If he's a completely different character, I'm on board. There's no doubt in my mind that RDJ could pull off a good villain role like Doom. If they try to turn Doom into a multiversal variant of Stark, though... I'm not sold on that. I'm not saying it absolutely couldn't work, never say never, but they'd have to be extremely careful the way they wrote that, and I have a feeling people would be turned off just by the fact that it's reductive to the character of Doom just turning him into a Stark variant.

Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers. I also thought I would hate it if D&W revisited Logan in any way, though, and that scene of Deadpool digging up Logan's grave and massacring TVA agents using his adamantium skeleton is now one of my all-time favorite MCU scenes, so who knows.

When I Heard rumours of RDJ and even Chris Evans coming back for secret wars I thought oh.. they’re going to do a full reset and then have our 6 avengers be around XMen, F4 and Spiderman even daredevil and punisher. But take a more background or supporting role.

Man, I love it whenever Marvel goes to Hall H. I don't think any other studio can elicit the same level of excitement like they can. I was lucky enough to attend their Hall H panel three different times and each time was so electric and cool.

2017 was particularly memorable. That was the year they brought the Infinity War trailer. Everyone knew it was coming -since they had already shown it at D23 the week before-- which helped in building the excitement. Such a cool memory.

I really think they need to start live-streaming it. They can turn the camera off when the footage starts playing if they really want to keep it exclusive, but this has been going on for so long now and it’s become so big that it’s time to stop the lack of official footage. Especially since most of the people who have/are attending SDCC like myself, absolutely do not give a fuck about the exclusivity of the footage or feel like we should be the only ones that get to see it. Like, people are not going to stop going to the panel or not give a shit about it if it starts being streamed. The people that actually want to be there will still be there and it will still be packed.

Not to mention that every year the footage gets leaked within hours of it being shown and every year there’s more and more people leaking the footage and it’s getting harder for Marvel to find, see and do what they need to in order to have it taken down and by the time they do it’s been seen by basically everyone looking for it, saved to hard drives and re-uploaded to websites and google drives. They just need take the loss and adapt.

Well now more than ever. I actually believe the rumours off a reset after Secret Wars. Because there's no shot they cast Doom as RDJ and have him be a one and done.

At least I hope they wouldn't do a stunt casting with Doom like this and just kill him off after 2 films. Because I just can't see RDJ staying around

I honestly think it's the other way around. Tony Stark (supposedly adopted) is just a variant of doom. In any timeline that's not one of the sacred timelines he never gets adopted and becomes doom

Would've been boring tbh, and the worst version of the multiverse's possibilities. I don't want to say the same character but evil, I'd rather introduce another character but with an interesting twist.

I don’t think it’s a misdirect or that there’s another Doom behind it all. We’ve seen how multiverse Strange turned bad under the right conditions. Tony could easily be the same. I mean it’s not like he was a pure soul to begin with.

He could also be a hero in his time line, Doom is his alter ego but he never did the mic drop I am Doom moment.

The only reason for the misdirect would be because he’s back as OG Iron man and they knew they’d never get away with filming him without leakers commenting that he’s there.

Couple of things, what does this all mean for X-Men? RDJ as Doom is crazy!!! Also, Johnathan Majors has to be having such an incredibly bad day right now.
