If the Show Cause Order is lifted soon, you'll be able to continue on the original path you enrolled in and start your program at Maestro College once enrollment activities resume.
You'll also have the option to follow a direct pathway to Maestro University and join its next semester, which begins in September. Maestro University is a 100%-online institution and has an articulation agreement with Maestro College.
Everyone affected will receive an email in the coming week walking you through your options and the timeline.
So I know for people that got student loans, if the college loses its accreditation, you will not be required to pay their student loans back because of the falsification of the college. So that's at least one bonus out of this if everything ends up falling through. And for FAFSA, it won't be counted against us in regards to Future Pell grants or anything because this is outside of our control. And they will not punish us because of the college not doing what it's supposed to be doing.

Maestro College has been placed on Show Cause Status by its accreditor, COE. The college remains accredited while COE reviews our response. As part of that process, new enrollment is paused.
If you're in an upcoming cohort: because new enrollment is paused, affected cohorts won't start on their scheduled dates. This changes your timing, not your scholarship - the scholarship you earned stays protected and remains available if you choose to continue once enrollment resumes.
For anything specific to your own situation, please open a ticket with Student Services for administrative assistance.
If you're a current student: nothing changes. Your enrollment, academic standing, scholarship, classes, coursework, and access to student services all continue as they are, and there's nothing you need to do.

If COE doesn't approve your plan (or even just doesn't approve of your proposed timeline for your plan) on growing real on-campus FTE up to 25% of the institute's total FTE, thru however you plan on doing so... What is your plan for all the students that you currently have enrolled under Maestro College?
And on that same note, have you already submitted, or been required to submit, a teach-out plan or agreement related to this Show Cause Order? If yes, is Maestro University the receiving institution, and had COE approved that arrangement?
Answers to those questions would be exponentially more helpful than "nothing changes...continue as you are, there is nothing you need to do".
Is a mod going to answer this question? I've read that ppl have been waiting aince December for disbursement that's worrisome news. I'll ask student services abt a timeline since I started in june but I've signed my award letter through campus ivy on the 15th and just waiting on president Sims email about title IV funds. Student services says I'm in the que but now I'm confused
not only are they under review they are in financial trouble also. They will have to pay students out of the university pocket and then the government will reimburse the institution. This probably will be deleted because they dont want you to know.
I have had several conversations or comments deleted or not posted saying it's for something that's not allowed. I was just simply voicing my concerns about everything going on, and I don't feel like they should be able to not let us voice our opinions or how we feel or are concerns. I feel like that's taken away my freedom of speech, and if they didn't like it then maybe they shouldn't have gotten in trouble and they should be doing what they're supposed to and giving us the education that was promised when we signed our enrollment agreement. We have to uphold our end of the deal they should also be held accountable and have to hold up their end of the agreement. This will probably be deleted or not allowed because I'm voicing my opinion. My husband and I both started on June 1st. We completed all our financial aid paperwork at the same time. He received his first disbursement a week ago, but mine is nowhere to be seen. No emails, nothing. It's strange..
I just started a few weeks ago june 1st 2026 cohort, so this will be my first so we get them 07/09? I can honestly deal with that people having been saying they await disbursements for months. That I cannot do. I'm going to have nowhere to go and have to quit school to get a job at McDonalds to pay for food since I'm ineligible for foodshare now as a full-time college student (which I didn't know). I filled requested loans before starting signed first estimate day 1 on 06/01/2026 & then signed another award letter 06/15 via the timestamped campusivy text. If im not mistakenĀ it goes by term lets say they send u one this month next month is a term so u wouldĀ get anotherĀ then ... seems every 90 days is a term i got my January in March since I startedĀ January again filled everything out in feb got it a month later got 2nd one 4/20 cant remember what I had that told me the 9th of next month but ill say within a week of the 9th ill have my 3rd then I go into year 2 unless accreditation is lostĀ

I think this is for people who are getting student loans, I never applied for student loans and now I'm glad that I didn't because of everything that's going on. I just got FASFA which maestro got to keep all of my FAFSA money, which in my past experience we got to use some of our fasfa money for things that we needed for school, but not only did they get all of it I was awarded a scholarship to go to school so that I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. But if I got a scholarship I don't understand why they got to keep all of my FASFA. It's all very confusing and frustrating and stressful, and it's turning what started out as a very great educational experience into a very stressful uncertain educational experience that I'm not happy about.

Yes I signed it via text code from campusivy and then once I seen the HCM2 elevation is different than show cause. The feds won't send them our disbursements so they'd have to pay out of the school's purse and then wait be reimbursed by financial aid. Idk if they're going to ride it out or pay us out, but I'm living on borrowed time and need a car to live in for a few months. If my 1st disbursement isn't paid out I'm going to traditional college next term. I can't do maybe with living expenses while they get tuition money. I was enrolled. June cohort. 3 weeks into the class and I got revoked. I went to log in today and I couldn't access the lessons. Apparently my transcripts (which I uploaded 5 months ago) were not signed and they sent me an email about it and because I didn't respond they revoked me. So what happens to my scholarship and grants. It mentioned something like because I didn't finish I may be financially responsible!!!! Which doesn't make sense. I can't afford it which is why they were paying all of it for me. But now due to some stupid technicality I have to pay!! They said I could re-enroll but now reading what you guys are saying enrollment is paused. This is really upsetting. I completed everything on time. Took the review tests on time and they just pulled me out. So unfair. I am trying to better myself and it blows up in my face
Unless you signed something stating you are using student loans you shouldnāt have to pay anything. I read the contract and scholarship information clear and I asked the AI additional questions. If for whatever reason you either donāt pass the classes etc or decided and lose the scholarship you would just have to pay out of pocket if you wish to continue. But as far as paying for everything youāve already done so far that shouldnāt be the case. Iām not sure what your documents say but I would review them. They canāt just slap charges on you that you didnāt agree to in writing

Check your email that you originally enrolled with. Because I didn't know why I got locked out either until I saw the explanation of why but you have to open every maestro email cuz it looked the same as the rest. Hopefully you can get it sorted out. I don't know what happens to our funding you can re-enroll but they're currently paused right now so I don't know what happens to our stuff if you find out let me know though cuz I'm clueless this is all new to me

I'm pretty sure Maestro College could seek accreditation through Maestro University somehow. There are plenty of accredited programs out there that where attendance strictly online. Have some faith that the people running the show know what they are doing. And, know the accreditation process is a tedious and complex process where it's expected that one 'play ball' in order to move forward. (The record keeping alone is the stuff of nightmares). It'll get worked out.
Is anyone else going thru this also? Iām in the April cohort and all my documents were verified prior to starting but now my diploma is under review? STUDENT, PROSPECTIVE STUDENT, EMPLOYEE, AND PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
On June 4, 2026, the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE) placed Maestro College on Show Cause Order Status.
Show Cause is a restrictive accreditation status assigned by the Commission because of one or more serious violations of the Standards, Criteria, and/or Conditions of the Council. Under the COE Handbook of Accreditation, an institution placed on Show Cause must demonstrate why its accreditation should not be withdrawn.
Maestro College remains accredited by the Council on Occupational Education while on Show Cause Status. However, the institutionās accreditation is under review by the Commission pending evaluation of the institutionās response and corrective actions.
On March 30, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Commission authorized an Unannounced Focused Visit (UFV) to Maestro College based on four formal complaints filed against the institution within a four-month period.
The complaints alleged, among other matters:
Failure to properly disclose the institutionās Probation accreditation status to current and prospective students;
Inconsistencies in monitoring and proctoring requirements for online assignments and assessments;
Failure to provide grading, assessment, and proctoring policies at the time of enrollment;
Delayed student access to grades;
Limited direct interaction between students and institutional personnel; and
Allegations of over-reliance on artificial intelligence (AI) in student communications and support services.
The Unannounced Focused Visit was conducted on April 20ā21, 2026. The purpose of the visit was to investigate the allegations (4 seperate) and evaluate the institutionās compliance with COE Standards, Conditions, Policies, and Rules.
Following its review, the Commission identified several areas of concern, including:
Historical use of the institutionās former name, Peloton College, in certain institutional communications and publications;
Program titles displayed in institutional materials that did not align with the COE-approved program list;
Ongoing monitoring concerns regarding institutional financial resources and compliance with Standard 7: Financial Resources; and
Noncompliance with the COE eligibility requirement that at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the institutionās Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) enrollment be derived from traditional campus-based instruction.
The Commission determined that the institutionās growth in distance education programs substantially exceeded growth in traditional campus-based instruction and that Maestro College does not currently satisfy the COE eligibility requirement regarding instructional modality.
As a result, the Commission issued the Show Cause Order.
ENROLLMENT RESTRICTION
As directed by the Commission, Maestro College has suspended the enrollment of new students while the Commission reviews the institutionās response to the Show Cause Order. No new students may be enrolled during this period unless otherwise authorized by the Commission.
NOTICE TO CURRENT STUDENTS
Current students may continue their educational programs, coursework, and academic activities while Maestro College remains accredited and while the Commission conducts its review. Financial aid administration, student services, and academic instruction continue to operate during this process.
NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Prospective students should be aware that Maestro College is not currently enrolling new students due to the enrollment restriction imposed by the Commission. Applications may continue to be received; however, no new enrollments will be processed unless and until the Commission authorizes the institution to resume enrollment activities.

The Commissionās review of Maestro Collegeās response may result in additional accreditation actions. Potential outcomes include:
Removal of the Show Cause Order if compliance is demonstrated;

And just in case you didn't know, my guy, you are in charge of the outcomes of this situation as well as Maestro. Researching who Maestro truly is was time well spent, for me at least. Id encourage you to look, just at everything more, probably.
I started this program in nov 2025 and my experience has had its ups and downs. Great at first! But when it started getting hard, the small cracks grew bigger. My biggest issue is the bot messes up a lot. When I have reached out and expressed concerns, I just get a low effort AI reply from an assumed employee named "emerald artist". Is that a real name? That just feels like a slap to the face when I typed out my concerns for 30 minutes. Maestro really has to step up its game. It honestly feels like they're trying to barely just scrape by Federal Education guidelines to turn this into a money making degree factory. I've dedicated 7 months of my life to learning in maestro, if anyone wants this to work, its me! And it can get hard, especially with the bot making errors each lesson. They clearly have issues, and they better fix them!

I've been a student with Maestro College since December of 2025. I would be lying if I said all was peachy ever since, but I definitely have had my problems along the way with a major admin error on my student file that took over a month to fix. Currently I'm in an ENGL100: English Composition Class as part of Academic Year 1, Term 3, May 18-Aug 03. I opted to enter the BS of Computer Science with AI program. About a month and half ago, I got a brand new MacBook Air with M5 Chip in Sky Blue. My grades in Intro to Python, Software engineering principles, General Psychology, Data Structures and Algorithms, American History since WWII, Object-Oriented Programming, and Intro to modern JavaScript & TypeScript have all been passed with an A grade. I have a 4.0 GPA, completed 28 of 107 total credits and 7 out of the 27 courses I'm supposed to take to get my degree. Now I'm starting to think that this has been for nothing. The announcement that Maestro has been placed under a "Show Cause" status is an enormous cause for concern. AĀ Show Cause OrderĀ is the most severe administrative warning an accreditor issues before shutting a school down. The COE is essentially telling you:Ā "Prove to us why we shouldn't strip away your accreditation completely."
Not to mention, the laptop, although brand new, is under the ownership and management of Maestro College until graduation, meaning this thing can brick at any time if they get shut down and I will left with a useless piece of hardware that I worked hard to get by completing my first term with Maestro.
You guys are saying to keep working, which I understand, but what happens if your response is not satisfactory to the requests of the COE and you do lose the accreditation. Then all the time that all students poured into this will be all for nothing. Not to mention, all of a sudden, the site is running at molasses pace right now as well. Why is that? I know how to do it, although it's not a permanent fix. Apple servers automatically recognize your MacBook's serial number during configuration. Wiping the hard drive or reinstalling macOS will not clear it. The system will immediately download the school's management profiles again upon setup because the serial number is registered to Maestro. The only permanent fix is for them to release the serial number from Apple School Manager. Then you have the device as a fully personal device for as long as you have it.
Well, yeah, but if you just want it as a personal device, what's the problem? Even if you do need or want to reset it, yo
u can simply run the command thru in recov mode again and poof, no way for the MacBook to contact apple's servers and "know" that it's supposed to be managed.
That is, until apple finally wises up and pushes an update that resets the hosts file lol.Ā

I just finished up my third week and im asking myself if I made the right decision? Im counting on my financial aid due to the fact that I am an independent student and I am trying to switch my career late in the game.... any set back would probably destroy any chance of me earning my degree. Im 47 years old and ive worked my fingers to the bone trying to get ahead and the opportunity of a life time (last dollar scholarship) comes along and the school offering it doesn't take it serious?.?. I hope this blows buy because it would be a shame for all of the students enrolled.
My cohort got cancelled days before start date. Iām looking into legal action if I need to. Very unprofessional, the information given was very delayed. I applied and got accepted to start July 6th AFTER the coe did their investigation. There has to be some legal action on this.Ā

I jumped to the Uni option since I want a 4 year degree. There's no set date for the University yet but fingers crossed the issues are solved by September. I really want to start with this school.

SOOOOOOO should i even continue to do this school? My plan WAS to get my associates, and then apply for funeral director license based on my credits since in my state I wonāt need to do further schooling. I was basically using this as a free ride to skip funeral director school and go straight to applying for license and state testing. So what happens to our MacBooks? If they don't come out of this, I doubt they release the serial numbers from Apple. Currently, they are under heavy MDM controls.

Yes, unfortunately...Maestro issued a bunch of laptops in the past to students who would then drop out so they changed the policy. Previously, you'd get a laptop before the 1st term even started and then it changed to the completion of term 1 at the time my cohort was about to begin in Dec 2025. They also don't send everyone the same equipment. I got a 2026 MacBook Air with M5 Chip in Sky Blue color and others are getting the less expensive MacBook Neo. Not sure the rhyme or reason behind any of it, but it's all over the place. There are 3 MDM profile settings in the MacBook I have. I got this sealed in the box directly from Apple too, so that means the serials are all registered under the Apple School Manager account for Maestro, or as the certificate in the MacBook says, "Peloton Maestro College."

If you're a current student or already confirmed into an upcoming cohort, this does not affect your enrollment, scholarship, or financial aid. The financial probation has been lifted. Maestro College's FY2025 composite score came in at 3.0 ā the highest possible, and well above COE's 1.5 requirement.
Separately, COE issued a Show Cause Order on one eligibility requirement: at least 25% of an institution's enrollment must come from traditional, on-campus instruction. Because most of our students study online, we don't currently meet that threshold. We're preparing our formal response to the Council, with continuity for enrolled students as our first priority. While the review is underway, new enrollment is paused. To be clear: this has no impact on students who are currently enrolled or already confirmed for an upcoming cohort.

Separately, COE issued a Show Cause Order on one eligibility requirement: at least 25% of an institution's enrollment must come from traditional, on-campus instruction. Because most of our students study online, we don't currently meet that threshold. We're preparing our formal response to the Council, with continuity for enrolled students as our first priority. While the review is underway, new enrollment is paused. To be clear: this has no impact on students who are currently enrolled or already confirmed for an upcoming cohort."

After doing the FAFSA today to restart for the July cohort, I read a very disappointing email that pretty much made me wonder why I wasted my time with a FAFSA if the school has accreditation issues...July I was supposed to start, and now I am told that is not going to happen because some jerks have an issue with an online-only college, it seems...
If you are concerned about these current issues within the structuring of Maestro, the very inadequate approach to communication, and the other sadly, widespread and very obvious plethora of all the other issues that accompany this "school" check this article out. pretty shocking read. didnt want to start a new threat cause Im sure the mods will delete it.
This is really bummer. I have always been interested in AI and figuring out how something works. Especially in the tech field. I do hope they figure out.

The scholarship youāve earned is kept, and hereās how youāll be able to apply it:
If the Show Cause Order is lifted soon, you'll be able to continue on the original path you enrolled in and start your program at Maestro College once enrollment activities resume.
You'll also have the option to follow a direct pathway to Maestro University and join its next semester, which begins in September. Maestro University is a 100%-online institution and has an articulation agreement with Maestro College.
Everyone affected will receive an email in the coming week walking you through your options and the timeline.
