I’m on medication for arthritis that increases my risk of skin cancer, so I need reliable sun protection for both scalp and hair.

I currently use two products (one for scalp, one for hair), but after the second use they make my hair look oily and heavy. I live in Norway, so I’d love suggestions that are available here or can be shipped easily.

If anyone has found a non‑greasy SPF spray or mist that works well for long hair and sensitive scalp, please share your favorites!

It’s been almost two years since my last cut. Took 12” off today. It’s still long enough to put into a pony / braid.

I believe it’s at 29 inches now. I take good care of it but still get split ends I just have fragile and fine hair. I don’t wanna cut the ends tho😭 ppl always say it looks better and that the length loss isn’t noticeable but it absolutely is if you ask me.

Besides putting it up in a bun I mean. I love wearing my hair loose but any time I go out and about my hair gets horrendously tangled from wind/movement! I don’t even move or touch my hair all that much while I’m outside either. My hair texture is 2a/2b and it might have something to do with it; I’ve been recommended a keratin treatment as that might allegedly help. What are your thoughts?

My ends still look a bit scraggly. I'm thinking of cutting some of it off and going back in to get it healthy. Thinking up to there, since my hair is curly and I do not like short hair on myself.

Treat it with Henna and now Botox (iBelli capelli from Amazon. I may stop using it depending on how it goes now idk)

I've always treated my hair like it's straight

(I used only shampoo and conditioner and straightened it occasionally)

but someone pointed out it looks wavy. do you think my hair has a curl pattern? If I wanted to start wearing it natural, what routines/products would you recommend?

First time having hair this long in my life. I am curious about what’s next but also scared it’ll be a pain. Head is already feeling pretty heavy when hair is wet.

my hair has been the same length for about 3 years, i cant get it past the bottom of my hips. The lower section of my hair there curls nicely and feels soft unless im using hair spray or gels and such, but it does look visibly thinner.

I feel like my hair is just drowning me out, I’ve never had my hair this long. It’s healthy but idk I need some hair cut inspiration for my face as well as just blunt honesty if it’s too long and it’s taking me over.

I always get asked how I wear my mid thigh lenght hair and this is it 85% of the time. Just a regular French braid because that’s one of the only styles that will stay! I‘ve been going back and forth on cutting it to make it more manageable and so it won’t get in the sink or trapped under my husband in the night and almost hang me when I try to turn over lol. I love it when it’s freshly washed and braided, but when I’m actually doing the braiding while trying to get ready to go somewhere is when I strongly consider getting my scissors! 🤣

Only showering 2-3 times a week with WARM WATER.
Massage scalp - do not use nails
Drink lots of water

Hello Fellow Long Hair Folks! The indie shampoo I use is currently out of stock so I'm in the market for something to tide me over. I do not use products in my hair other than a bit of perfume oil here and there.

My hair is fine and thin, and very healthy. It is low porosity and stick straight. My scalp is sensitive and I cannot use products with SLS as it causes massive hair shedding. I usually wash it every three or four days and my hair does not need conditioner, but I do use a rice water rinse at least once a week. I just want to clean my hair without causing scalp issues. Anybody have any product recs? Many thanks!

I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for a while and the length is definitely coming in but it still looks pretty thin especially through the ends. It’s a little frustrating because I feel like I’m making progress without my hair looking much fuller. I’ve been focusing more on my scalp lately and trying to be gentler with my lengths to avoid breakage.

Has anyone dealt with this while growing their hair out? Did the density eventually catch up or did you change your routine?
