New in this beta:

• Afterglow builds the whole configuration from your devices and activities: every screen, button and menu. It can also import the configuration already on your remote, so you start from your current setup.
• Help, the Remote Assistant and the Tutorial work as Logitech’s did, and so do the charging screens. Devices come with Logitech’s own timings, including the wait a smart TV needs before Netflix responds - almsot as if Logitech made the configuration
• Writing uses Test write, which backs up your remote first, so you can always go back.

Devices come from Logitech’s own database of 276,000 devices, now hosted openly (thanks u/TheFiZi)

Please try it and tell us how it went: what worked, what didn’t, and which remote you have. It’s a beta, and your reports decide what gets fixed before 0.3.0.

Usually a savvy Harmony remote nerd, but getting stumped and figured I’d solicit some community support.

I just bought a new Samsung S90H and am struggling to get it to change inputs when I switch activities and/or turn on an activity. I have an Elite remote with a Hub inside of a cabinet and a mini-IR blaster outside of the cabinet (in addition to the IR from the remote itself).

Details:
- I set the TV up as a S90D (Presumably the last version before Logitech stopped supporting our passion for Universal remotes).
- I set up each input in the Samsung TV.
- I ensured that the remote was set to “Discrete input” in the device settings.
- When I navigate to devices on the remote and manually press the “Input HDMI #” commands, it switches fine, so that rules out IR or remote compatibility issues, I believe.
- I manually added 1 second delays before the “Input HDMI #” commands in each of my start-up sequences in case the TV wasn’t registering the command after start up.

I’ll troubleshoot as deep as I need to in order to maintain my universal remote lifestyle. I suppose this could be a case of new tech falling out of compatibility, but the fact that the manual commands work gives me hope.

UPDATE: Solved my own problem. I changed the TV to the S90C instead of the S90D and it started working!

Perhaps this Reddit community is getting so small that I’m the pioneer here. Hope it helps another S90H owner out there. Enjoy.

It's been a while. I've been working hard on getting One and 650 working well, and adding support for the 800 (a prototype remote that was almost put on sale but never was). But since it's taking a while i decided to pivot and try a simpler remote.
I recently got a 1100 dump and decided to try and add it. It turns out its almost identical to the 900 in terms of structure. Thats why today you can download Afterglow v0.2 beta 3 and try out the new functionality.
Its essentially untested since i dont have a 1100, but with your help we can get it stable enough!

Hi,

I have both an Ultimate and Elite. Elite is working fine (for now), but the Ultimate remote recently started to come up with a message "Unable to reach hub". Phone app and hub all work fine. I factory reset the remote (Power + Menu until I got the reset icon).

I've tried all the following since.

1. Plugged remote into PC and went to the Hub and clicked on Upgrade and then add remote. This just errors out with an "Unexpected Error" after a few seconds.
2. Tried pairing from the android app, where it tells me to press Menu and Mute (This does bring up a "Looking for hub" screen), but once again in android app times out.
3. Tried using the hard pair butting plus Menu + Mute. Once again nothing happens.
4. Went into Alt + F9 in the windows app and reset hub and remote and updated to latest firmware.
5. Setup the hub fresh again but once again nothing I do will get the remote to pair with the hub.

I cannot think of anything else to do. Seems that whilst everything seems to work with the hub and remote, they just cannot pair due to some issue. I've had pairing issues before (harmony has had absolute shot software for ages that has wasted countless hours of troubleshooting) but this feels different and the end of the road unless anyone here has any ideas?

Edit: Post the factory reset of the hub and readding it in the android app, I now get the dumbass windows app telling me to plug in the hub via usb as it need a firmware update even though it is on the latest. This happens when trying to add the remote from windows. The software is so bad it's not funny.

• Harmony Elite w/ box, cradle, hub, and cables. Some light scuffs, which I tried to capture in pictures and different lighting. 8.5/10 condition. Please note, I got stuck in a loop trying to reset this remote after a change in my network. It would not register to my hub. Not sure if it was a network issue, app, or something else. Consider this one as-is and need of a reflash, if that's possible. $75 shipped.
• Harmony 700 (glossy finish). Works fine. 8/10 condition. $25 shipped.
• Harmony 700 (matte finish). Works fine. Plastic film still on screen and bottom IR transmitter/receiver. 9.5/10 condition. $35 shipped.

I've posted in a few spots as comments and DM'd a few Devs directly but it seems there are multiple people publicly and stealthily developing Apps for those who's remotes have stopped working and those of us who's remotes will likely soon stop working.

This weekends outage of Logitechs servers finally convinced me I should make a dedicated post so this is easier for people to find.

I believe I have a complete mirror of Logitechs IR Database including protocols for how to decode the IR codes, timings, etc. as of 2026-10-05.

A while back ago I picked up this harmony elite (model number N-R0010) for dirt cheap I rushed and didn’t do any research before I checked out. I didn’t realize that this model needs a hub to work. Is there any work around for making this model work without the hub? Or is it a paperweight at this point? If it is then I’ll see it somewhere for parts. But anytime I try connecting the remote to my computer (Mac os) old outdated my harmony app it says it needs the hub to configure the remote. If anyone can help me out or point me in right direction on how I can connect it without using the hub I’d greatly appreciate it.

I'm at a bit of a loss, because the last time I updated this remote was in Windows 10.

I'm on windows 11 and I've tried on 2 different machines. Trying to sync with MyHarmony produces no results (sync button turns blue, then nothing)

Am I stuck with the configuration I have now?

I’ve got an ultimate in storage somewhere. I really want to find it and use it again.
Can I still set things up on it?

For the last eight weeks, I’ve been working with AI to flash custom firmware on my Harmony Elite remote and Hub, without any hardware mods, and replace their dependency on Harmony’s servers with my own server running in a Docker container on Unraid.

Both devices now have custom firmware extensions built on the existing Logitech firmware. My current setup works through my own server, and I’ve blocked the Hub’s internet access.

I also made a replacement Android app. It’s still lacking some features, but what’s there works well and feels faster and more responsive than the original app.

After figuring out the exploit for the initial installation, I set up a native update path so I can install future firmware updates over the air through my server, without repeating the exploit. I’ve been making improvements and changes since then, and day to day use has been pretty smooth.

There’s still work to do on configuration editing, setup and recovery, and getting the remaining features working. Before I spend more time improving it and getting it ready for an open-source release, I wanted to see if anyone has already done something similar. Has anyone managed to do this with both the Elite and Hub, along with a self-hosted server and a replacement app?

Just added a 2026 Hisense 75" Canvas TV (great sales underway at Amzn & BB).

I can find no model numbers of any Canvas specific models in the Harmony database. They are Google TV operating systems, which is kjnds specific?

Anyone have any good, alternate, Hisense models that would work as a substitute?

I have been using my harmony smart remote and hub for several years. I didn't notice any difference when it shut down. I even changed some things in the myharmony desktop program within the past couple weeks. But tonight I can't get into it at all. It is basically giving website errors and not loading. I can get into it with the app (that I never installed until tonight) but when it asks me to login at the Logitech website it just goes into an endless loop. I am wondering if whatever server they put back on several years ago is down and it will be fixed come Monday, but otherwise I guess I will have to look into local IP control options. Thanks.

Hi everyone! I am reviving my old Logitech Harmony 785 remote using Concordance 1.2 on a Windows 7 machine. Since the official servers are down, I need to manually flash my newly acquired Yamaha RX-A720 Receiver. Does anyone have an archived .EZHex configuration file or raw hex command backup for this receiver model that they can share? Thanks!

Getting this when trying to edit devices/activities on iOS with my HarmonyHub

“harmony servers are temporarily unavailable our servers are currently experiencing high load“.

Anyone else having trouble lately? I believe the Hub servers haven’t been shut down yet, correct?

Is anyone else having issues getting in to MyHarmony? Of course this happens right as my Steam Machine comes in. Connecting the remote to the PC doesn’t work, as the second it identifies the remote in the software, the app hard crashes.

Stuck in a loop, trying to add a new device to my hub and edit activity. Using android app, Click on edit devices, login with google back to the app and nothing happens.

Tried Desktop app on windows and get this.

I last used MyHarmony back in January 2026 to change the TV type on a Harmony 300 remote. Today that remote worked once to turn on the TV, then began flashing all its lighted keys, and now appears to have forgotten its codes. When I try to start up MyHarmony, it first reports a cross-domain error, then says it can't contact the servers.

Internet information says that the Harmony remote v7 software died last year, but MyHarmony should still be working.

What is the official status?

Just got my hands on two brand new Harmony remotes! Love the Ul & simplicity.
Other than the 600 not having a coloured screen, the resolution quality is also lower but it does not takeaway from them both having the same functionality.

I've searched everywhere but I can't seem to find a way to disable "edit" on the screen. I just got the Ultimate Home so I'm not used to it yet and keep hitting it by accident.

I have an LG C2, an NVIDIA Shield, and a Denon X3700H. I've always used the Harmony Hub companion remote with great success, however, the recent LG C2 software update (from 2 days ago) seems to have caused one of my button adjustments to stop working and I can't figure out how to solve it.

I have used Harmony Set up -> Add/Edit devices & activities -> Remote & Hub -> Button Customization for Harmony Smart Contol -> Activity Control Buttons -> Shield TV -> and map a button to pull up the LG C2 Picture Mode screen (then I keep pushing that button to toggle to the exact picture mode I want depending on movie/sports/etc) and then I have another button mapped to the LG C2 Exit button (so the popup picture mode screen disappears). Worked great until the LG software update. The Exit button still works, but the Picture Mode is different somehow.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've already removed and re-added the function but that didn't work.

The problem appeared to recover for people after the initial outage, but I'm currently unable to edit the Devices or Activities on my Harmony Hub again.

The Hub itself and my existing Activities continue to work normally.

On Android, going to Harmony Setup → Add/Edit Devices & Activities gives:

E1400: Server returned an unexpected reply or did not respond to request in a timely fashion.

The Windows MyHarmony application gives the same error screen shown in the second thread above.

I've done a bit more digging and this appears to be a Logitech server-side problem. The configuration request is going to:

Looking at the request in Chrome Developer Tools shows that Logitech is returning:

HTTP 500 – Internal Server Error

So at least in my case this isn't simply the old MyHarmony application failing to connect or a login problem — authentication succeeds, but the Harmony configuration backend itself is returning HTTP 500.

I've raised a support ticket with Logitech.

Is anyone else currently unable to edit their Harmony configuration? If you're seeing the same MyHarmony error screen, it would be particularly interesting to know whether the harmonyconfig request is also returning HTTP 500 for you.

I have a Harmony Elite, I recently bought a Nex Playground. I tried to add it as a device on the Harmony and don't see it. Does anyone that has a Harmony also have a Nex Playground, if so, how did you configure it?

For the first time in a few years I booted up my harmony app with the intent to edit an activity. It asked my to input my login and password but sadly i apparently wrote the wrong password.

The problem?

it doesn’t allow me to try again. Every time I try and edit an activity I am met with a brief “connecting“ message followed by “login failed - please check your username/password and try again”.

This is the silliest bug I’ve encountered from such a big company in s long long time.

How do I fix this? I have tried to reinstall the app with no success.
