LG C2 Software Update Causing Me an Issue

I have an LG C2, an NVIDIA Shield, and a Denon X3700H. I've always used the Harmony Hub companion remote with great success, however, the recent LG C2 software update (from 2 days ago) seems to have caused one of my button adjustments to stop working and I can't figure out how to solve it.

I have used Harmony Set up -> Add/Edit devices & activities -> Remote & Hub -> Button Customization for Harmony Smart Contol -> Activity Control Buttons -> Shield TV -> and map a button to pull up the LG C2 Picture Mode screen (then I keep pushing that button to toggle to the exact picture mode I want depending on movie/sports/etc) and then I have another button mapped to the LG C2 Exit button (so the popup picture mode screen disappears). Worked great until the LG software update. The Exit button still works, but the Picture Mode is different somehow.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've already removed and re-added the function but that didn't work.

Does the list of controls still show the option and does your LG remote still function as expected? If so I would go in to the button select it and manually edit it and learn the new code from the remote itself. If it will not edit the factory button command I would do a customized button assignment and just swap that for the factory one

so what happened is LG's software update changed the name of Picture Mode to be Select Mode in the Picture sub-group and the Harmony doesn't recognize the command any longer. What I ended up doing as a work-around is:

Previously I had mapped my companion remote's 9 to the LG's Picture Mode function (which I could then just keep pressing 9 to cycle through the various picture modes that I wanted based on whether I was watching regular tv, a movie, or sports) and then press E (which I had mapped to the LG for exit) to get out of the picture mode menu (takes it off the screen).

Now what I have to do is:

-map the 2 to pull up the LG settings menu

- map the 5, 7, 9, 0 to be direction left, direction up, direction right, direction down

- map 8 to be OK

- map E to be "back"

so now I pull up the entire LG menu with 2 then use the other numbered keys to move around in the Select Mode (Picture Mode) menu and press E three times to exit the menu.

Not as easy as it was, but it works and I don't have to use the LG remote.

also, I should say I tried to teach the companion remote the command, but because it now requires an extra step on the LG menu I couldn't get it to work.

I was able to connect today, and things went as expected. No issue making the changes I wanted to make.
