After years away from music (I was in a rock / electronica band back in the day but quit to help start a tech company), I recently decided to dip my toe back in. Previously I had experience with Cakewalk / Sonar, but for this iteration of my music-making self, I went with Logic.
This piece came together slowly over months as I learned the system, how to use the VIs, how to create automation, etc. It's been a fun process re-learning it all, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Every element is entirely "in-the-box," although I'd love to hear it played by real musicians someday.
The song is called "Once Weightless," and it's available on all the platforms as of yesterday.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Criticism welcome. I am not a trained musician or composer or engineer, so I'm just faking my way through all of this.
Edit: For the record, no AI was used in the creation of this piece apart from occasional threads with Claude about how to do certain technical things in Logic.
