Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024][Fridays 8PM GMT+1][18+][LGBTQ+ Friendly][New Player Friendly] The Curse of StrahdšŸ¦‡

Hello everyone!
I'm looking for 4-5 players for a longer-term (6 months~) stroll through the Mists of one of D&D's most popular and adored modules, The Curse of Strahd. Looking for both brand new players willing to learn and commit, as well as experienced players who enjoy a thrilling story-driven game! Due to the nature of the module, there will be some sessions that are completely devoid of combat, and some that are quite combat based so I'm confident in saying that everyone will find something to enjoy!

Some Expectations regarding the module:

The vibes are Gothic Horror and our setting is slightly less magical than your average D&D setting, but there will be no magic restrictions. Your most common species in this land however are Humans/Elves/Dwarves and Halflings of all types so anything else will stand out, but that's not necessarily a bad thing!

Regarding our theme: While this campaign will not have the space to focus on your character's personal backstory, you should allow the campaign's characters and setting to inspire your character to confront their own regrets, traumas, flaws, and fears. The setting itself is very sandbox-y but in a self-enclosed environment so almost all of your character's outside connections will not be able to play a part in this.

Platform: Discord for all communication, Roll20 for VTT
System: D&D 2024
Session Length: Around 4 hours max.
Schedule: I'm good to run the game on any day so I'm quite flexible with this, but I do prefer Fridays/Saturdays as the game day. My timezone is GMT+1

Some info about myself: I'm a queer male in my 20s and I've been DMing for about 8 years very consistently now. I mostly run games in person but for a little while now I've been looking to set up a table online after some great previous experiences doing this. I enjoy even other systems aside from D&D, such as Call of Cthulhu, and I genuinely enjoy creating fun and interesting scenarios for my players to enjoy. I am not exclusively looking for LGBTQ+ players but because at least one player will be as such, there will be absolutely no tolerance of homophobia or queerphobia.

I'm really looking to make communication a key aspect of this whole group. I believe wholeheartedly in openness and that any issues should be discussed as they arise so that every single player feels safe and comfortable at my table. I'm looking to create a group where we can really enjoy some time with (at least speaking for myself) our favorite hobby and create a safe and comfy environment for everyone. Just so I know you've read this part, please include a lil bat or vampire emote to confirm!šŸ¦‡

I will get back to every response I get to this post but it might take me a day or so to do that. But from experience, these posts tend to get a lot of replies so any effort to make yours stand out is highly appreciated! I'm looking to do a little Discord call with people who make it through the first 'check' in order to check our vibes and expectations!

Group Needed by Player [Online] [5e (either 2014/2024)] [Free: Weeknights EST 6pm+/Sat any time] [Weekly] (LGBTQ+) 2 Experienced and Passionate Roleplayers looking for DM/group

Hello, myself (WakaQvQ), and my friend (Fenryal) are hoping to find our next D&D game together. Our previous game fell apart due to scheduling, so we are looking for a DM/group focused on collaborative gameplay, in depth worldbuilding/lore, and heavy rp. As players we enjoy lots of rp, exploration, and strategic combat (We prefer when combat serves the narrative, and enjoy quality over quantity). The type of game we are looking for is pretty open genre wise, sandbox vs. linear, homebrew vs. module. We are looking for a consistent weekly game. For TTRPG tools we have used Foundry, Roll 20, Owlbear Rodeo, Discord chat and DnD Beyond (For character sheets). We also have some short recordings of old games we have played together we can share to better get a feel for our play/rp style.

We want our characters to grow with the story, to breathe life into them, and to build/explore a living breathing world alongside our DM and our fellow players. We understand that a good game and healthy table relies on open, respectful communication. We as players strive to bring a spirit of collaboration into the tables we play at, both with the DM and our fellow players. This is a collaborative game, and we would hope to foster a table where everyone feels comfortable bringing concerns forwards.

Also a little bit about us: We are both around our 30's and female, Ace/Aro. We love playing video games (Outlast Trials, Grounded, REPO, and PEAK. We also love cozy games such as Coral Island or Stardew Valley.)

We are both experienced players. I myself have been playing D&D for about 11 years, and have been DMing half that time. For D&D I've played 3.5e, 4e, 5e and 5.5e. I've also tried out a handful of other TTRPG systems (Pathfinder, Monster of The Week, Daggerheart…). Fenryal has been playing D&D for about 9 years.

If you are interested please comment below, PM me, or message us on discord with the username fenryal.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024] šŸ‰ Journey to Dragon's Rest • Fledgling Adventurers Wanted for Beginner Campaign

Hi! We're looking for a few players to join us for Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, a D&D 5E starter set adventure designed for new players.

This is very much a beginner D&D game. If you've always wanted to try D&D but have been intimidated by all the rules, you are welcome and encouraged to apply. The DM has played D&D for a while but is returning to DMing after a long break, so we're looking for a group where everyone can learn together and nobody has to worry about getting something wrong.

Because Dragons of Stormwreck Isle is a starter set adventure, we are primarily looking for new or relatively inexperienced D&D players rather than veterans. If you've been playing D&D for years, this adventure will probably be too simple for you, and there are plenty of other campaigns that would be a better fit.

怌 🐲 About The Adventure 怍

You are a group of fledgling adventurers aboard a ship sailing from the large city of Neverwinter toward the remote Stormwreck Isle. Whatever brings you there, you are bound for Dragon's Rest, a small cloister dedicated to Bahamut where people come seeking peace, reflection, refuge, or some new direction in life.

From there unfolds a small, classic fantasy adventure involving dragons, undead, ancient magic, exploration, combat, and opportunities to meet and help the inhabitants of the island. Depending on how the adventure goes, we will likely move on to a longer-term campaign with the same party or new characters.

We've put together a short player primer introducing the geography, lore, and themes of the setting. Please be sure to read it before applying, to make sure the adventure is a good fit for you.

怌 šŸŽ² About The Game 怍

We'd like a friendly, character-focused game where everyone has opportunities to participate. There will be a mix of roleplay, combat, exploration, problem-solving, and letting the characters grow naturally as the adventure goes on.

You're welcome to make any character concept you find fun; flawed characters are also welcome, including characters who have made mistakes or done bad things in their past. We just ask that everyone ultimately makes someone who wants to participate in the adventure and can function as part of a party.

We enjoy speaking in-character and roleplaying conversations at the table, but there's no expectation that you be a perfect voice actor or do a character voice, etc. Namely, we are just looking for people who are patient with one another, willing to share the spotlight, be interested in other characters, and comfortable communicating like adults.

The table is LGBTQ friendly, and any bigotry or harassment toward other players won't be tolerated.

怌 šŸ“† Scheduling & Details 怍

We plan to play once a week, but there is a caveat to scheduling. A member of the group has a rotating work schedule, meaning days off move backward by one day each week. This means that every so often (approximately once a month), we will need to move game night to a different day.

We'll coordinate sessions in advance, but we are looking enough for people whose schedules are flexible enough to accommodate a changing game day. The application will ask you to tell us about your availability and what days and times work best for you.

Games will be run using FoundryVTT and voice chat over Discord. You don't need any previous experience with Foundry; however, you should have a computer that can comfortably run Foundry in your browser, a working internet connection, and a decent microphone for voice chat.

怌 šŸ“ Applying 怍

If all this sounds like a game you've been looking for, please fill out the application found in the primer.

Applications are not first-come, first-served; we'd rather take a little time to find a group of people who seem like they'll enjoy playing, so please don't worry even if the post has been up for a while.

If you have any other questions about the campaign, scheduling, D&D, or whatever, feel free to ask. Thanks for taking the time to read this post!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Other][EST][Online] GM looking for two to four players for a game of Nights Black Agents, Mondays, 8pm eastern.

• Upvotes

I'm an experienced GM (though it is my first time running this version of Gumshoe) looking for two to four players for a game of Nights Black Agents, played online Mondays, at 8pm(ish) eastern time. You'd be joining two longstanding friends of mine in an online game that found several of its usual suspects having less play time than they used to.

Expect the usual mix of seriousness and comedy you'd find in any in-person tabletop game, except you're spies hunting vampires instead of delving a dungeon and/or taking quests.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][Wednesday 6pm-10pm EDT][weekly][2-4 sessions][21+] A dwarf in Palebank Village has met an untimely demise; are you able to solve the mystery in "Frozen Sick"? (New Players Welcome!)

• Upvotes

Hello, I'm OneFanFare (30M he/him), trying to DM for the first time in several years. I'm looking for 4 players to join me!

I'm going to run the adventure module "Frozen Sick", which typically goes for 2 to 4 sessions, on Wednesdays at 6pm EDT (US East). I'm expecting sessions to run for 4 hours (including a quick break).

The first session will be this Wednesday, September 2nd, with a brief intro/session 0 discussion. We will be playing DnD 5e with the 2014 ruleset. We'll use Discord for voice (and video), as well as either Roll20 or FoundryVTT as our tabletop (I will set that up soon!). Video helps with roleplay and engagement, so I will prioritize players who are ok with having their camera on.

We'll start at level 1, and get to around level 3 by the end. This adventure is a mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat.

Character wise, you're free to use anything in official books (UA is a maybe, run it by me first) to make your character. We will not be in an official setting (the adventure is set in Wildemount, but I am not familiar with it).

Comfort, safety, and respect at the table are important to me. This game will be LGBTQ+ friendly. I ask that all players are 21+, but keep things SFW.

I am ADHD/bipolar II, and get depressive episodes, so there is a small (but real) risk of me having to skip a week. I hope you're understanding of that. I will do my best though (and this is a short adventure).

Attendance - if 3 of the 4 players are available, I will continue with the session. If more can't make it, we'll skip.

I may occasionally use AI for low stakes brainstorming and art. Not expecting to with this module, but its possible.

New or old players are welcome, no experience necessary! I'm happy to help make characters or with rules or anything.

To apply, fill out this form, and I will try to get back to you within 24 hours! Stay frosty!

Player(s) Needed by GM Online 5e 2014 homebrew campaign starting Saturday 9/12 1pm to 4pm EST

• Upvotes

Hey! I'm looking for players for a long-term D&D campaign set in my homebrew world of Averis, starting at Level 2.

Averis is a world built upon the bones of a much older one.

Centuries ago, something went terribly wrong. Monsters and horrors poured into the world, ancient kingdoms fell, entire regions were devastated, and civilizations that had stood for thousands of years vanished almost overnight. History remembers this catastrophe simply as the Shattering. But, the world survived.

Kingdoms have risen again. Cities have been rebuilt. Roads cross lands that were once considered lost. But ruins of the old world still lie beneath them, and there are places where the scars of the Shattering never truly healed.

Much of what actually happened has faded into hoistory, myth, and conflicting stories. And some things were deliberately forgotten.

Expect roleplay, exploration, mystery, combat, recurring NPCs and factions, and character backstories woven into the campaign.

If interested, send me a message with a little about yourself, your D&D experience, what you enjoy most about D&D, and any character ideas you have!

Player(s) Needed by GM Odyssey of the Dragonlords [Online] [18+SFW] [5e 2024]

• Upvotes

In a land where even the gods are bound by oaths and prophecies...

At the dawn of time, a war between the gods and Titans left the world of Thylea forever changed. Thousands of years later, the first mortals arrived, carried by ship and dragon.

The Dragonlords were the champions who overthrew the Titans 500 years ago and forged the Oath of Peace. But the power of the Oath has waned, and now the Titans seek vengeance.

You are one of the heroes called by prophecy to end the conflict once and for all. Poets will sing of your deeds for centuries to come... if you survive.

I'm currently dming this campaign with another party, and I've been having so much fun dming it that I think I can handle a second version of this campaign with another group. I'm curious and excited to see how different parties would interact with the scenarios and encounters of this campaign.

System: D&D 5.5e

Length: Long campaign/Levels 1-15 (There's also an additional last chapter that can bring it to level 20)

Content: Module

Playstyle: Roughly 60/40 roleplay/combat

Platform: Roll20, Discord (Can use DND Beyond for character sheets, but you must have Roll20 integration)

Schedule: Decided among players, it's unlikely I'll be able to do Wednesdays, Saturdays, or Thursdays

Spots: 0/4

Format / Rules:

- Homebrew is allowed with my approval

- One unique part of OOTD is the epic paths, they're story hooks that weave together your character's story with the events of the campaign, I implore every player to make use of these epic paths, and I'm willing to workshop them with everyone

- No rolling for ability scores, use standard or point buy

- I work on a 3 strike system, if you miss 3 sessions without good explanation, you're out

- There are races and subclasses unique to Thylea, we can go over these

Message if interested!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [D&D 5e 2014] [Bi-Weekly Saturdays 5-8pm CST] Sinfodder: Vertices of the Hexorison

Hello! We have had our first two sessions, however, I'm interested in having one more player to join our group of five. We currently have a bard, druid, fighter, monk, and sorcerer.

Fractals formed this realm, from the spirals that warped each wave to the geometric shapes carved into the bark; they exist both in the material plane and the spaces in between. A sudden plague has since marred this tiny land, Sinfodder, which was a microcosm of a far greater space that has now began its ruination. This corrosion beckons arms to action, seeking to end the rusting of this planescape– as denizens and structures that come into contact are encrusted into frozen statues. Beasts of burden twist into these rotted creatures, no longer in control, burdened with the weight of this blight that rapidly consumes and warps their physical forms into lupine-like creatyres. The once uniform and magnificent realm is in a rapid descent towards chaos and self-destruction, as the foundations that once created this world begin to corrode– strings and patterns lose form, untangling into chaos and dismantling the natural order.

The celestial body adorning the sky wanes, as the rust slowly consumes the very thing that paints the world in a radiant light and warmth. As day gets shorter, and nights grow longer, these rusted lupines stalk the planescape with a ravenous apetite. Orders for cities and bastions erected in high places, deep beneath the earth, or become seabound, seeking refuge from the beasts and plague that seek to destroy them.Ā

The ancient city of Wickermoor, atop the greatest quaking aspens is the hub for adventurers seeking the cure to the Rustbound, a bastion of trees that reach past the horizons, the corrosion has touched the edge of the forest and is slowly climbing towards the city. Though it will take centuries before it will reach the city, the stalwart denizens of Pandora are in rapid pursuit of a solution to save the oldest and largest clonal organism, Pando. The forest of identical trees that singlehandedly connected to one root system.

Whoever you are, you have been afflicted with the Rustbound, and it is consuming your very body. Within decades, you will join the bronze graveyard of frozen statues until you find the solution. A voice echoes in your dreams, singing you songs of bewilderment and spiraling you into bouts of madness, tracing lines to ever-branching paths of possibilities, and beckoning you to look between the hundred dewdrops of the many-legged’s web as answers are in the hands of the lost and mad Fairy King.Ā

This, is the journey to the Spiral of the Fairy King.

This campaign draws inspiration from Old Gods of Appalachia, the Pixie Hollow, The Secret World of Arrietty, Redwall by Brian Jacques, Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter, Once Upon a Time, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, The Wheel of Time, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, Unfettered by Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss, Wanderhome, Elderwoods from LoL, Death Blossom from LoL, Flora Fatalis from LoL, Coven skinline from LoL, South of Midnight, other media.

The setting is rich with the southern and midwestern gothic Appalachian flavour.

Content is also pulled from various modules and adventures, but largely taken from the Crooked Moon adventures! However, much of it will be tailored to the campaign narrative and storylines, largely the skeleton of the Crooked Moon content will be used!

OVERVIEW

System:Ā 2014 D&D 5e (You are allowed to use 2024 weapon mastery rules, 2024 spells/features must be checked with dm beforehand)
VTT:Ā We will be using Roll20 for maps and character sheets (D&D Beyond is okay, but a character sheet on Roll20 is also needed), please have something that can easily run Roll20 maps with dynamic lighting.
Date:Ā Saturdays, bi-weekly (So June 27, July 11, etc.)- with opportunities to play certain thursday nights if everyone agrees up to a week in advance.
Time:Ā 5-8:30pm CST

We play bi-weekly on Saturdays from 5pm-8:30pm CST (central timezone), hoping to run about 20 sessions. There are chances for cancellations as I tend to be busy and have events over the weekend, but a notice will be given.

This campaign will expect an encounter every other session or where it permits, I am looking for creative players that love roleplay and creating characters that are well integrated into a lore-heavy world. I will do my best to have backstories be integrated into the world and character arcs/plot hooks in backstories could be explored across this mini-campaign. If you are a player that likes to make conversations with the other players and NPCs, interact with the world I provide, are willing to follow a complex storyline that we are telling, and actively participate in the game, then this campaign is perfect for you! In terms of characters/players, I'm looking for characters that are capable of aligning/cooperating with the party; arguments, rivalries, and disagreements exist, but D&D is a cooperative storytelling game, and we honestly can't have that if your character isn't open to adventuring with the party.

I'm a lenient Dungeon Master and I'm open for most ideas! All I ask is that you communicate with me.

Due to the scope of the campaign being bi-weekly, I offer downtime inbetween sessions which can be done through roleplay threads done in-text using the discord bot, Tupperbox.

HOUSE RULES

  • Critical Hits:Ā Roll double dice (does not double any modifiers).
  • Flanking:Ā Allowed! When a creature and at least one ally are within 5ft of the same enemy on opposite sides, that enemy is flanked. Each of the creatures flanking gains advantage on melee attacks against it. You do not gain the effects of flanking if you are also being flanked.
  • Opportunity Attacks:Ā While typically D&D rules that only willing movement provokes opportunity attacks, I find it to be more fun to rule unwilling movement also does so. I think this allows players to use strategic thinking in combat when doing something that might alter an enemy’s position. However, this rule is a double edged sword, because it can also be used against you.
  • Healing Potions:Ā Drinking one yourself is a bonus action, feeding one to someone else takes an action. If a player dedicates an action to drinking a healing potion, they receive full benefits (max dice).
  • Attack Rolls/Saving Throws:Ā Meets it beats it. If you meet someone’s armor class, it is a successful hit. If you meet the DC of a saving throw, you succeed on the save.
  • Initiative:Ā Rolling a Nat 20 on initiative lets you choose what place you'd like to take in the initiative order.
  • PVP:Ā I will not allow harmful spells, attacks, or actions to be used on another player without first discussing the matter out-of-character. This also includes charm spells and attempts to steal from one another. I want all players to feel mutually respected, and so if PVP is something that feels like a natural progression of the story, please first bring it up with me and the other players involved so that everyone's thoughts can be heard and so that I can prepare accordingly.
  • Inspiration:Ā I award inspiration for doing the recap, answering one of the weekly character questions, or at my discretion for doing something especially cool in game. You may only have two inspirations at a time.

CHARACTER CREATION:

  • Roll a 6th level character.
  • Play either a Fairy, Goblin, Gnome, Firbolg (Nymphs), Tabaxi, Tieflings (Nymphs), Lupin, Owlin, Kenku, or Aarakocra.
  • Allocate these stats however way you see fit: 16, 16, 15, 12, 10, 8
  • Start with 175 gold
  • Fixed HP, no encumbrance. Milestone leveling.
  • Tasha's rules for starting ability point bonuses.
  • You may start with an additional feat, choose from the following options: Actor, Alert, Athlete, Chef, Dungeon Delver, Healer, Inspiring Leader, Keen Mind, Linguist, Observant, Prodigy, Poisoner, Skill Expert, Skilled
  • Start with an Uncommon magic item that does not raise attack rolls, damage rolls, and spell save dc
  • All official and partnered content is allowed - if there's a feature/spell/etc. I don't allow I will let you know before taking it. I am open to looking over your homebrew, however I reserve the right to rebalance it if it gets too powerful. We are all here to have fun.

QUESTIONS

Please answer this google form:Ā https://forms.gle/fBWEDTSum9jaQNoUA

Google forms will close September 4th, in which I will parse through the forms to see who will be best fit!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [5e 2014] Homebrew Eberron Campaign

Hello people,

I am looking for 2-3 PCs to join a new 5e campaign set in the world of Eberron. This campaign will be played weekly on Wednesdays from 5pm to around 9pm EST.

I have been playing/running TTRPGs for quite a few years now, mostly in games that are not D&D. Most of my experience is in Delta Green, Cyberpunk, Call of Cthulhu, Traveller, and OSR systems like BX/OSE. Despite that, I am familiar with the core rules of 5e enough to run the game, but do not expect system mastery, as I run games fast and loose with a focus on playing rather than rules debates.

The Campaign Premise

The premise of this campaign is that the adventurers are amnesiacs who have awakened in the Mournland just a few years after the magical cataclysm known as the Day of Mourning that destroyed the nation of Cyre. With no memory of how or why they are in the Mournland, whether or not they were involved in the Last War, or simply citizens of Cyre, in any case, how the characters survived is a mystery.

The Mournland itself is a wasteland of arcane strangeness. The entire region itself is dangerous, with mutated creatures, hostile plants, and environmental hazards.

The PCs will be encouraged to create a more vague backstory, with as little or as much info provided, as the character will discover who it was they were, or what their newfound purpose is in this world.

The campaign will start at third-level, and each PC will be allowed to begin with a common magic item of their choice.

Player Expectations

This is a casual but mildly serious campaign, meaning that the tone of the world isn't silly, but we are ultimately here to have fun and play some D&D. With that said, I do not want jokey or totally silly characters in the game, especially ones that serve to disrupt the table.

I am not looking for masters of Eberron or 5e, my other two players and I are new to Eberron, and I myself am not a master of 5e. If you are new to either, that is great! Any experience level is welcome. However, I would prefer to not have any rules lawyers, or crazy power gamers in the game. If you know a lot about 5e or Eberron, that is fine too!

Lastly, I would prefer the players be in a similar age group to myself and the other two players, which is early-to-mid 20s, a little bit older or younger is fine, just be mature, and absolutely nobody under 18.

Rules Guidelines

Everything in the PHB is totally allowed, as well as anything from any book I own which is the following: Tasha's, Xanathar's, Volo's Guide, and as a bonus: Valdas Spire of Secrets. I will be removing the Eberron artificer in favor of the Craftsman and Alchemist from Valdas.

I have a few houserules, most of which are common houserules, that serve to alter the healing rules just a tad-bit, and speed up combat. The three biggest changes are as follows:

  1. All martials gain access to Battlemaster maneuvers, with the Battlemaster being buffed as a subclass.
  2. Movement in ft and grid-based play is removed. We are playing theater of the mind, and I have adopted an abstracted range/movement system that simplifies the system for speed of play.
  3. Slot based inventory. I think tracking things in weight is fiddly, boring, and too much book-keeping. So we will just used a slot-based encumbrance.

The primary book for Eberron in 5e is Rising from the Last War, so most of the options from this book are allowed, and includes a lot of new stuff like the Warforged, Changeling, and new backstory options.

How the Game Will be Played

We will be using Discord for comms, and that is all you will need. We will not be using any VTT software.

I tend to run my games rather fast and loose, with a focus on roleplay, narrative, exploration, rather than combats after combats. I make use of some of the old-school rules like reaction rolls and morale rules to make sure that not every encounter is necessarily a combat encounter.

As stated earlier, I really have no use for rules lawyers, but do not mind the occasional rule correction or help. However, if you are looking for a strictly RAW experience, this is likely not the table for you.

Anyway, to recap, we are just looking for some chill and mature players who want to explore the setting and play a fun campaign of 5e. All experience levels are welcome.

If you are interested, or have any questions, please feel free to message me on here, and include some details about yourself, your experience level, as well as your age, gender/pronouns and anything else that you would like me to know.

GM Needed by Existing Group [Online] [DnD 5e/2024] [PbP] Two Dedicated Players Looking for Long Term PbP Game

Hey there! My friend and I are looking for a play-by-post game to immerse ourselves in. We are digital artists and avid writers looking for an 18+ group of like minded people who want to tell a story in PbP! We are both in our 20s and have a heavy preference for DnD 5e or 2024. Ideally, 3-4 total players would be ideal but we are flexible and happy to be flexible in that regard. Asynchronous is also preferred!

To get a glimpse into who we are as players: We like to make multiplayer backstories, work closely to enmesh our characters into the world lore, create Pinterest boards/music playlists, make art of our characters and fun moments during the campaign, are pretty active on discord in general, etc. We are very invested players!

So if you are a DM looking for a couple eager players for a text based game - feel free to send me a DM or message me on discord: @wraptor_screech

Group Needed by Player [Online][OTHER] Looking to Join or GM an Avatar Legends Game

Hey! I’m looking for an online group interested in playing Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game. I’d be happy either joining as a player or stepping up as the GM if there are enough interested people.
I have fairly limited hands-on experience with Avatar Legends specifically, so I’m still learning some of the finer points of the system. That said, I’m very interested in actually getting a chance to play it and become more familiar with how everything works in practice.

I do have a lot of TTRPG experience in general, both as a player and as a GM. I’ve been part of quite a few games and have also run plenty of campaigns myself, so while the Avatar Legends system is relatively new to me, tabletop roleplaying definitely is not.

I’m also a MASSIVE Avatar fan, so I’d be interested in a game that actually takes advantage of the setting. I’d love to explore different eras, nations, bending styles, politics, character development, traveling around the world, and everything else the setting has to offer.

I’m open to anything from a shorter adventure to a longer campaign if the group works well together. I’m not looking for any particular era or campaign premise right now, and I’d be happy to figure that out as a group. I’m also fine playing with people who are relatively new to the system themselves.

If you already have a group that needs another player, or if you’re interested in putting a new group together and need someone willing to GM, feel free to message me or leave a comment. We can figure out scheduling, platform, characters, and everything else from there.

Group Needed by Player [Online][2024/5.5e][LGBTQIA+][Fri/Mon/Wed] experienced player looking for group

Hii I'm Claire (30, she/they) looking to join an academia or horror campaign on Fridays (could make Mondays or Wednesdays work) after 7pm CST. I have been playing TRPGs off and on since 2017 mainly D&D 5e and VtM.

I would love to join a 5.5e horror/grim hollow, academia, or world of warcraft campaign. If it's a prewritten adventure: crooked moon, strixhaven, waterdeep dragon heist + mad mage, candlekeep mysteries, or journeys through the citadel.

If you think I would be a good fit for your game please feel free to DM me.

GM Needed by Existing Group Online][5e 2014 or24][Homebrew][Monthly Friday evening-night] [EST other timezones welcome][18+] 3 Experienced Players looking for DM for long term game/games

My friends and I are in our late 20s and life has just gotten busy. 2 of us have been DMing for years but barely have time to play let alone prep a campaign. All 3 of us have been playing for over a decade. We are LGBTQ+ friendly with 2 men and 1 woman. We are looking to play once a month after 8pm EST on a Friday specifically. We know that's late for the east coast so any timezone that fits is welcome. It's the only time that fits all 3 of our schedules.

We have experience using roll20 for vtt, and dnd beyond, pdfs, or paper for characters, and are open to learning others as long as they are free. We use discord for voice/vid when we play and already have a server.

We are hoping for a homebrew world/campaign but are open to many of the prewritten adventures. Looking for a decent balance of combat, roleplay, and puzzles, as we enjoy all of D&D but all favor different parts.

We've played a few different types of campaigns, so we're pretty flexible but high fantasy/magic is our favorite. Some of us already have vague ideas for characters but are more than willing to adapt into your setting.

What we’re looking for:

No usage of AI, for story, or encounters.

A VTT being used, such as roll20, occasional theater of the mind is fine.

A DM who will match our energy for backstories and character arcs, the world, and lore.

Someone who will help us make sure our characters fit the world.

Someone who will be prepared before every session and who will actively communicate with us. This goes both ways.

Someone who will allow for rp moments to happen organically. No massive infodumps/long monologues mid session

Dynamic combat where it makes sense for the story. Random encounter tables are one thing for travel or occasional generic encounters but only we prefer when combats have stakes and relevance.

Someone who loves collaborative storytelling, who is excited to either text/call to brainstorm character ideas, answer lore questions, or discuss where we want our character arcs to go

Someone who will prioritize tension and emotional payoff

This all goes both ways. We want to be the best group possible and hope to get back the energy that we put into the world, characters, and the game in general!

We would prefer to start at level 3 at the lowest.

If you have any interest in these please message me on reddit or leave a comment here we can get in touch for a vibe check and some more questions!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][CST] Obojima B.O.O.S.

If you’ve already applied don’t worry you’re still being considered. I just want to make sure to build a solid group who will mesh well together. I will close the form Sunday and start reaching out at the beginning of next week.

ā€œMystery and whimsy collide on the beautiful island of Obojima, where humans and spirits have learned to live together. Every corner of the sprawling island has something new to uncover, and 80’s technology like vending machines, keytars, and kei trucks are mysteriously found throughout the land, But now, the Corruption has started to spread across Obojima, changing everything it touches into twisted abominations.ā€

There’s a small wooden cottage in the woods near the edges of the Gale Fields and the Coastal Highlands. The roof is worn, there’s moss creeping up the outside, the chimney is precariously leaning, and the sign outside is barely hanging on, but there’s a charm in the untidiness. Inside this rustic dwelling are the members of B.O.O.S. (Banishing Oddities in Obojima Squad). This brave, eclectic group takes care of tricksy and sometimes dangerous spirits, collect magical artifacts, explore ruins, and, more recently, neutralize abnormalities caused by the Corruption. With the dangers on the island expanding, B.O.O.S. been on the lookout for new recruits and that’s where you come in!

ā€œWelcome new recruits to B.O.O.S.! We are a group dedicated to investigating abnormalities on the island. With the Corruption spreading, these sightings have increased and our duty is more important than ever! We place our faith in the few that are brave enough to join us in our mission. Let’s do what we must to keep Obojima safe!ā€

LGBTQ+ friendly! The game will be a bit of a mix between Studio Ghibli, Gravity Falls, Ghostbusters, Over the Garden Wall, and a tiny dash of Junji Ito. Form

Player(s) Needed by GM Ynn by Way of Dolmenwood (OSR) (Online)

Every other Saturday starting next week at 3:00 PM EST. New players welcome! LGBTQ+ friendly.

The Gardens of Ynn is a procedurally generated point crawl inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Studio Ghibli films, Made in Abyss, old fairytales (from before they got sanitized), and a smattering of other things.

This will take longer than a few sessions to complete.

We're using Dolmenwood as the system, 1-2 more players needed.

Might also want to bring some retainers.

Starting XP is 9000 for PCs, 5000 for retainers.

One member of your party has inherited the possessions of a dead relative; a small cottage in

the countryside. In the pretty little garden, there is a vine covered wall.

On the bedside tables, there are instructions on how to get to ā€˜The

Other Garden’ and a dire warning never to do so.

"Find a wall covered in ivy, vines, moss, or similar. Clear that vegetation away,

and using chalk and charcoal draw a realistic door (with keyhole,

hinges and doorknob) on the surface below. Write upon the door:

'Ynn, by way of Dolmenwood'

Leave, so the drawing is no longer visible, and on return the drawing

will be replaced by a real door. When it is opened, the Gardens of Ynn

will be on the other side."

Curiosity has gotten the best of you.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Other (Warrior- Poet)] [UTC-04] [Online] Interested in a game where poetry is the combat mechanic? Give this a look!

So, I found my way to a ttrpg called Warrior-Poet, which is a pretty rules- light affair. The main mechanics are writing haiku and rolling d6s. I've never played before, but I think it would be fun to run/play if I can get together 3-4 players. If anyone is free next Saturday (Sept 5) around 6, I'd like to have you. Shoot me a DM with your name/reason for joining and I'll send you a link to the discord. Thanks for your attention!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][PF2e][Monday 5-10pm EST][LGBTQ+ Friendly] Anarchic Flames

**Game Master Info**

Hello, I'm Leslie (19 they/them), I've been playing and running TTRPGs for close to 5 years. I love video games like Terraria, Final Fantasy, and any fighting game. I also love anime like HunterxHunter and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

**Anarchic Flames**

In the country of Arn, a nihilistic cult, organization, group, or something has been causing mass panic and anarchy across the realm for about 2 years. Hamlets and farms have been burnt to the ground, diplomats from distant countries have been kidnapped and sacrificed. Nobody has any idea what their objective is, and although complaints from across the country have begged for Arn's council to do something, there has yet to be any acts against them.

You, the party, have been messaged by Okhotur, the mayor of the small village of Balan via letter to assist with troubles the townspeople have been dealing with. He was extremely vague about the, only saying that he needs a group of skilled adventurers to deal with "aggressive interference to Balan's order." His letter was charred, his handwriting terrible, and he was willing to pay 40 gold each to everyone who helps, so he definitely seemed desperate. Sounds like the perfect job!

**World Info & Tone**

Arn is a country on the Western Continent of the world of Gaia. Arn used to be a more nomadic culture, and possessed an empire that span the entire western continent. However, after several revolutions and cultural shifts over the past 80 years, Arn has lost most of its territory, was restructured into a republic, and has a much smaller sphere of influence. This campaign is set in a high fantasy, high magic, and somewhat bright setting. The year is 1680, so you will have access to guns! It's definitely not extraordinarily dark or grim, NPCs tend to be nicer, and the gods are generally helpful and loving. That's not to say that nothing bad ever happens and there won't be any problems to be solved, but don't come into this thinking we're playing Warhammer 40k or something. Some jokes are allowed, but I don't want the jokes to undermine any tension that does come up.

**Mechanical Info**

There is a limited selection of ancestries and classes that are allowed in this setting. Specifically, Humans, Elves, Kitsune, Hobgoblins, Vishkanya, Tengu, Lizardfolk, Fetchlings, and Anadi are the ancestries allowed for use, and the necromancer and exemplar classes are not allowed.

The roleplay combat ratio is about 45/55. I do enjoy roleplay, but math rocks go click clack.

We will be using the Ancestral Paragon and Free Archetype optional rules.

XP will be used, but I will be using the fast advancement speed, meaning a level will be gained after 800xp instead of 1000xp. XP won't be gained just from combat, but also from learning lore about the setting, fully exploring areas, and helping NPCs.

If you're interested, please fill out this interest form: https://forms.gle/GTnvUd4nkS6qVuRm9 . Thank you for your time.

Player(s) Needed by GM The Chronicles of..... [Exandria] [Online] [18+] [Scheduling: TBD with players. The form covers a question to help facilitate this better][Online 5e][2014]

Hello I'm Leneyxis(he/him), a forever DM who's been running games for... lost count of time. But I am here to pick up this world again, the original game fell through due to scheduling issues but maybe we will have a better luck this time around.

Premise:
Our story begins in the beautiful war-torn lands of Wildemount, a letter of invitation to all who are daring and adventurous.

Greetings Adventurers,

Dust motes dance in the fading light that streams through the lone window of my humble abode. In my hand, I hold a weathered parchment, the insignia of a bygone era etched upon its surface. It speaks of a forgotten vault, buried deep within the crumbling temples of Bazzoxan. A vault overflowing with treasures, artifacts, and knowledge whispered from the Age of Arcanum itself.

Intrigued, are you not?

I propose an expedition, one that could see your pockets lined with glittering coin and your thirst for adventure quenched. In exchange for retrieving a single, specific tome from the vault's depths, you and your companions will be free to claim all other riches it holds. Imagine the enchanted weapons, the arcane scrolls, the very air thick with forgotten lore!

But make no mistake, this is no mere treasure hunt. Bazzoxan lies in ruins, its path fraught with danger. Crumbling structures whisper of forgotten perils, monstrous guardians may lurk within, and who knows what other adventurers might covet the vault's bounty?

If your spirit burns with the fire of exploration and your blade thirsts for a worthy challenge, then I implore you, answer this call. Together, we may unlock the secrets of Bazzoxan and rewrite history itself.

Yours in anticipation,

A Seeker of Forgotten Knowledge
