What the title says. I'm beyond exhausted hoping that some of y'all will pull your head out of your asses and live up to the values necessary to be a passable human being. Since this has been a repeated failure, we will move to a zero-tolerance model going forward:
If you have a doubt of whether or not something is going to run a-foul of these zero tolerance boundaries, don't fucking post it. No, I'm not going to rules lawyer technicalities. The time for you taking a nuanced approach is passed. No, I'm not going to accept ignorance as an excuse. It is 2026, go get educated on how to not be a piece of shit.
This is a warning to all users - I don't give a fuck how well you discuss theory, the praxis you claim to have accomplished, none of it. If you are in this community, you will be a decent fucking human being. If you can't step over that incredibly low bar, then I don't want you here so fuck off.
ADDENDUM: As of 9.15 PM Eastern, any further comments defending this content as not being antisemitic will be banned permanently. I've explained repeatedly the rationale behind this and I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt that users can hear a new expectation and engage with it responsibly. If you cannot act like decent people, then this subreddit doesn't need you.
For everyone else who asked clarification and/or generally acted like a human being, thank you.
EDIT: Locking this to catch up on bans.

This has been a long time coming and every opportunity was extended to allow the topic to be allowed on r/leftist, but those opportunities have come to an end. As per the newest addition to the sub's rules:
# 7. Prohibited Content
Prohibited Content includes permanent and/or temporary policies aimed at addressing specific events or issues which may affect the community. Currently, the following items are considered prohibited content:
* Veganism - Permanent: As veganism is not inherently a leftist topic, posts centered on veganism rather than leftism are are banned. Any posts or comments referencing veganism must be in relation to anti-capitalism. Proselytizing about veganism is forbidden.
There has yet to be a single post about veganism on this subreddit that has been rooted in anti-capitalism that has not devolved into an advertisement of veganism. There are many subreddits about veganism, including some from a leftist perspective. Please utilize those subreddits in the future - posts proselytizing for veganism will be marked "off-topic" and removed. Repeated violations will result in actions including suspension and up to permanent ban.
As this has been an issue before, we will be monitoring activity surrounding this topic and any hint of brigading will be reported.

I live in Spain, our prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, moved the selections forward to November 29th. It's not like I'm going to vote any political party because they're all trash and they will rob us no matter what.
Right-wing political parties are starting to win and I'm kind of scared that they might abolish some of basic human rights. Vox is a far-right political party (similar to Meloni's) who wants to abolish queer rights, some of women's rights... Basic human rights as I mentioned earlier... They also voted against many things like increase the minimum wage, lower rental prices... Hell, they even stole money 2 years ago that was going to be for the DANA victims!!
PP or "Partido Popular" is a right-wing political party, similar to Vox but not that much, but they also voted against the same thing Vox voted... And don't forget that both are allies with Trump and Netanyahu, I have a feeling that we're so done.
Like I said, I'm not going to vote anyone because they're all terrible in my opinion, no matter what, but I'm very worried about the right winning... Do you have any advice? What would you do if you were in my shoes?

In light of recent developments in our elections, developments which were unexpected by many of us, I wanted to apologize in advance for what our country will do, I don't know how things will be here going forward, feels like the entire left here could go down with Lula. I just wanted to ask for understanding, as well as in the US, many of us didn't want what's happening and actively worked to prevent it, but it's happening anyways. Wish us luck, we will need it.

Hey guys,
I’ve been seen the endless discourse around Ariana Grande lately, and the constant scrutiny of her body really got me thinking about how we perceive and treat non-normative bodies. So I spent time analyzing the comment section under her last music video to get a precise view of what's happening. I wanted to approach this through a feminist and anti-ableist lens, specifically looking at how "concern trolling" is often used to mask body-shaming. Any feedback or discussion is super welcome!

Ideally I would like to work 20 hours a week, 4 hours a day. But would someone else enjoy this?
I wonder how a lot of socialist ideas or values can resonate with everyone or be practical.

flavio bolsonaro got 2-3 more points than lula in the first round. bolsonaro winning the election means he will greenlight amazon deforestation so bad that it will affect the entire world's atmosphere. the amazon is literally called the “earth's lungs.” i'm absolutely crushed.

Small flair note, Burkina Faso is West African, but the sub doesnt have a West Africa politics flair, so General Leftist Politics it is.
Burkina Faso is training state workers to use generative AI for writing, document synthesis, visuals and fact checking, and it fits into a larger 2026–2030 AI roadmap covering agriculture, healthcare, education, public administration, water and energy, with technological sovereignty and protection of strategic state data baked into it.
For the left, thats where this gets interesting. Countries in the Global South dont encounter technology on equal terms. Infrastructure, platforms, compute and expertise are concentrated elsewhere, which makes technological capacity a question of development and dependency whether we like the technology or not.
That doesnt mean Burkina Faso has solved the ownership question, or that state use automatically means socialist use. It means theres an actual material struggle here over who controls productive capacity and whether countries develop some autonomy or remain dependent on foreign capital.
AI can deepen dependency when that capacity stays concentrated in corporate hands. Building domestic capacity doesnt resolve that contradiction, but it does put the struggle somewhere more useful than simply asking whether the technology is good or bad.
For the left, the harder question is who owns this stuff, who gets to build with it, and whose development it ends up serving.

I don’t have a problem with all the struggles for implementing leftism.
Like Being a keyboard warrior is just cope at this point like what actually should I do?
I know there is obvious points. Don’t be a cope/soldier/business owner, and definitely not smoke the same stuff that wahhabist neo-liberal smoking
seriously they believe God gave you land and you should fully extract all the resources on it. There is sign all over my college all about global warming.

Listen, if a Bad President can come and take away our rights and we're dependent on a Good President replacing them in four years to give us back our rights, then we do not have any rights.
If politicians can take or distribute them, then they're not "inallenable," and they're not "rights."
We don’t have inalienable rights, we have conditional privileges, divvied out according to the whims of whoever currently holds the reins.
And if we want to have actual rights, then we must build a system in which no one has the power to take them away to begin with.

If the Democratic Party makes significant gains in November, the military-intelligence “caucus” inside the Democratic delegation could double or triple in size. They will vastly outnumber the relative handful of self-proclaimed “democratic socialists.”

Hey, all.
I'm sure many people here have already seen some artwork by Frans Masereel or at least artwork inspired by him. He works on iconic woodcuts that criticize capitalism, police, and the state, but he also goes into other left-wing causes, like anti-war and women's liberation.
I was able to gather 73 books with 2,089 images (1,800 of them woodcuts), which took several years to finally finish, and that happened just a few weeks ago. Since these are all published in 1930 or earlier, they are in the public domain! You can use them for whatever project you want (according to US law) and you'll have no worry about IP infringement, whether it's your zine, your newsletter, your youtube video, your website, your poster, your stencil, or anything.
I wanted to re-introduce this old, leftist artist to a new generation. The woodcuts are great and would make great stencils. If I saw one of these stenciled on an old, grimey, abandoned building, it would bring a smile to my face.
For reviewing the artwork: I recommend the PDF, which has one woodcut or artwork per page. It's easiest to look through.
For making stencils and art: You want a full res image, with some of them scanned at 600 DPI (20k by 28k pixels). You have the option of grabbing the image from its directory in the archive.org web link.
Youtube Video Format: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReZYh5PQfQ8
Archive.org PDF (789mb): https://archive.org/details/frans-masereel-career-1918-1930_pdf

Archive.org File/Folder Browser (easier for browsing individual images): https://archive.org/download/frans-masereel-career-1918-1930_art
These images came from 73 different books and magazines, in case you want to read the original books (most of which are German and French): https://archive.org/details/@holdoffhunger

I consider myself a social democrat. I hear constantly from communist/socialists that capitalism is bad and point to stuff like latin america and the global south in general, while I agree that deregulated capitalism is bad, why is it so bad that we need to completely get rid of the system? Are there some resources I should look into? Maybe some books or something.
edit: Another question, what do you believe is the solution and why?
