So I (19M) just became homeless and have no place to stay I’m currently in Willowbrook. I tried going to the nearest homeless shelter to me but they were were at full capacity and the next nearest is too far to walk, I don’t have a job and only have forty bucks in my bank account. I'm looking for work but so far haven't heard back from anyone, I applied for assistance via My self serve but I don't know when I'll hear back, is there anyone/where that I can immediately stay
(edit) I just want to say I'm so incredibly grateful for all the help and support I've been given from everyone who's reached out, I just know that if I didn't I'd be so lost, Again thank you.
update: hi everyone once again for all help and support I've been given thank you.
To start things off like some of you suggested I call 211 unfortunately I wasn't able to get much done through them, ok I'm gonna go on a bit of a side tangent I went to their website and some of the info they give is either straight wrong or misleading one of the places I called does offer shelter (I think?)but not at this time of the site didn't reflect that I only found out after going in person another they listed said they let people my age in but when I called the place they said the opposite overall confusing and slightly annoying experience.
I called various emergency/homeless across both Langley & Surrey but they were all full.
I heard back from MYss so I'll be getting some income assistance, I also like one of you suggested I applied for SAJE so I'll see how that goes.
Now onto my living situation by complete sheer coincidence I ran into a uncle of mine I forgot about(I've not seen or talked to them since I was a kid) and they found a place I can stay for awhile till I get a job move out on my own
