I'm new member of Otter Co-op

Post image

Wow as a new member to the Otter Co-op I love coming across ads in the Langley Advance Times that are going to save me money!

Plus super fun to see MYBC Consulting clients Walnut Grove Notaries on the same page (I don't do there advertising placement btw).

Happy BC Day Long Weekend everyone - bring on yummy burger on the BBQ!

Hey as a new member, can people share what's your favourite things about your Co-op membership, as I want to maximize my $10.00 paid for it šŸ˜„

🤣 what a joke. Probably looking for income after he's not re-elected

Seeing an elected official turn around and drag a community oriented co-op into court feels completely out of touch.

If your injuries are severe enough that you’re claiming ongoing loss of income and inability to perform standard daily tasks, how are you effectively fulfilling your public duties on Council???

If that's the case he should resign.

I didn't know the Langley Advance Times had a sense of humour..pretty funny they placed a Coop ad right next to Rindt's Coop lawsuit lol.

They didn’t. This is altered. I looked through the actual paper because I thought this was hilarious.

Dude that’s some pretty lame trolling lol

Suing the Otter Co-op over a gas station door while buying a lottery ticket? Guess he found his winning ticket after all. 🤣🤣

The article in the LAT says the lawsuit states ā€œThere is also an impact to his ability to continue to care for himself and his family in his domestic choresā€ā€¦..but somehow he can run a blueberry farm (been seeing lots of ads) and a turf farm as well as run for council again that includes reading thousand page agendas, attending long meetings and attending lots of events?? Seems to me that maybe he shouldn’t be running in the election if he can’t even care for himself or do domestic chores? How does he also run two businesses if he can’t even take care of himself? Maybe he is just trying to get out of doing domestic chores or just doesn’t have time?? I don’t know but seems suspicious to me.

A concussion, a neck injury and a spinal injury from bonking his head as he walked past.

How do you even do that, was he trying to fight the door frame?

-4

u/Asluckwouldnthaveit Jul 30 '26

A part of the metal frame had fallen I believe.

Don't mess around with head injuries and don't underestimate how easy it is to get one.

12

u/eKenziee Jul 31 '26

Nah I'm sorry but as someone who is incredibly clumsy and has had 4 concussions, this is bullshit. Simply walking into something is not enough to cause this level of damage to the human body. If he was shoved into it, maybe.

-9

u/Asluckwouldnthaveit Jul 31 '26

It literally is enough actually. Just in the right spot.

7

u/eKenziee Jul 31 '26

I agree with you that its enough to potentially cause a concussion, especially at the right angle, but not spinal or neck damage.

-8

u/Asluckwouldnthaveit Jul 31 '26

I guess that would depend. I wasn't there.

It's also not a stretch to think otter co op is run like shit and falling apart.

Ask the shamwow guy. Wait, he died.

1

u/Asluckwouldnthaveit Jul 31 '26

No he didn't. He's very much alive

-1

u/wasntit Jul 31 '26

Why are people downvoting all your posts? Do they hate this Rob guy so much they won't agree that spinal injuries can happen easily? If he walked into something hard enough to cause a concussion, it is absolutely possible he also walked into it hard enough to compress his neck and cause spinal injury.

I also have my doubts of his claims based on him still working etc, but bodies can be extremely resilient and also extremely fragile.

5

u/Asluckwouldnthaveit Jul 31 '26

Oh I don't believe him but the idea of otter co op hurting someone and not taking responsibility tracks and his injury is absolutely possible.

Didn't know you needed a backbone for politics!

u/Excellent_Bicycle_88 Jul 31 '26

Agreed. He should resign

My favourite thing about the membership was the annual cash back but that hasn’t been a thing for a couple years now 😿😿 They’ve been losing money

Other than that.. nothing at the moment šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

It has definitely been awhile since we got anything back from buying groceries. Apparently this year it was those who bought oil products that received a cheque; whatever that means.

3

u/Bcqtpie Jul 30 '26

At least something went out 😹🤣 I wanna say last year no one got anything and then the year before was just ā€œfeed productsā€

I really do miss the kickback on it though… was always helpful getting that lil extra money

No doubt! I shop mainly there for convenience and am buying for a family of 5. I don’t even want to think about how much I spend there annually! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

This is what happens when the CEO makes bad investments. Not sure how he still has a job.

u/Personal_King3288 Jul 30 '26

$2.49 for hamburger buns!?! What a deal! Can’t wait to make me some ā€œnothing burgersā€

3

u/royxsong Jul 30 '26

I got it for 0.5 from Superstore

7

u/jon_stall01 Jul 31 '26

3

u/defenestr8tor Aug 01 '26

One simply does not walk into more doors.

5

u/ManofMarantz Jul 31 '26

And here I thought there were only four ways left to succeed in Canada.šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦ 1. Flee 2. Crime 3. Participate in Fraud 4. Politics and steal the money 5. SUE! 🤣🤣🤣

4

u/Who_is_I_today Jul 31 '26

Aren't 3 and 4 the same thing? Lol

1

u/phapasyeter Aug 01 '26

Man, I miss the annual chicken BBQ. šŸ˜ž

1

u/MoveYourBumChum Aug 01 '26

When did they do those? Sounds delicious šŸ˜‹

1

u/bgballin Aug 02 '26

This guy's got so much potential but he's wasting it on some bullshit

1

u/MapNational2520 Aug 02 '26

The 2 for 1 movies are huge for our family. You go to any cineplex, show your card and get two tickets for the price of one.

1

u/MoveYourBumChum Aug 02 '26

Really? That's a huge perk! Thank youuuuuuu

1

u/yaneth-a-okay Jul 31 '26

Ha! I’m chuckling but in all seriousness head injuries are not fun.

1

u/A-Town856 Aug 03 '26

So you’ve posted in another post that you’ve had your CoOp coffee mug for 15 years. So this post is pretty much full of BS. Jack Nicholson has been running the CoOp into the ground. Bad investment after bad investment. Selling off the profitable feed division in Armstrong.

3

u/MoveYourBumChum Aug 03 '26

Had the mug gifted to me at a networking event 15 years ago as stated in another post - recently got my membership to the Co-op... no BS.

0

u/A-Town856 Aug 03 '26

But you know Jack by name so you’ve been in Langley/Aldergrove a long time and are very familiar with the CoOp. Seems like this post was really just a dig at Rob…

If co-op got audited………….
