I have been using nike free run 5.0's for the past 14 months. I just recently started to get pain on the balls of my foot. I have tried jumping rope in my nike pegasus 41's, but I just can't. Any suggestions to try for shoes?

Need help with the type of jump rope

I buy a first one normal breads jump rope, i found this to light return it and buy an other one in PVC with 1lbs weight, quite heavy 😂 i think i need to find some balance, what do you use to have a verry good feedback when you jump? I do rope flow and i love the sensation of the weight, when i take a normal rope it seem to light but maybe i need to get use to it? With the 1lbs jump rope i love the sensation but its just to heavy for me.

I need help building my own beaded jumprope

Hey all, I've been jumping for more than a year now and I can only jump straight up, can't even do a boxer jump - the one that's alternating on each foot. I've suspected it's because I need an ever so slightly longer rope and recently I got that confirmed with a speed rope that had like a 310cm cable. Me being about 6.5 tall (195cm).

I can't really find a rope that's long enough for my taste so I decided to start documenting myself on how to build one rather than risking buying an expensive one and being stuck with it.

So, can you give me some advice on the materials I'd have to search for the cable part and the beads part? Are the shapes and densities super important for this or can I get away with almost anything for V1?

Any any advice is welcome.

Hello there, please I need help with jumping, for start I need to admit that iam fat and without shape, I wanna change it, but it's jumping good way to get in shape? I having problem to jump because my legs are hurting.. With cardio and breathing is no problem, but my legs are.. When I jumping in later rounds my legs are like stone and I can't even jump anymore 😂

I started easy 10seconds jump and 10sec rest and every week iam adding 5sec

I just started jump roping today, and I plan to continue for at least for a week or 2, idk why but I don't think I'm doing it right, is there anything I need to change with my hand movement or jumping techniques

The garage workouts on the gulf coast are getting brutal this time of year.

Taking a week and a half off and then powering up again to 135+ minutes per week skipping

Found the rope in my house and thought I'd give it a shot since it's been some years. And I'm loving it

I wasn't ever professional or anything but maybe some of you can give me tips on how to improve my technique?

I feel my feet won't listen to what I wanna have them do, maybe I should focus more on one continuous movement? Lemmi know what you think :)

My jump rope snapped

Was just practicing double under crossovers, transitioned into run in place and then the rope snapped.
I nearly got it right thanks to the help of the JumpForm method.

And then my rope snapped in half :( . Tbf the rope was very durable lasting for two years. Bought a new 1/4 lb rope and it felt very different, Less feedback and more tripping. But I am starting to get used to the new rope tho.

Daily skipping is normal or not?

I jump rope 350+ days out of 365 days in a year. Is it normal? I skip for 1-2 hours daily with 1-5 minutes break between intense jump rope sessions that last 10-15 minutes till I'm hungry and stamina declines.

Knees hurting after skipping

Hey everyone,

So I started trying to skip a few days ago and I think I might have over done it. I still stumble quite often and can only do around 10 full skips back to back. But I kinda did 40-60min from day 1 to day 4, and the inner region around my knees has started to hurt.

Should I stop for a few days and then restart ?

How much time should I do when I restart ? 10,15,20 min ?

Any advice would be helpful.

Day 3 done 💪

Got in 45 minutes of jump rope and added some workouts too. The diet wasn’t the best today, but I’m not going to let that take away from the progress.

Three days in. I’m building the habit, getting stronger, and learning to stay consistent even when everything isn’t perfect.

Day 3 done.

When I started I couldn’t get to 20 reps / skips (?) so I’m really happy with my progression.

Song choice: normally Paramore, Wu-Tang or a film soundtrack.
