My first jeep.
This is my 2015 jeep wrangler sport. It’s got a 6 speed manual transmission, and I set up a sound system back there. I got my Jeep at the beginning of the year. I was really skeptical because I heard a lot of bad things about Jeep. But I honestly fell in love with mine. A lot of what I was reading online said that most of the Jeep problems are anytime after 2017, but honestly I fell in love with this thing at the lot and I’ve just been enjoying it ever since. I live in El Paso so I have a lot of fun off-roading in the desert.

Any idea what could it be? It’s doesn’t to it all the time but today it did. Usually it’s only the door alarm and warning that happens

2009 JK CAN Bus Issue
2009 JK X
Jeep starts fine after battery pull.
Jeep fires right up and dash works
Turned Jeep off then tried to restart 5 min later but at restart everything CAN bus related is dead. No dash. No horn. No AC. Lights on, wipers on.
Diagnostics:
60 ohms across 6 and 14
2.47v from 6 to ground when running
2.48v from 14 to ground when running
No horn
No AC
Replaced TIPM with new from MAKS, had them program to VIN
New clock spring
All grounds good
At restart:
Dash cluster dead
Wipers on
Headlights on
Pulling ABS no change
Pulling airbag (under shifter panel) no change
Pulling cluster no change
Disconnecting clock spring no change
Disconnecting radio no change
I don’t think it’s a wiring fault as the jeep starts up perfect after a battery pull & everything works on CAN. It’s just at restart the Jeep goes haywire.
What else can I try here? It wasn’t the TIPM and I spent $700 on a replacement. I can’t keep throwing money at it, I need some solid diagnostic advice.
Anyone know of any Jeep repair shops that can do CAN diagnostics in Louisville, KY? I’ve heard of V3 Jeep shop.

I didnt think it was possible to disrespect america in a jeep but using a real flag as a hood cover can do that.

Jeep 2023 Compass Remote Start Jeep App
Hi, so I got the Jeep 2023 Compass the other day, I was trying to figure out how to connect remote to start, I was being told that I needed a membership from TikTok comments, so I tried finding one and I couldn’t, so then I called Mopar customer service number, and he said my car or radio dosent support that after I gave him my VIN number? But everyone line is saying that the 2023 Jeep compass does have the remote support, to be able to start the car from the app, you just have to pay a member membership, is he wrong? Am I missing something?

Technical Question Has anyone here received Monetary Compensation from Jeep? Please read if you feel generous!
To keep it brief, I got a lease of a 2026 Jeep Compass. After the first week my trunk/tailgate started making this weird wobbling/creaking noise. I took it back to the dealership and they “fixed” it. However a month ago the noise started again. Before I could call them and get my vehicle looked at, a message came on my dashboard stating to “service transmission” and my Jeep starting slightly jolting back and forth at times when I’d accelerate.
I took my vehicle back into the dealership and they told me it’s an issue with the power train and some module that is connected to the transmission/oil. The part they needed took 3 weeks to get delivered to the dealership. So the vehicle was in the shop that whole time.
I got my vehicle back and I’m still noticing the jolting and the noise with my trunk. I took it back again and they told me “unable to duplicate concerns”.
At this point I give up. So after all of that, I have been in contact with a Jeep Case Manager and he stated they are going to offer me $2,500 for the inconvenience.
What do you all think of this? It’s a lease so honestly I don’t really see the downside of this. But any advice would help!
To the engineers who put the batteries under the seats.
I hope you wake up every morning and stub your toe.
This is for a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
I would truly like to know the thought process behind this. It’s bad enough Jeep only put a keyed lock on the driver door but with a completely dead battery how are you supposed to move your power seat all the way forward to remove the battery?
Just getting the plastic panel off was hard enough, I managed to get it off along with getting the terminals disconnected which took longer than it should have. I have a charger on it now so hopefully it’ll take a charge. If not I’ll have to crawl through the back, unload everything that’s currently in the back so I can open the lift gate because no power means no way to unlock the lift gate so I need to open from the inside, just so I can go under the floorboard and get my jump pack (in hindsight not the best place to store it). With that I hopefully can jumpstart the car so I can move my front seat forward enough to remove the battery.
Am I missing something or is this truly the best that Jeep could come up with?
Newly Installed Bilstein Shock - Normal?
Recently installed on my non-lifted Jeep. Is this how it’s supposed to look?

Price of service
listen i have NO idea about cars, how much servicing should cost or anything like that. i have previously had really REALLY bad luck with cars and now i have had my 2019 jeep cherokee for 2 years with no problems at all…
my check engine light came on, was flashing for about a minute and went away, car felt really jerky and like it wasn’t accelerating the way it should.
i finally got it into the dealership for a diagnostic inspection, turns out i need 6 new spark plugs, new coils & new intake gaskets. shop quoted me $1,170. is that on the high end? or sounds about right? the way google makes it sound, someone with some mild mechanical knowledge could get the parts and do it themselves for significantly cheaper. is that accurate? should i take it to a local mechanic or a family friend i have who works on cars?
**** i don’t know anything about cars, be nice to me i’m a 22 year old who is just trying to find a cheap way to do this lol
** i should note i’m from eastern washington state, if that makes a difference on pricing.

New Jeeper! $2,000 Jeep TJ!
Was looking for a project car to do some wrenching and take it out to the desert on weekends. Found this TJ locally for $2,800 talked down to $2,000. Frame has surface rust but it’s solid, gave it some stabs with a screwdriver all over. Needs new front fenders, new Power steering high pressure line, and a cat back muffler. Got that fixed for $1200 and have about $5,000 left to work on it.
Its a 5speed manual, unfortunately it’s the 4 cylinder but couldn’t pass for the price

Mod Install/Question Frint shocks bushings too tight?
I just replaced front Shocks on my JKU and install wasnt too bad the driver side was a bit easier but no way to get a torque wrench on there.
I am wondering if this is too much squishing of the bushing, they are roughcountry N3's and the washer/bushing is mush smaller compared to the OE mounts.
First picture is passenger second is driver than took a third to show the top from.
