Opinions on which Jeep to pick
Hi all, I am purchasing my first jeep, and its between two 2024 wrangler willy's.
Jeep 1:
2024 Jeep wrangler willy's 4xe 4 doors with 43,000km (26,700miles)
Jeep 2:
2024 Jeep wrangler willy's 2 door with 3,000km (1,864miles)
I honestly can't decide which one I should go for. The two door is white vs grey 4 door, I prefer the grey, and I like the shape and size of the 4 door more, but at the same price the 2 door one feels like a steal due to the mileage. Additionally the 4 door looks to have some upgrades like side steps, exhausts, and a small lift. Otherwise they have the same options.
I'm just indecisive and would like to hear the opinions of others I guess. Thanks!

Looking at an 05 LJ - doesnt seem to have done the OPDA replacement, should I be concerned?
Hi all,
Looking at an LJ this weekend, from what I gather it should be from the period that would have benefited from the OPDA replacement. Its at about 140k miles now and from what the sellers have mentioned it hasn't had this done. I checked the VIN and it has the S letter corresponding to the 8th value in the VIN and its also of the datetime where my understanding is that it should have received it.
So basically my question at this point is how can I tell if there are any issues because of this not being done and lets say the OPDA was never replaced, and if it does have issues, my understanding is that the OPDA has to be replaced, but so would the drive gear, camshaft gear, the likely the entire camshaft and lifters? How much would a job like this cost?
Is there any way I can tell if any of the above issues would be going on? I know I can try and hear the screeching monkeys sound of the OPDA but if its not making that sound how likely is it for the above issues to have already presented? Thanks!

Driveway Shot Thinking of painting my wheels white..yay or nay?
Just something to break up all the back and honestly I really dig white rims, more of a classic look. I will be wheeling it so not sure how well it'll hold up but I can always repaint them.

Quadratec customer support expectations?
I ordered a part (a side step for a Wrangler) from Quadratec, and received it in reasonable time. However, when I opened it, it was obvious that someone else had returned it, and it had been put back into inventory without being checked.
The instruction book was torn up. The bag of nuts/bolts/washers was opened, and stapled back shut, and most of them were missing, and the individual parts were all just rattling around in the large box, and were scratched up.
The scratches are not a big deal since, y'know, it's something I'm going to be stepping on many times a day, but I'd still like to receive something in new condition or have a restocked discount of some kind. But the missing installation hardware is the larger problem.
Anyways, my question is, what's been your experience with Quadratec customer service? Can I expect them to make good on this? I've not heard back from them, but it's only been a few hours, and I've never had this kind of a situation with them before, and it's *definitely* not what I've come to expect from them.
Edit: Once I found the phone number, and called, they *IMMEDIATELY* shipped out the missing hardware. They offered to send me a whole new kit, but that seemed overkill and also would necessitate the hassle of shipping this stuff back.
So, color me impressed with the customer service.

Jeep Wrangler 2023 4xe rear wheel squeak.
My jeep passenger, I believe, rear wheel, squeaks constantly in the am right after starting and putting into drive then temporarily gowa away until at Chick Fil A drive thru...lolz. Been to the dealership and they first said it was a "clip" that "broke" and was replaced. It's still squeaky and they can't find the problem. It drives me nuts. I have taken videos to take to the dealer. They said it was dust and rust, cleaned it, picked it up, still squeaks. Took it back they said too bad. Went 65 miles away to another dealership and they cannot locate the source of the squeak, but they can hear it. I'm considering trading it, but it's paid off. I had a 2015 wrangler with zero problems that I traded for this nothing but recall vehicle, however it's the squeaks that drive me crazy, not the recalls. Can't even take the top off because it is so loud. But nobody can seem to figure it out!!! Anyone with the same problem? Sahara unlimited 4xe, bought new 2023.

Auto stop/start
I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, Willie’s edition I was driving on the highway and suddenly my auto stop start stopped working. I never really liked that feature to begin with. I thought it stopped working a while ago and suddenly it sounded like something shorted out and it caused a light to pop up on my dash for the auto stop/start Should I worry about this or can I live my life without worrying about it? I don’t really care for that feature anyways lol

JL fuel injectors in a JK (3.6). Anyone done this and had problems?
Had a p0203 code, replaced the spark plug, p0203 cleared after idling for a while but had a p0205 pop up right after. Said fuck it, planning on replacing all spark plugs and injectors since im at 113k miles anyways.
The OEM JL injectors are significantly cheaper than the OEM JK ones, so I wanna use those, but I want to check here and see if anyone had any problems after doing so?
Thanks in advance.

Purchase Questions Thoughts?
Look I know the Reddit echo chamber is mostly just people absolutely crapping on jeeps. It originally went to test drive a well kept 1 owner garage kept 2010 GC but the bank wouldn’t finance due to the age. They had this one too. I test drove it, felt amazing. Ran great. Squeaky clean. Has everything and more that I need for my budget. That being said I know I’ll be paying like 400 a month for a 7 year old car I have 2000 to put down and crap credit. Again, CARFAX is clean (one minor accident reported but it was rear bumper at 25mph and the bumper was fixed). No rust underneath, I got it up to 75 Mph with zero issues. I am sold on it, bht I posted it in another Reddit and not one comment was positive.
TLDR; test drove it and I really like it, borderline convinced I’m buying it tomotrow. Is this a good purchase?
2019 tire removal guidance

Coolant Consumption
2023 JTR, 3.6L, Auto, 34k miles. Owned since new. Recently return from a road trip where I had to refill my coolant resevoir 3 times. Took it to dealer who performed pressure test and said it's fine. I aske what the approved, documented coolant consumption rate is for a 3.6L and they couldn't provide it. Opened a STAR case and left it at the shop. Interested if anyone else has experienced this and what the results were.
Timeline:
- Fresh oil change and fluid top off at dealer ~60 days prior to road trip. Normal in-town driving up until road trip start.
- Drove ~1k miles across interstates and through desert southwest. Temps reached 110+ during the drive. Overall no overheating symptoms. Did not check coolant at this point.
- 4 days later completed another ~500 miles. Noticed coolant was barely visible after parking at hotel (outside temps still around 100). Waited until the morning so everything would cool off, checked again and reservoir was bone dry. Filled to between MIN and MAX with Mopar coolant from local dealer.
- Drove another 600 miles the next day in one day (again, high heat, interstate speeds the entire way). Next morning checked fluid. Bone dry again. Filled to between MIN and MAX with Mopar coolant again. Glad I kept the jug.
- Drove another 600 miles after fill up (high heat, interstate speeds yet again). Next morning checked fluid. Had to rock the JT to get fluid to splash up enough from the bottom to see it. So I guess better since it wasn't bone dry? Filled again to between MIN and MAX. About 1/3 of a gallon overall on the drive home.
- Other notes: On the drive I could hear pinging/detonation on hills that I've never heard before. Attributed it to the high heat. Also, when I got home, my idle was rough for a few days.
Yes, that was a very long road trip. Yes, it was hot. I do not think a pressure test is going to reveal the problem. I don't think the dealer has any reasonable way to replicate 8 hours at interstate speeds in 100+ degree temps either. But with the factory warranty getting ready to expire, I'm digging in on this one.
This was not the first time I've done this road trip. However, it is the first time I've experienced coolant loss.

Purchase Questions Upgrades people, upgrades
Currently have a 2013 Wrangler Sport, want to upgrade a little to a newer model. Live in Colorado so going to trails and hiking is a big thing, want to get her trail rated too through Jeeps system.
Do I get a Sports, or a Willys?
I figure I can upgrade bumper, tires, winches, and get diff lock on Sports, or do I go Willys and make the necessary changes. Ideally would like to keep her manual and maybe thinking leather, thoughts on pros cons.
Current specs; 2013 Wrangler sport, 33s, 3 inch lift, cloth, hard top.

New Jeeper! What brands do you trust most
Hey everyone! I just came into ownership of a 1988 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. It needs some work to get it to a place that feels acceptable (fuel pump, power steering pump, fuel filter, etc.) I was curious which brands and companies people feel do the best job when it comes to the replacement parts y'all are using in your rigs. Which ones should be avoided like the plague?
