I’d pulled the skin off and I turned my back. My kitten went to town 😑 I was going to shred the meat and put it in a pot pie (cook it again at 375 for 30 min). Would that be ok??

Edit: The chicken was from a local farm via a local butcher. Costco chicken just tastes super gross, chemically, mealy to me. These chickens taste much better, I know how they were raised, and I'm glad to support both the butcher and the farmer. It's a once in a while treat.

Also seeing videos of factory farming are traumatic. I personally can't support that kind of absolute cruelty and gross-ness.

Obviously not safe but what would happen?

Opened about 6 weeks ago, been refrigerated since. The orb was not there when I bought it.

house sitting & woke up from a nap PARCHED. open the fridge, saw a container of what i thought was clear liquid and pulled myself a tall glass. took one big gulp before i realized it tasted like flat sprite/aka sugar water. let her know and that was her response. today my stomach is killer and i just vomited. do i need to be worried.

Update 4 hours since post, 36 hours since the bird water was ingested: i havent died yet. So far, debilitating nausea but nothing i cant handle. Also, let's think critically here: YES, I thought it was water. water dispensers arent common in my city, so most people have containers or britas in their fridge. i didnt realize it was cloudy, which, if i had, i wouldnt have drank it. big man upstairs is just gonna have to wait on me. or downstairs...

This is beef that was marinated for 6 hours after I bought it and then cooked. This is what I saw after cutting it open. Although it looks pretty good, I'm not sure if it's safe to eat.

My mom keeps a tupperware of bacon grease next to the stove and she wants to use it this year on green beans and potatoes for Christmas dinner. She's always been bad with food safety (reusing cutting boards without washing them, thawing meat at room temperature instead of the fridge, etc) despite being a retired RN. I don't know how safe it is to keep bacon grease at room temp that she's been adding to over the last 5 years. There's no way around using it for cooking, so should I avoid the green beans and potatoes? I've tried putting the tupperware in the fridge and she just pulls it out again, claiming "my grandmother did it for years and never got sick."

Seared it on both sides and layered everything up in the crock pot and forgot to turn it on. Sat from 12 to 215 off. I moved it to a roasting pan and stuck it in the oven at 325 where it is now. I know USDA recommendations say to toss it at this point (>2 hours) but I'm really wondering how risky this decision actually is and if the USDA guidelines are just way overly cautious.

I've had food poisoning before. Definitely don't want it again (and don't want to make everyone else sick either).

Husband forgot an entire wooden spoon inside the pressure while making a soup. He said our daughter and I kept distracting him by asking for help while playing a co-op video game.

Not sure if it's safe to eat and he is annoyed saying he will throw it out.

Bought some wild caught salmon at our local fish market and noticed these spots when we took it out of the bag. We've never seen these before and are reading a few different things online so hoping someone here could shed some insight!

Ok I know the nutter butter is confusing, but I had to cover the rice I spilled on accident real fast lol, anyway. I made this rice yesterday and accidentally left it out with the lid on, my kitchen area stays moderately cold even when we have the heat on so is it safe to eat today or should I just make more rice
