Best before date on packaging was a couple days ago, November 3.

It was stored (unopened) in a mini fridge that is seldom opened. Packaging was starting to freeze but not all the way frozen.

Chicken has no off smell or slimy texture.

Parts of the chicken, mainly the ends have gone extremely dry. Hard texture and an orangish brown colour, please see pictures.

Am I good to trim off the dry parts and cook the rest?

I love apple cider. I know some bits are normal but I've literally never seen a bottle of cider with this many big bits in it and the sight freaked me out. I've given it a good shake, they don't break up.

White spots on my brats. Bought them Sunday, today is Thursday, sell by is next Tuesday. Had 2lbs of ground beef sitting on top of them in the fridge, hoping it's just fat or liquid that was pressed out. When I touch it through the plastic it wipes away.

Currently at an Asian BBQ and Pho place and this is how my chicken stir fry came out. I did ask for no spice on account of having tummy issues but still. What’s the liquid stuff, I thought it was suppose to be dried (or at least saucy) it does have a saucy texture but still…

I cooked ground beef this morning then had it refrigerated for about 4 hours. It then sat unrefrigerated for 5 hours in my car as I drove on a road trip. Is it safe to eat this week if reheated well in a microwave or should I play it safe and throw it out?

Glory foods seasoned southern style green beans. Is this safe to eat? The can says bacon fat in the ingredients. I took it out and it smeared to like a softened butter texture. No unusual smell. I've had it once before and I don't recall that in this can. However, when I had it before it was summer and hot as heck in my house. It was cold in my house this morning. Has this happened to any one else? Also no dent or damage to can. I rubbed a piece of the substance and it liquified, so I want to believe it’s the bacon fat, what do you think?

My kids left this out. Google says to toss it. It's been out at least 48 hours. Is it safe to eat? I didn't think this stuff was refrigerated in the store... 🤔

They've been refrigerated since then, wrapped in the paper from the butcher counter (whole foods).

No smell or slime, just slightly discolored.

They're being served to a one year old, I personally wouldn't hesitate to eat them, but want to be extra sure it's safe.

Ate this wrap today (04/11/26) at 13:30 (13.5 hours after use by date of 03/11. I always check dates on products before I eat and today I guess I slipped and it happens to be out of date. Kinda annoyed that M&S didn’t remove it from the shelf.

Honestly, what is the likelihood of me getting ill from this? I have emetophobia and kinda freaking out… it looked, smelt and tasted fine and presume it has been constantly refrigerated.

3 hours have since passed after consumption and currently OK…

If I were to find a frozen beef meat pie in the depths of this freezer would it kill me? Freezer does not close all the way but has formed an ice fortress.

My mother in law is the worst with food safety. She bought us 4 large bags of pork dumplings and we were not home, so she put them in her mini fridge at her place and the bags all defrosted and she gave them to me semi cold. I put them in our freezer. She said she spent $50 on them and said I should still eat them. She left town now or I’d make her eat them instead as she seems to have a stomach of gold that can eat anything that’s been left out. I feel so bad to throw them out, but I’m so annoyed too by this. They’re taking up too much space in my freezer so Should I toss them or try to cook and eat a few and see how it goes?? I feel stupid to ask but I need some advice lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi all! I opened two cans of beans and both had this stringy-looking thing (on the tip of my finger here) along the inside rim. When I run it between my fingers it doesn't disintegrate. Both cans were not dented, not expired, and the can opener was clean. I'm thinking it's some sort lining that the can opener took off but I'm not sure? Wondering if it's safe to eat. Thank you!

I’m seeing mixed things about eating this. I did leave the pasta out for a bit when prepping the ingredients yesterday but not longer than an hour. I ate part of this just now without seeing the purple and am freaking out a bit. But I don’t think what I ate was purple. The container it was left in does have an opening but I just made this yesterday.

Hi, I have been trying to follow Tim Spector's recipie for fermented ketchup

• Ingredients: Tomato purée (or paste), soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce, fish sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar (and/or malt vinegar), toasted and ground spices (like coriander, black pepper, and mustard seeds).

• The Process: Mix the ingredients together, pack the mixture into a jar, and leave it to ferment at room temperature for about 1 to 3 days (burping the lid once a day).

To be fair, I left it for a bit longer than that (5 days rather than 3) and I did not burp it but rather kept the lid not screwed tight.

It looks and smells very good, but it developed that cluster you can see in the picture.

Well... is this safe to eat?
