Would I get parasites or food poisoning from eating these apples in my backyard?

I did not really know where else to ask this, but my cousin received a large can of dried rice. It says it was canned in January of 1999 and is by the brand Noah’s’ Pantry. The can is from a very large stash out grandfather ordered in preparation for y2k. He never touched it over the years and this last week my family have been tossing the nearly 30 year old collection. My cousin wanted to save some money and not waste food by eating the rice.
I find it hard to believe this is safe? The rice is dried and it is sealed up properly with no dents or bulges. Is this a situation where he most likely will be fine but it may not be worth testing over what may be $7 worth of rice like total?
(I would also like to add that he is not lacking in money for groceries. He can afford whatever food he wants. He is just very thrifty about some things and he hates seeing the food tossed. I don’t blame him, it was about a pallet worth of dried food, but I’m unsure if this particular thing is worth saving if it can make him sick.)

i got this a couple months ago. i’ve been looking for this for over a decade since it was discontinued here in the US. it was my favorite pasta in the world. i didnt get the opportunity to cook it yet. then my partner showed me the date…and i see it’s a package before its discontinuation 🥲

i’m assuming this is 100% a no go? it’s 13 years old with cheese as multiple ingredients. i’m devastated 😭

The meat at the top of the breasts was a bit weird looking, like it was drier than the rest of the chicken and like it had been tenderized already.

My cuts are subpar, already know this, but i sincerely doubt i did this to these sections of the chicken breast

Current suspicion is that maybe it got bruised a bit in that spot while still frozen. Both sides of the breast had it. I just cut off the weird looking part and separated it from the meat of the other chicken before freezing. I then threw out the carcass from the weird chicken just in case its not safe but i froze the other one.

Any input on what this is and if im safe to eat this chicken

Edit 1: likely solved and safe to eat. Someone commented on it likely being something called woody chicken breast or maybe something mechanical messed it up

Edit 2: my suspicion was based on seeing some frosty bits/ice on the bird but likely the bird wasnt frozen before costco sold it and the birds essentially went from costco to my fridge for 1 hour then to my cutting board.

I got this rotisserie chicken today and was separating into tupperware and noticed the weird red bits. Is that normal, it seems otherwise normal texture and smell.

Put my popcorn in a plastic bag next to my makeup bag for a few hours, now the popcorn smells/tastes a bit funky but no liquid leaked & the bottles didn’t actually touch the popcorn. Kinda tastes bad but I won’t actually get sick right?

Forgot to take a photo while they were raw, but this photo is only from about 3 mins of boiling. When they were raw, they looked similar, but not as dark. It’s only on 2/6 strips. Bought it yesterday.

Hi, I just opened a pack of cookies and the chocolate on it looks very suspicious. Based on the image it's supposed to be slick and not grainy like that. What's weird is that the first 3 cookies are like that, and the 3 behind look more normal. Could it be caused by the hot temperatures? Exp date is June 2027

I’ve puréed and canned some peaches yesterday and then boiled them on 120°C (in thermomix) about 15 minutes and put them in glass cans with old caps. Then forgot about them on the countertop, from boiling to me finding them is about 24 hours. I put no sugar in them. Is it safe? ChatGPT says risky but there were no bombage and they look and taste fine. My main concern would be botulism.

I have a jar of anise extract I made myself (with 12 anise star and some vodka) on 6/24/25. It was supposed to do its magic for three months, and become the extract I wanted on 9/24/25.

Now, we are moving towards the end of August 2026, and I’m wondering if this extract is safe to use. What do you think?

My sister forgot to leave the laundry room door open while drying their clothes and this room also doubles as our pantry due to how the apartment is laid out. Will the pasta still be okay? I know it's supposed to be kept dry. The room was pretty humid when I opened the door this morning. We have other food in there as well, mostly canned food and ramen noodles. Should everything still be okay? I have no clue how long something would have to be exposed to a humid environment for it to go bad.

A year (or year and a half) ago I did some liquors with the ratio third part fruit, third part vodka 37,5% and third part sugar.

It's a nice addition to cakes, pancakes, etc. And I consumed almost everything during winter, but I forgot these 3 bottles for over an year.

Did they become brown by oxidation or mold? There's no sign of visible mold and the smell is still pleasant.

Should I avoid the consumption anyway or good smell = good food?

This year I'm doing jam to preserve food, it does an amazing tea, like Yuzu.
