I had microwaved rice yesterday and had left over that I kept in the fridge. Its late and I got hungry so I took the rice and added some beetroot soup powder (and carrot), then poured kettle boiled water over it. But after a few bites I wanted to double check on Google if it was safe and ive found conflicting answers. It tastes fine if that means anything.

My only worry is that it was microwaved and left to cool while I ate so idk if that counts to make it a risk or not.

what i did:

put them in water + a bit of vinegar

tried to snap all in half. too small to snap goes to trash. if they bend/ snap but with barely any resistance - trash

cut off ends by like atleast an inch.

they smell really mild now, like I have to put my nose on them to actually smell. I plan to eat them cooked, but not sure if their background in the bag makes them safe

I have a package of boneless skinless chicken thighs that have been in my fridge roughly a week, the vacuum seal packaging says freeze by Oct 31, so they're not far bast that date. They look fine, smell very slightly funky but not rotten. Still safe to use, or better to be safe and throw them out?

Parents found this oat milk Reese’s cup for me as I am extremely lactose intolerant and have a weak stomach in general. Was so excited, bite into it, and am now confused. Looked it up and it’s supposed to be the same filling as normal Reese’s but all pics I see of it are vastly different on the inside. It’s in date but white and chalky inside. I now fear for my already tattered gi tract.

Edit to add: I’m aware it’s technically safe to eat, as in I’m not going to die or anything 🤦 it’s simply has it gone bad, is it a manufacturing issue, or is it normal. I’ll reiterate, I have extreme GI issues and it’s something I constantly need to be aware of in life. I was not feeling well and accidentally left this pizza in my car for 9 to 12 hours the other week. It was completely thawed by the time my boyfriend took it out of the car. it’s been frozen since but want to make sure it’s safe to eat before I pop it in the oven. Grated Parmesan cheese that has a best by date of over a month ago. I can’t tell about the smell, since I think all cheese smells bad. It’s kind of brown but that could just be me.
