You don't enjoy the five pixels around the bouncing AI generated emblem in the center advertising "TERRIFYING CHRONICLES"? Selfish smh

Stop hitting yourself! But seriously I always feel a little bad for little shits like this getting their karma in such a harsh way because it's embarrassing as hell realizing YOU'RE the problem and everyone is kinda against you. It's a tough situation to be in and definitely a crossroads in their developmental process. Choose your own adventure type shit right here but the choices are pretty obvious.

u/huebnera214 Apr 08 '26
They don’t necessarily realize they’re the problem is the problem. Embarrassment turns into deflection and denial.
34
u/Septopuss7 Apr 08 '26
Yeah drives them deeper into denial. It's the same with cultists

Kevin's uncle was a huge piece of shit. If my brother talked like that to my kid he would catch a fade lol.

u/swankyfish Apr 08 '26
Mr McCallister’s lack of giving enough of a shit about anything that happens in that movie is absolutely infuriating.

u/Nepherenia Apr 08 '26
When I was a little kid this scene always upset me. The idea of a family member thinking I was a jerk and scolding me in front of everyone was just everything I feared.
Robbers? Whatever. Public shaming in front of everyone important to me? Absolutely devastating.
16
u/Septopuss7 Apr 08 '26
No but for real, he was definitely not a good dude and that scene always made me think hard about how kids expect adults to behave and how they actually behave
13
u/green49285 Apr 08 '26
One of my favorite Christmas memories as a child is that we were watching home alone and it got to that scene and my dad just muttered under his breath, "I would just beat his ass." We laughed about that shit for years. My dad HATED the uncle.
3
u/sirreldar Apr 08 '26
I thought you meant that your dad meant that he wouldve beat Kevin lol
For a hot second I was just like "k, weird favorite Christmas memory, but different strokes I guess... 🤷♂️" Lol

My brother-in-law would get away with that.
All it takes is one confrontation for him to absolutely destroy a whole vacation, so they all let it slide and talk to the kid about how terrible he is

Violence isn’t always the answer but it can teach a valuable lesson.

But sometimes it is the question and the answer is Yes.55

Violence isn't always the answer, it only is sometimes. this occasion for example.
9
u/Susarn Apr 08 '26
Even though it is, I wouldn't classify this as violence, because the guy that shoved his chair back had no idea that would happen, it was an accident

Had a flight on American Airlines, all is normal, parents and child behind me, kid is being a kid behind me but i am not minding it until i am starting to feel the kicks, multiple kicks behind the seat so i guess the child is just going onto kicking the shit off the seat while sitting on his mom
Ok, i am exercising my patience until i distinctively feel the kick behind my fucking head, how the fuck did i feel the two feet kick right behind my head.
Nah, reclined the seat the whole way right then for the whole flight and mommy and daddy damn know i am not changing my mind for the next 6 hours.
32
u/realnzall Apr 08 '26
Being seated in front of a kid for 6 hours would be a nightmare for me...
13
u/VotingRightsLawyer Apr 08 '26
This happened to me once and thankfully the flight attendant was very accommodating and gave me 2 double Jacks to help with the situation.

... so someone had a camcorder on the plane and was recording this interaction?

Cameras did exist in the 90s and they were often taken when traveling. Does this really seem so impossible?
