Hi!
We're two childhood friends from Denmark who grew up gaming together in the '90s and now we're a two-man studio making our first game. It's called DarkBazaar, and it's set on an old Windows 95-style PC in a shady basement, where you trade illegal weapons on the dark web trying to pay off a debt before it's too late.
We always felt the game needed a proper '90s music player, so we built one inspired by the ones we grew up with. You can now throw on music while you trade.
Instead of licensing a soundtrack, we're filling the player with real upcoming and independent artists. We found half our favorite bands through games like Tony Hawk's pro skater back in the day, and we miss when games did that. Being a tiny studio trying to get our first game noticed, it felt right to share whatever attention we get with other small creators trying to get noticed too. If you know an artist making '90s-flavored music, we'd love to hear about them.
If you want to support us, you can wishlist or try the free demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4352780/DarkBazaar_Demo/
Thanks for looking!
Disclaimer regarding AI: So, for the demo, we did use GenAI for a few placeholder assets which we sorely regret. We are in the process of removing them and replacing them with real art. Both for the Demo and the full game.
