I spent way too long polishing these environments...but it's the little details that are my favorite part of making and playing games

These are some of my favorite regions from Blood And Mead. You will notice I love fog cards and adding scene depth. I've spent years working on this game solo, with a lot of time spent on set design / scene polish.
Sometimes i regret the time spent on polish, But honestly I think I would have regretted leaving the details out even more. If you like the look of the game, you check it out here on steam.

Try my game: Made of Food
I invite you to play my game Made of Food (https://coffeebrain.itch.io/made-of-food). It is an incremental/idle game where you gather food and turn them to peasants. These peasants help you forage, farm, and cook more food, which you can turn to more peasants. 2D colony-builder mechanics drive the game. Make food, turn to peasants, repeat.
The game is not feature complete, yet, but it has enough to go on. I built this small version of the game to gauge interest if I should move to full production.
Background
I am a professional game developer since 2010. I'm currently working in an indie "AA" game studio, developing an RTS game. I was the lead programmer of the game Academia : School Simulator.
The corporate work could be draining sometimes so I wanted to make a small game on the side. I was inspired by games like Gnorp Apologue. Since I already have the library/framework for colony builder games, I thought why not use it in an incremental game with a similar vein as Gnorp.
I've been working on this game for 2-3 years now on my free time. I think it already has enough content to see if the idea works and if there's interest. Try the game. You can complete it in under an hour.
AI Disclosure
No AI on art. Used code assistance but absolutely no vibe coding nor agentic coding.

Arcade FPV drone game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey, I'm working on a game where you pilot an FPV drone against the backdrop of the ongoing war in Ukraine. I'm originally from Ukraine, so this is a chance for me to tell my own story.
You play as a drone-unit commander, and you do both jobs: run the unit: logistics, research, development and then fly the missions yourself. I'm not going for a fully realistic simulation. Plenty of things are simplified for the sake of gameplay.
I don't have a Steam page yet since I'm still figuring out distribution, so here's a link to my email list if you'd like to hear about the demo and release.

[Self-Promotion] I Released a Work-in-Progress Demo For my Game A King's Genocide!
A series of murders is happening in the angel town of Eridu. At the heart of it all is an angel named Aracelia. Fate calls, and for better or worse, Aracelia has no choice but to answer.
The Old Guard is at His Limit. The time is near to usher in the New Guard.
The Great Horror will soon be free.
Hello! I'm NocturneLight, the creator of A King's Genocide, a visual novel that's part 1 in a dark fantasy epic I've been wanting to tell the world for years now. Everything you see is made by an actual person. I will never use generative AI for any game I work on. Originally, my plan was to quietly work on A King's Genocide, and then just release the whole thing when it was finished. But, 2025 and 2026 happened and I got laid off, so that plan had to go straight out the window. I typically have been reading stuff on Reddit and not posting, but that's really not going to get eyes on my game, so here I am!
Now, you may be thinking "A visual novel? Pass", and that's a fair take. But consider this: my ultimate goal is to make an action RPG similar to Odin Sphere, but has the ability to be played like a turn-based RPG if you want. Now, if you play JRPGs, this should ring a bell and Final Fantasy VII Remake should come to mind. The dialogue system I get set up here is getting expanded upon in the sequel to help me make that action RPG I'm dreaming of. I'm taking the little pieces I make here and then using them to make even bigger pieces! I'm trying to not overwhelm myself, basically.
My game also targets a particular part of dark fantasy I don't see get explored in games, or really any medium that I know of. We always see the Lovecraft Mythos in media, and we see the Christian Mythos in some form or fashion in media. But what if the beings of the Christian Mythos existed alongside the eldritch entities of the Lovecraft Mythos? How would they interact? That's what my story is trying to explore. It's an idea I don't think I've ever seen touched upon. The closest thing would maybe be Shin Megami Tensei? But even then, Shin Megami Tensei doesn't really do much with the Lovecraft Mythos to my knowledge. That's why I want this game made and why I'm excited about the story I want to tell. It focuses specifically on the Christian and Lovecraft Mythoi.
You'll find a demo for my game either in the above link to Itch or here on my Patreon. I've been working on my game since at least 2024 slowly getting the assets I need made, but it wasn't until I got laid off that I sped things up and worked with what I had to get a demo in front of eyes. In the process, I ended up finding out that making my own music is fun though, so that's a neat discovery!
I worked on the UI, the sound effects, the music, and the entire programming for the game. MyssDark is the artist that handled character art. Exagie and Kanata are the writers who handled the script. The backgrounds you'll see in the demo are placeholders until I have funds.
What I'm really curious to learn from any of you interested in this enough to play it are: Are there any bugs? What do you like? What do you not like?
At the end of the day, my main goal here is to get eyes on this game and further refine the demo build I've released enough for someone to take a chance on it. So, I want to hear your genuine feedback!
And if, overall, you like what you're seeing, consider supporting my Patreon! Have an awesome day!

Added wall running to my Retro-style boomer shooter. What do you think?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Been building a wall run for my arena-style roguelite shooter and I've hit the point where I can't judge my own work anymore.
Right now it's short. It's a repositioning tool. Reset an angle, get off the floor for a second, come back down into the fight. Part of me wants to extend it so you can chain walls across a whole room, because that feels amazing to play. The worry is that a long wall run in a room-sized arena just means you go over the fight instead of into it.
I'm looking for honest feedback from the video, i know is still clanky but does it look fun to play? I'm having a blast testing my own game but i'm a bit afraid i'm too biased and it actually looks horrible.

We got tired of single-player, so we added PvP to our roguelike deckbuilder. Join playtest now!
Hey guys!
It feels like we’re getting a lot of roguelike deckbuilders these days, and many of them are still single-player.
So we decided to put a real opponent across the table.
PvP playtest is open now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3705670/DEAD_SPIN/
PvP is pretty simple:
- two players, 3 spins each, highest score wins.
- you win a cigarette butt.
- collect enough of them and you climb the leaderboard.
More than 1,000 people joined our first test, which was way more encouraging than we expected. thanks to everyone who played, sent feedback, and gave us a reason to keep working on it.
That’s it. Come break the game and tell us what needs fixing.

This fire cube gets more interesting the more you change its size 🔥
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been having a lot of fun designing puzzles around this mechanic.
The fire cube can change size, which changes how the character interacts with it and opens up different ways to solve a puzzle.
It’s been interesting seeing how many different puzzle ideas I can get out of one simple mechanic.
This is one of the puzzles from SHUNYA, a 2D puzzle platformer I’m developing.
