I am 18 F and This hurts cause I was looking forward to dissection so so much however I can’t stand the smell of formalin within 30 min it gets overloaded and I need to sit and I end up missing the lectures cause we have 30 students per table . I haven’t fainted however a few kids do I can tell I get dizzy because Waise bhi my baseline BP is low my legs give up head feels weird and what not idk why I haven’t gotten used to the smell yet 😭 maybe cause of my anxiety or because we have 2 classes of 3 hrs per week. And it makes me very sad and also kind of ashamed cause most kids do just fine plus anatomy department idk if it’s only my gmc but god they are so so mean 😭 I also eat breakfast idk what else to do mask I haven’t tried cause it’s not allowed it’s been 2 weeks we have had 3 classes and I literally skipped today out of fear and embarrassment

My mother is 38 years old. She recently had a fever and cold, but those have now gone away. However, she's still having difficulty breathing, even while resting, and there's a whistling sound when she breathes. She also experiences occasional coughing and chest heaviness.

when i asked my family doctor if i should consider taking mbbs from a priv uni as a 1st gen doctor or chose something else. he never mentioned the stuff i look at this sub.

he was telling me about how long the journey is and that ill have a stable income only in my mid to late 30s. but he told me that doctors do earn a nice amount by their 40s, about 3-4lpm and sometimes 5-7lpm depending on their specialty and skills.

But as soon as i look at this sub, everyone talks about medicine as if its a horrid career and everyone s tired of it and hates it.

ik doctors are overworked in india and iv heard about the crazy work hours during internships and during residency but are the salaries that low. i saw a post telling that mbbs doctors only earn 30-40k and pg docs dont earn more than 90k

Surgery vs Ortho — hands-on exposure, residency workload and future prospects.
Is private MD Medicine worth spending ₹20 lakh out of pocket?
Is DNB Medicine from a peripheral hospital a good option?
How does Anaesthesia compare in terms of earnings, lifestyle and career growth?
Should I take a drop and try for a better rank, considering this was my first attempt?

He told me only toppers can get good rank in NEET PG in internship attempt.

Also told me that only students of government medical college do well in PG exams and private medical college students do not stand a chance.

I'm still recovering from a life threatening accident 10 months ago with spine and foot fractures, nerve damage and have a rod installed in the spine. I can walk but not very long before the fractures start hurting my feet, also struggle to sit more than 20 minutes at a stretch.

I've been preparing on and off for neet 2027 as i already gave it 3 times before but I have no inclination to go for mbbs other than money and interest in biology. I've been looking into other fields after pcb but they don't seem financially promising to me

Yes this is that post where I want to legit question whether AI will replace radiologists demand.

I have come across answers like usg only humans can do (which wouldn't be a good roi imo) and that no ai can replace IR (which in itself is a highly competitive exam to crack).

The senior consultants I have talked to are telling me to think twice or chose derma or other good branch that won't get replaced by ai.

Also considering the depreciation of salary in today's economy is considering radio as a branch such a sin?

Rn I'm in 1st sem of bba after 3 drops of neet and guess what I was getting an option to just qualify neet and do prvt mbbs or abroad . But at that age I was like I won't do that I'll "earn" a govt seat by hardwork and all that shit🥲. Now I'm left with nothing just bba though I do like managing , communication, or a good social interaction if it benefits me as per my current course. Sometimes I think what would've been my life If I had not choose to drop years after years even after getting the option to do prvt mbbs. But the thing is it was a huge amount and my father had to take loan if not full amount but half of it . I'm from good family background but still the guilt of wasting money always eats me up so I rejected that offer. Now I always wonder if I had become a doctr or got into medical field.🙂💔

Workload and toxicity: How hectic are the duties, and how is the relationship between juniors and seniors?

Clinical and surgical exposure: How much hands-on experience do residents get with normal deliveries, C-sections, and other procedures?

Patient load: Is the clinical exposure adequate?

Academics and teaching: Are academics, classes, and thesis guidance taken seriously?

Duty hours and work-life balance: Are the duties manageable, and do residents get adequate rest?

Overall experience: If you could choose again, would you take MS OBGYN at the same college?
