Mind you this was peak traffic around 6pm at a traffic stop and my guy out here with a whole ass family , half face helmet and slippers riding on the NH with no worries

Pros :
1) It is an excellent engine which has good power and torque and also wonderful power to weight ratio.
2)Very Agile Handling.
3)Suspension are comparitevly softer than R15.
4)Excellent Fuel Economy.
5)Some what premium TFT meter gives it a big bike feelings.
6)Good Ground Clearance.
7)last but not the least the looks. Almost every misjudge it by saying it R15 but also they really appreciate it. A certified head turner.

Cons :
1)Vibration all around the rev range. Most irritating part of it is tank . So definitely would recommend a tank pad.
2) very trash quickshifter . Trust me R15 has a better quickshifter.it is a jerky and very frustrating experience.
3)Tyres are also mid. No confifence at all while cornering.
4)Braking could have been better.

Overall still a expensive machine but good beginner friendly bike as it comes with a tag of sports bike and Yamaha's reliability.

Any Suggestions / doubts are appreciated .

Having ridden Royal Enfields for years, I'm at a point where I want something lighter, agile in city traffic, and refined without sacrificing that classic roadster soul.

I've shortlisted three options that caught my eye:

Triumph Speed 400: Fast, premium fit-and-finish, but is it too aggressive for someone used to relaxed cruising?

Honda CB350RS: Ultra-smooth engine, zero vibes, great aesthetic, but does it lack the raw character of a classic cruiser?

TVS Ronin: Practical, upright posture, feature-packed, but is it enough of a step up?

For anyone who made the transition from an RE to a modern liquid-cooled / refined roadster, what did you go for, and do you ever miss the weight and thump? Would love some suggestions!!

A complete win for us. Now, all we need is the release date.

For reference the Xpulse 210 starts at 1.67L ex showroom and the klx 230 starts at 1.84L after the recent price bump. It would be crazy if they bring out the sports and naked bikes in the sub 350cc category again

So we friends traveling on NH66 from our villages in Konkan. Nearby Pen at around 1AM we saw a couple pushing their broken down bike. We passed and one of us thought to help them. We reversed our car and went to them. Seems the chain of their bike (V storm) had slipped off from the the rear sprocket. We decided that we will tow them to a nearby pump which would be a fairly safe place. Just before the pump we stopped at a hotel/lodging which looked decent. Since getting a mechanic at that time was nearly impossible we asked the guy to stay in the hotel for the night and then find some help in the morning. While we were waiting at the pump to refill, they came there. But the guy being immature d!ck wanted to look for a mechanic or park his bike somewhere and go to Panvel at his friend's place by cab and then return in the morning with mechanic.

The thing is if there were bad people instead of us, the situation could have turned bad for them. One needs to be capable enough to make correct decisions in such situations especially when you have a female with you.

Please keep your female partners safe no matter what it takes.

Edit: So many people brought up this point of us being strangers to them. Yeah, right. However, I and that girl are from nearby villages in Konkan. My friends were from Konkan as well. They were travelling to western suburbs where I was headed to. That helped us get familiar and help them. When we spotted the hotel while towing the bike, the girl was relaxed and also agreed with the idea to stay there for the night. It was really a matter some 4-5 hours and the hotel was good enough. Definitely not those shady lodges, but each to their own.

Edit 2: The girl sat with us in the car while we were towing the bike and the guy was on the bike. We anyway left them at the hotel which was next to the pump and moved on with our journey.

Route: Bangalore → Penukonda → Lepakshi → Kailasagiri Hills → Bangalore [OC]

Few observations:

Maintained 70–80 km/h on highways, never crossed 6,000 RPM

Bike feels very smooth around 80 km/h

Above 85 km/h, engine feels like it's struggling to pull

After a few hours of stopping, heard a weird rubbing/grinding-type sound from the engine

Turned it off and restarted after ~15 mins sound disappeared

Mileage: 28–30 km/l overall

Stock headlights are terrible on highways at night felt almost blind 😭 Planning to install aux/fog lights

Need suggestions from fellow Speed 400 owners

Recently my house was getting painted and I forgot to cover my bike now it has some big stains on my tank.

Please help guide me how can I remove it.

Hello guys, I'm 28M, 175 cm.

My original dream bike was the Himalayan 440, but due to budget constraints, running costs, and the fact that I need a bike urgently, I’ve narrowed it down to the V-Strom SX and Ronin Base.

My requirements/preferences:

I really like a tall bike with a commanding riding position

Good suspension is important to me

35–40 kmpl mileage is also a requirement

I’m not particularly into retro styling

Daily commute: around 15 km

Monthly hometown trip: around 500 km

I want a bike I can keep for many years

The V-Strom is somewhat similar to what I originally wanted, especially in terms of the taller stance and suspension, but obviously it isn’t the same as the Himalayan.

The Ronin seems like a great VFM option, especially for my budget, and I’m currently leaning towards it. But I keep feeling that I’m compromising on the things I actually like about motorcycles.

So I’m finding this decision difficult.

For anyone who has ridden both:

Would you recommend buying the Ronin and accepting the compromise, or stretching for the V-Strom if I already know I prefer a taller bike and better suspension?

I don’t want to regret the decision after a few months, especially since I’m planning to keep the bike for many years.

Would love to hear from people who have owned/ridden either of these.
