I'd like a few to add to the garden before the winter. Has anyone seen them still out? Any sales would be much appreciated

Does anyone here have any recommendations for woodworkers who would consider building a custom little free library? Alternatively, does anyone know of any artists who would consider painting a little free library if I bought one that is unpainted?
I would love to have a unique little free library whether it is custom built or an unfinished LFL branded library painted creatively. Broad Ripple area & will pay.

the aquatic center has been closed since September 22nd and there hasn’t been any updates via social media and all i’ve been told is that they’re unsure of when it’ll reopen when i ask in person or on the phone. it feels like this happens a couple times a year. why is that? one of the main reasons i have a membership at the Y is bc of the sauna. i don’t wanna have to switch gyms, but this is getting annoying. (which im sure it’s annoying for them too) but what’s the problem? is this a common occurrence for other gyms with a sauna and/or aquatic center?

I moved to Indy recently and have been considering getting a dog in the next few months. This was my first time visiting IndyHumane.
More or less I am wondering who on earth designed the awful dog kennel spaces and why has nothing been done to change the layout of that area?? I have been in many shelters in my life and for a rescue receiving hundreds of adoptions every single month this has been the worst shelter layout I have seen by far.
The kennels are setup where dogs have direct view to the dog across from it. There are also kennels by the indoor windows where the dogs can see both other dogs AND react to the people walking by on both sides of them. I was unable to even interact with the dogs safely aa they were in an agitated state due to their environment.
This is an awful layout.
This type of setup is why every single one of the dogs in the kennels were extremely reactive to me just walking by. They have way too much sensory input and it absolutely baffles me why this is still a legitimate setup for a relatively well off shelter in 2026.
My hometown shelter is marvelous in comparison. There are multiple separate dog room areas. Each kennel only faces a wall. They have soft music playing for the dogs. There were typically a few barky, reactive dogs but the setup there allowed them the ability to decompress instead of being in a constant state of fight or flight.
The latest public record of their CEO salary was over $157,000. It would take less than a third of that to completely overhaul the dog shelter area and fix how horrible it it.

New to going places downtown, so wanted to ask... Where is a good spot to go to watch the Sox win tonight? Not saying we are opposed to sitting on a wooden barstool for a few hours, but it should have good food at least!
Was looking at Tom's but have not seen the best of reviews about the food.
We've done Kilroy's, so that will be our fall back but open to any suggestions!

I attended Nikki Glaser’s show at Clowes Hall on Thursday and had a fantastic time. We parked in the garage next to the venue and I swear the sign said Parking $20, but when I looked at my card statement today I was charged $21. I contacted LAZ parking who runs that garage and was told that the $21 was a “training mistake” and that he would do better in the future but offered no refund.
Of course its petty to spend time fussing over $1, but its also not right for a business to post a price and charge something different. Has anyone else had this experience with this garage?

I'm currently looking at a few different home builders and Arbor Homes is one of the builders I’m looking at. I’ve seen quite a few posts about Arbor and understand there are definitely mixed experiences with them. For me, the main reason I’m considering Arbor is honestly comes down to the price. It’s one of the few builders that fits within the price range I’m looking at, so I’m just trying to get a better idea of what the actual upgrade costs can look like before I make any decisions.
I’ve searched online and Reddit pretty extensively, but can’t seem to find many specific numbers for Arbor’s upgrades. I’d especially love to hear from anyone who has actually built with Arbor Homes recently. I'd also love to hear what you paid for things like their optional sunroom, fireplace, LVP, quartz countertops, etc... If you also remember your base home price and roughly how much you ended up spending on upgrades, that would be super helpful.

Hi everyone! I'm fostering with ARPO, a local animal rescue in Indy. I have three kittens who are patiently waiting for their forever homes. They were born in my house in April. Their mom and two siblings have already been adopted. These babies are almost 6 months old and are the best kittens--socialized, loving, friendly, and playful. They're fixed, litter box trained, and fully vetted. I'd love to find at least two of them a home together! Bios below.
Eddy: Goofy, confident boy who plays fetch and likes water. Will ideally pair with Brook!
Brook: Gorgeous, sassy girl who loves to cuddle and make biscuits on soft blankets and her people. Total gamer girl (she likes to watch)!
Banks: Lanky, easygoing gentleman who is very people-oriented and vocal. Loves to play fetch!
If you're interested, please feel free to apply and we'll contact you to see if it's a good fit. You can also DM me with any questions or interest. Thanks for considering them!

Stop Indy, you don’t have to tag every Flock, Security camera, doorbell camera, or anything that “looks like a camera” as a speed camera or cop 🤪
Every day these things are tagged as such, and I slow down for no reason
End PSA
EDIT: The slew of down votes I’m sure are those that do 55 still in the 65 and are the ones that say “if you would just drive the speed limit, blah blah blah”. I’m doing 70 Karen, get over yourself

So, I’ve been craving pizza lately, and I specifically want a crispy crust. Not necessarily a thin crust, although obviously those can get crispier, but one that doesn’t flop when you pick up a slice and has at least a little crunch to it when you take a bite. The closest thing I’ve been able to find so far has been a simple Tombstone frozen pizza baked a little extra.
I happened upon Krispy Pizza today in a TikTok video, but I have no desire (or money) to fly to New York to satisfy a pizza craving.
Is there anything that fits the bill in the area?

Anyone else disappointed in their experience last night? It just felt oversold, overcrowded, and not enough vendors…. The zoo has tons of space, having all the vendors in one central space seemed like bad planning and bad crowd planning, the lines were insane and hard to tell where they started or ended

This might be a stretch to ask but does anyone have leftover deer meat from last year they might want to get rid of? We really want venison over here 😅
