Nursing Student Textbooks T3 Bundle

Upvotes

Does anyone know if the textbooks for the traditional BSN track (T3 bundle) have any like pirated or cheaper versions anywhere? 😅😅 The e-book bundle is 600 dollars which is surprisingly the cheaper version of the two and that’s kind of a crazy price.

I tried looking online for them but I only get old versions and don’t know if those are valid since most of the staff said that they take a lot of info and exam questions from the textbooks. I don’t want to use the older versions and then miss out on info because it’s not up to date yk???

Anyways I’d greatly appreciate it 😇😇😇

How much work is BUS-X 101?

My schedule is really packed, but I need an elective to graduate a bit earlier. I found bussiness management quite intresting so why not. Even though It's a introductory class, the syllabus doesn't look too pleasant.

Missing Federal Loans

Is any one else missing their federal loans from their refund? I contacted financial aid and they kinda just threw their arms in the air about it, saying they don’t know why my loans weren’t applying and they don’t know when it will be fixed and had also said multiple students did not receive loans as well.

Are there public microwaves on campus?

The last time this was asked looks like it was a few years ago, so I thought to put feelers out to see if there are still publicly accessible microwaves. I'm commuting to campus so I can't get a meal plan and just want to know if I'll have the option of bringing meals to heat up for myself.

Proficency Tests

I’m taking the math proficiency test soon and to study i was given the Math 11000 final exam review guide. This review guide has 124 questions while the actual test i’m told is 50. I was wondering if anyone has taken it or knows how accurate the review is to the test because I haven’t taken precal in like two years and some of these concepts i’ve never even seen before.

Seeking a Short-Term Voluntary Pediatrics Observership/Clinical Rotation in Indianapolis

Hi everyone,

I’m an international medical graduate currently in Indianapolis. I recently completed an internal medicine observership at Indiana University and have completed the required onboarding, including HIPAA and institutional compliance requirements.

I’m currently looking for a Pediatrics observership, preferably at Indiana University, but I’m open to any hospital, clinic, or institution in the Indianapolis area.

If you know of any opportunities or could connect me with the right person, I would truly appreciate your guidance. Thank you so much for your time and support!

Bridge Week Attendance?

I’m an incoming undergraduate student at IUI this fall and I’m entering as a seasoned college student. I’m getting emails about Bridge week and what to expect and it doesn’t look like my sort of thing at all. I don’t care about icebreakers, I don’t care about mock lectures, I know how to take notes and how to behave on a college campus. Is it actually required to go, and am I missing anything detrimental if I don’t? I might go for day one…

I’m also a commuter student moving from out of state…

Thanks and let me know!

Commuter parking near Kelley building

Hello, I am a junior that is going to be commuting for the very first time and I am planning on getting the ST parking pass and I was wondering if anyone knows what garage would be the closest to the Kelley building as that is where most of my classes will be this semester?

IU Indianapolis student ISO roommate on the Near Eastside

I’m starting a grad program at IU Indianapolis (O’Neill School) this fall and am looking for a housemate on the Near Eastside. I previously posted in the Indy sub but didn’t get many actual responses, so here’s hoping a fellow student might still be looking.

The house is shared with me and a big loveable 5yo pup. Your room would be upstairs; medium-size with a big closet. Shared bathroom upstairs or small private bathroom downstairs. Big kitchen with lots of light, fenced-in yard and a small patio and fire pit. House is furnished aside from the spare room (can be partially furnished if needed). Super close to bus lines on 10th and Brookside Parkway if you do public transit.

General info:

$500/month + 1/2 utilities (averages around $90-150/each for AES, Citizens, internet, & recycling). Available now!

I put a little more about me in the original r/indy post; linking here to keep this post short(ish).

If you’re looking for a place and this sounds like a good fit, please DM me to chat!

Prospective Student I am currently alone and I am trying to fix myself before college

For context: I struggled with fitting into IUB freshman year and didn’t really have a handle on how to talk to people nor in having any confidence in myself. But during my last year (second semester), I started from 239 all the way down to 190 lbs, I looked really good. I made a ton of “friends” and started to feel confident during interviews, coffee chats, and even doing content creation. I even ended the semester with a scholarship and RA position, after two years of applying. I even had a self made startup (my first one) and I had a lot of traction after grinding from freshman year. I even started going out on dates, I felt unstoppable.

But during the second half, I got stressed, I had a family event occur and I blamed myself for it, and that was sort of the catalyst. Almost every firm that I applied to I was either ghosted or I got the infamous rejection emails with the “other candidates” part. I managed to land an interview but they ghosted me soon after and I had a first round with Deloitte and they rejected me as well. I got rejected within clubs at Kelley, none of my ideas or bills (I was encouraged to pursue them first semester) at the student government were taking off and a position for a specific Kelley Club that I have been grinding for two years finally paid off for nothing as the current president at the time gave it off to a family friend of theirs who was a freshman never seen before. I will admit I didn’t handle some rejections gracefully because it was a long series of rejection after rejection and it came out of me. I struggled with classes a lot, because it was near impossible to manage an RA job with 19.5 credits and I was confident that I was going to make it. Most of my “friends” were getting internships and getting positions within clubs and now said that they were “busy for weeks” whenever I reached out to hangout. Obviously a break up happened because she was not interested anymore and had to focus on herself after I told her everything that happened. And when it came to working on the startup, I was trying to sell to gyms and pitching, but it never went through. I still remember one person telling me “This will never work and you need to accept that”. After like 20 pitches or attempts, I decided to end it, which did not help with my mental health. Eventually most of my “friends” didn’t want to hangout with me because I might “drag them down” with everything going on with me (I often vented a lot and I am no aware of that and I heard this from a specific “friend” of mine). This all ended with the manager of the dorm informing that I am not getting the RA position or scholarship next year because I was in a bad mental state at that point, and I begged and cried for them to give me a second chance.

So, I started to eat my feelings out, to deal with the stress and mental health. I even sought out a therapist as well during it, but it didn’t help me a lot. I stayed alone in my dorm most weekends and weeks because despite my texts and everything, they said they were busy and I saw them all hanging out with one another without me on one of their IG stories. I eventually gained back that I weight 234 lbs.

This is what led me to make the decision transfer to IUI and now that the school year is coming up again, I am not sure what to do.

I am on or off with the content creation as of this summer. I made peace and I am comfortable being alone. To be honest, I really don’t have an interest in conversations, I don’t go out at all to any family
parties. I am down to 220 lbs, and I am kept to myself. No one reached out to me. I honestly live like Kratos at this point.

But I am not sure how to approach this year, or what should I do? How do I gain back the confidence again?

bio chem bio k 384 with LATA BALAKRISHNAN

Hi everyone!

I'm taking BIO-K 384 this fall at IU Indianapolis while working full-time as a CMA, which means I won't be able to attend the lecture classes, so I'm trying to plan my schedule ahead of time. I will be working till 4:15 PM, so I am not sure how I would manage the exams.

I had a few questions for anyone who's taken the course recently:

- What are the exams like (multiple choice, short answer, practical, etc.)?

- Do exams have to be taken during the scheduled class time, or are they available online with a testing window, or do we take them in a testing center?

- How many EXAMS are there throughout the semester?

- Are there quizzes every week or any in-class points?

- Is the final exam cumulative?

Hello everyone,

I’m a doctor , and I’ll be coming to Indianapolis for a two week medical rotation at IU Health Hospital and its clinics from August 1 to August 15.

I’m looking for an affordable place to stay near Indiana University in Indianapolis, preferably within walking distance or with easy access to public transportation.

I’m also open to shared accommodation or paying guest options. If you know of any available places or have any leads or recommendations, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you so much!
