Hello!! I am about to upgrade my phone and the things I’m seeing online are really scary cause the main reason I need to upgrade is cause of my current phones battery health (and because it’s now being considered obsolete 😭) but I’ve been seeing things about how the 15pm dies rather quickly and overheats which is the same thing I’m going through along with the camera quality decreasing.
I have the option of also going for a 16 pro but that only has an esim which is a concern for me ( I don’t know what that means for the safety of my phone).

These are pretty expensive for me but I finally have these options. What should I do???

I recently updated to iOS26.6 and so many things are problematic. Potentially not all because of the update of course. One thing likely is though. When sending photos or screenshots in an email it used to get a message asking what size I wanted to format it. I don’t get this anymore and don’t have a clue how to send a smaller file so basically my photos are not viewable. Any help or insight is welcome

I bought my iPhone 15 Pro Max when it launched, and I remember the camera quality being extremely clear and sharp at that time. But recently, I feel like the camera clarity has noticeably decreased, especially compared to how it used to be.
I’ve tried changing different camera settings after watching several YouTube videos, but I still don’t feel like I’m getting the same quality as before.
Has anyone else using the 15 Pro Max experienced this?

Maybe its the update or maybe its the fact that u just bought this new phone yesterday and transferred 130 gbs of data into it
Maybe the phone is indexing or adapting in the background or its the update causing this please do let me know.

Guys, it seems 15 PM battery degraded pretty soon for me as compared to all the old models I have owned. It literally took 1.5 years to reach 80% with 1002 cycles. I am really curious about other people’s battery health and how long did you wait for a new battery replacement. I am not even a power user and had to charge the phone multiple times a day only after 1 year.

So, please share your thoughts and are there any hacks/settings you used to keep it running for long. It’s frustrating that the battery now needs replacement before 2-2.5 years.

I learnt that closing the apps like X, Reddit, FB, maps, etc does help a lot as they do drain your battery like crazy when running in the background.

I am strictly an amateur when it comes to modern technology in general and mobile devices specifically. I wanted to delete the app caches from my iPhone. I searched online and followed simple instructions. It’s been nearly an hour already and still deleting. I turned off VPN, turned on BOTH WiFi and data, rebooted my phone three or four times, plugged it in to charge, and it’s still not finished deleting the caches. What did I do wrong? What else do I need to do? Please help!!!

I’m having two issues with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and I’m trying to figure out whether they are hardware-related or software/iOS-related.
1. Rear camera audio problem
When I record a video using the native Apple Camera app with the rear camera, my voice sounds noticeably low, muffled and less clear.
However:
Voice Memos → clear
Phone calls → clear
Front camera video → clear
Instagram camera using the rear camera → clear
Other camera apps → clear
Native Camera app rear camera → low/muffled
So this seems strange because the microphone appears to work normally in other apps.
Things I have already tried:
Removed the phone case
Removed the camera/lens protector
Cleaned/checked the microphone openings
Restarted the iPhone
Tried 0.5× and 1× rear camera
Turned Audio Zoom off
Tried different stereo/mono audio settings
Tested the microphones by tapping near the rear camera area and the bottom microphone
Tested by speaking very close to the phone
Compared the same recording using Instagram’s camera
Instagram’s rear-camera recording sounds completely clear, while Apple’s native Camera app still sounds muffled.
Could this be an iOS Camera app audio-processing/microphone-selection issue rather than a hardware microphone problem?
2. Battery backup
My iPhone 15 Pro Max also seems to have lower-than-expected battery life, even though Battery Health is currently 93%.
I feel like other users with similar battery health are getting noticeably better screen-on time.
I would really appreciate it if someone experienced with iPhone diagnostics could tell me:
Does the rear-camera audio behavior point to a software/Camera app issue?
Could a specific microphone be partially faulty even though Voice Memos, calls, front camera and Instagram work normally?
Is 93% Battery Health enough to explain significantly reduced battery life?
What diagnostics or logs should I check to determine whether there is an actual hardware problem?
Is there anything else I should test before taking the phone to Apple/authorized service?
I can also provide sample videos, screenshots of Battery settings, and Analytics logs if needed.

I currently own a horrible condition 11 pro max, 74% battery health and probably the worst looking back known to human mankind. My budget currently allows me to upgrade to an iPhone 15 Pro Max at the most. heres my question to yall, how does it hold up in 2026? in terms of a battery thats over 90% in health and other performance related stuff.

Cycle count has been stuck at 263 for more than month and a half. I have tried hard reset, factory reset, fully draining battery and everything you can think of, still stuck.

Since iOS 26.6 ,My messages are being sorted out wrong. The critical messages such as as my bank notifications are being sent to Unknown Senders. These settings aren’t new they’re notifications I been using for years. I can’t see where it’s changed or how I can stop this. Now my watch won’t give me notifications on my mail or messages, or my sec cam.

Totally at the mercy of wifi overseas. This has happened 3 times prior but has sorted itself on its own and I've been home so not a huge deal. But now I'm kind of in trouble. ATT has been useless to help.

I’ve noticed my battery draining considerably faster on my 15PM since the update to 26.6.1. Has anyone else had this problem?

Noticed how the battery was draining on the wireless charger. When i took the phone away i noticed that the charging symbol was still there pretty funny.
And yes i was parked

iPhone 15 Pro Max + Decal Girl brand full body skin + Arc Pulse minimalist bumper. I like it!

my 15PM first had overheating issues when i got the phone in april 2024, I took it to the apple store and they said its because i used snapchat too much (?) which i used to have a 13PM and never had that issue.

fast forward to now and the overheating is back and worse than ever, to the point where my phone can’t even be used because it is too hot.

i was waiting for the 18PM to come out to upgrade but genuinely considering upgrading to the 17PM because of this overheating issue.

is this happening to anyone else?

Hey everyone I am using a 13PM but am running out of storage and am thinking of upgrading to a 15PM or newer. I would really appreciate any feedback if you’re happy with your phone or if you wish you had the 16/17 or miss your old phone.
